There's an old saying and it fits so well:"you guys are hitting on all 8 cylinders", batting 100, knocking it out of the park....thank you and God bless
Unfortunately a righteous king would be flat out rejected by most countries, including the United States. Therefore, we must protect a democracy at all costs.
About "Protect the sinner", 1 Corinthians5 explains exactly that, some times excommunication is necessary so the sinner does not sin against the Holly Ghost, and his own spirit may be saved. All is done in the wisdom, love and mercy of He who knows all things.
Hi this is Tom, look up President Benson, he said he put a lot of time, study and prayer. He said after going over and over on this subject, that Joesph Smith said that.
Apx 42:00 ….”If the constitution ever hangs by a thread”….. I guess that statement is defined individually. A citizen needs to understand just what is the constitution before he/she can-ever recognize if its hanging. From my perspective, it has been hanging precipitously since the Vietnam war period. Perhaps a 20 something year old is complacent living within the USA now, under all the infringements that have already occurred to the constitution. I thank my Lord frequently for every Holy Temple erected, that much more square footage reclaimed with each announcement.
This was FANTASTIC - thank you. I'd like to ask Bryce a favor. I love your one-off videos about a singular subject, would you please consider doing a video only about the "rights & responsibilities," as mentioned here, based off of Mosiah 29? I would LOVE to share it with my children. 😂🙏🏼
Is “mourning with those who mourn” part of our baptismal covenant? I recently heard it wasn’t and reread Alma 18 closely and I can see the argument that Alma was asking as a prerequisite maybe but then moves on to the covenant after? I can see the argument but I was taught this my entire life. I also couldn’t find direct quotes from prophets saying it was. So I thought I’d turn to the covenant expert team in you two haha.
What if it is tied to the second room in the 3 part space of the temple, in Nephi’s spatial symbolic connection it would be NAHOM. See “In the Language of Adam” by my (Mike) friend Dave Butler for more information on this idea. Also check out what LeGrand Baker and Stephen Ricks do with this concept in “Who shall Ascend into the Hill of the Lord!” Both books address this concept through a temple lens that I find quite convincing and worth consideration.
Dino, the way I read Messiah 18 is this: in 8 and 9 he is saying “if you have these desires…” then in verse 10 he says “I invite you to make the covenant.” 8 and 9 nine are the character of those who make the covenant, they are not necessarily the covenant. If you read carefully in 10, what follows the words “that ye will…” is the covenant.
@@talkingscripture Stronger and Closer Connection to God Through Multiple Covenants DALE G. RENLUND Baptism is the first covenant that everyone makes on the covenant path. The baptismal covenant is a public witness to Heavenly Father of three specific commitments: to serve God, to keep His commandments, and to be willing to take on the name of Jesus Christ. The other facets that are frequently associated with the baptismal covenant-that we “bear one another’s burdens,” “mourn with those that mourn,” and “comfort those that [are] in need of comfort”- ARE FRUITS OF MAKING THE COVENANT RATHER THAN PART OF THE ACTUAL COVENANT. These facets are important because they are what a converted soul would naturally do.
This so good. Thanks guys
