@callmecandid1 Lolol, not seriously 🤭 just sad in the sense that TV isn't as *fun* anymore, y'know! There's none of that whimsy, like you were talking about, in television anymore. By course correcting to being more inclusive, socially & politically aware (all of which was absolutely necessary), they forgot how to give us good old-fashioned, not nutrient rich, junk food-y, empty calory (*good*) storytelling. Got me missing the good ol' days... (*nostalgic sigh*)

@@_JESSOK all I ever do in life is wonder why none of these shows take place during university. So much of what they want works perfectly for that time in someone's life: coveted youth, freedom from proper authority/parental figures that *actually makes sense* (bc where the hell are these kids' parents & teachers with all the shenanigans?!), more easily accessible spaces teeming with all kinds of depravity (illicit substances, opportunities to h0e pretty easily), and (in my experience) class attendance wasn't always needed - lots of people scraped by on doing all-nighters using other people's notes & the prescribed material/textbooks.
