You are very strong and hopefully the cancer won't pester you any more.

Thank you so much for posting this. I've watched a few journeys yours was informative and good to watch, without a lot of the emotive drama that is sometimes posted. About to do this myself in Australia. Hope you have enjoyed the move!

I will undergo I-31 radiation test next month due to detection of thyroid cancer.

Also, add lemon juice to the list with nose pillows of things we're burning after all of this

Yeah. Gosh. It's weird how I forget some things sometimes. But yes, I am not a fan of nosebleeds and iodine radiation

Thank you for your video. I'm going through RAI 123 and 131. I begin in a few days starting with 123. My tumor marker was 8. May I ask what your tumor marker was before RAI? How are you doing now? Thank you. Casey

If you don't mind me asking what type of thyroid replacement medicine do you take? I'm on levothyroxine 125 and I have insomnia really bad and anxiety. I had my surgery for papillary thyroid cancer in September 2022 and will need radiation. So your videos have really helped. Thank you again 🌺

Thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate it. I'm also on levothyroxine. Currently, 112 & I'm about 165lbs. The dr said they want my thyroid hormone high since my immune system is still low, so keeping it high prevents my thyroid cancer from coming back. I think the lowest I've been on was 100. I'm lucky and I don't have significant insomnia or anxiety from it, but I also take a low dose of effexor daily which has really helped with anxiety.

I'd imagine that the doctor is open to your feedback about side effects though? Maybe they'll be more open to lowering the dose after radiation since there will be a lower chance that anything could spread?

@@boundlessintrepiddiscovery7242 Thank you so much. I was just on the phone with my Dr. and she was able to address my concerns with the medication they are trying to keep my levels low and we will see after the radiation. I am just trying to figure it all out and have a clear understanding of what to expect. She did say that she didn't think the medication was the cause of my anxiety or the insomnia. And to be honest I didn't sleep well before the medicine. But never too this degree. I truly appreciate your responding back and sharing what you have experienced. Thank you so very much. 🌺

Hey. I just did what the Dr's told me I needed to do. It was a pain, but I try my best to follow their instructions for my own protection. Good to know that it wasn't necessarily required though because I was worried that I didn't do enough. I lost taste for quite a while after.

Been there, done that? Rude much? Not everyone gets the same dosage. Hers was probably higher than yours which is why they suggested she did the lemon every hour. I’d rather listen to the professionals than someone who thinks they know it all from their own individualized experience. 🙄
great job OP! I wish my hospital offered to quarantine me, I had to do it at home with a big household too!

They originally wanted it higher but I reminded them that I had bone marrow failure previously so within 2 minutes after saying that the Dr was like oh well we can do lower, it's all more of an estimate anyways. Which kind of threw me off how nonchalant the Dr was about changing the amount. But I did feel more comfortable with lower
