The tragedy of the Thunder Warriors is rather poignant, it shows the Emperor's character. The Emperor created the Thunder Warriors in his arrogance and impatience, he did not perfect them and only when their degradation and flaws came to light did he fix those flaws for the Astartes and expediate their own creation. You can also see the Emperor's twisted appreciation of life here too, he would kill off the Thunder Warriors and have them remembered as heroes of the Imperium, rather than allow their destructive behaviour paint them in a negative light in a world at peace. This is a rather big flaw of many of the Primarchs however, especially Magnus, in that he saw those soldiers created from his own genes and labours as his own sons. Magnus' empathy is a stark contrast to the lack or twisted sort of empathy that the Emperor develops. Had Magnus had the level of empathy the Emperor had, he would not made such concessions for his sons and therefore everything that happened that gave Tzeentch the power he has over them now, would not have come to pass. So... its a bit of give and take there. Horus had no problem purging his sons for his "greater good", and the Lion was willing to sacrifice his entire Legion to bring both Guilliman and Horus to heel. Hmm, maybe it is wise to say that it is not a "lack of empathy" but a "vast intellectual pragmatism"?
The last of them was slain by the 12th when we were still the warhounds on cerebrus thought to be a simple prison world rose up instead we found mortals but also thunderwarriors as we devastated the humans. the thunder warriors would killed entire squads before being dragged down the incident was covered up we killed the world left no survivors for the imperial army to recapture we destroyed them but in so doing we lost entire squads for one warrior
if memory serves it wasn't even the Emporer who made the Astartes, Big E just made the Custodes, it was Amar Astarte who made the first of the Astartes.
Who is the real monster? The chaos gods or the emperor? Kinda feels like i would rather have the enemy in know will betray me versus the one that is going to hide his in the shadows. Horus betrayal is at its end only a reflection of the ability to betray allies and friends that exists in the emperor.
I really hate how the Emperor treated his Thunder Warriors, all he had to do if he wanted them gone is to send them against the Orkz. They all would have died in honor, and Astarties could have to clear the planet up.
The last of the thunder warriors was slain at what is now know as the cerberus incident a prison world rose up they sent the 12th who was warhounds we found thunder warriors leading the humans we devastated them but the thunder warriors we lost entire squads simply to drag them down and kill them we left a dead world shocking the imperials in space when they asked how many prisoner only to here the 12th never received orders to take prisoners
I wished they made the primaris marines by combining space marines with thunder warriors. Gaining there strengths but losing some stability and longevity.
One can only imagine how many 'tools' The Master Of Mankind has 'Retired' in all of those long long years.
I can and have rewatched this vid any time and on repeat.
Oh yeah, 4:20Am and I've got school, let's go
All the old things
soaring spires or angel wings
echoes fade, no heart sings
all the cold things
All the old things
pointless pride or fear stings
forgotten after everything
all the bold things
All the old things
golden thrones and cruel kings
to burning church my soul clings
all the sold things
never ours to hold things

Both Oculus Imperia and Luetin09 have great stories on the unification wars and the Thunder Warriors. I would watch them as well.
Father, why?
Drives me to tears every time.

That's new bullshit lore which I reject
@@steelbear2063 why?
I don't see anything wrong with Big E not being the guy who made the Astartes.
