Cysmic is an epic sci-fi strategy wargame set amidst a crumbling planet. Players assume the role of one of the factions on the planet that is fighting desperately to survive. Throughout the game, players gather resources, capture enemy units, and work to construct their colony ship. Once built, the colony ship must be launched once all of your units are evacuated. The faction to do so first not only escapes with their lives but also ends up destroying the planet with the force of their ship's ignition. There are no points in Cysmic. The winner is the player who completes the objective first.

This game looks so good! But the entire time I was thinking about cosmic frog (because of the destroying of the landscape). Cosmic frog does feel a lot more gimmicky, but I think that's also why I like it so much.
I love some Cosmic Frog! That game really flies under the radar. Very cool and fun design!

She's a killer
LIttle heads up on the setup, Goos is my coopilot you start with 4 Influnce on your track (no control of any habitat), for Liberty Bells 2, the habitats once you control them you increase the influence, you will never drop below your initial Influence. So technically you cheated on initial Influence :P jajajaja. you do not start with controlled habitats unless stated so, take the Cutler Covenant as example, you start with 3 influence and a Settlement controlled, so you start with a boosted Influence of 6 in their case.
Another big thing the Relic discard to recover a card was layed wrong all the time :P, anyhow you had lots of fun.
see a few more mistakes on rules, but you are forgiven as you had lots of fun :P

Roughly an hour and a half in a 2 player game...hmm.
With higher player counts, is it still roughly 45 mins or so per player? Or does having more players make turns longer since you have more decisions and factors to consider?
Because my biggest hesitation for buying something like TI, (other than not having a dedicated group of people to play it with) is how long the game takes. I have yet to play TI myself, but I've heard that with a group of 4-5 players, going all out, it can take literally all weekend to play.
I've done that with my WoW board game, and it was fun, but exhausting. Not something I do very often lol. :)
Thanks for the feedback Carlin. The game is around 30 mins per player. If you head over to the BGG page, I have 3 different playthroughs that show 4 player games with me explaining along the way and they all last less than 2 hours. Of course first time plays may be a bit longer, but it's certainly not TI4 length by any means. Thanks for the comment!
Like was said below. This game moves well and while their are lots of things you can do the limitation projected by the card play keeps it streamlined.
