Thank you for giving Finneas the props he deserves. And for noticing how much the two of them together musically is untouchable. Love watching people discover Billie's music for the first time. You are definitely one of my favorites ive watched. I still can't comprehend how someone can be so amazingly talented and so self aware at such a young age. Its mind blowing fr
she wrote “listen before i go” based on when she was sitting in a hotel room and thought of jumping out the window because it was a high leveled room. she thought of her mom and gladly didn’t hurt herself. it’s so sad. she says she’s better now :)
did you know there's a transition on "bury a friend" to "ilomilo" and the last 3 songs on the album form a sentence "listen before i go, i love you, goodbye"
I feel like this album was a total flex on their part. A statement that these kids (Billie was 16-17 and Finneas was 20-21) are the real deal. Effing epic debut. Loved your take.
What you said at the end about no one else producing Billie- I just saw an interview where Finneas said he would never let another producer near her. “Mine!”
Loved watching you experience this for the first time on stream. Great music, great vibes. Album of 2019. Such a fresh and groundbreaking sound for the pop scene at the time. Billie and Finneas deserve all the accolades that came with this album. Super impressive especially for their age.
Thank you for actually listening to the music and picking apart the lyrics as you're streaming your reaction. I can't stand when people stream reactions to things but then talk over the music to their chat every 2 seconds. Love this channel!
The synth in “All The Good Girls Go To Hell” is pure west coast SoCal synth. I LOVED it 8, ilomilo, when the party’s over, and you should see me in a crown are my faves of the album. Ilomilo makes me get entranced and completely hypnotized. also oddly enough, my FAVORITE part of the album is her saying “put your lips on my skin and you might ignite it” in My Strange Addiction. The flow, the instrumental, everything about that part just gives me MAJOR vibes
Loved watching you experience Billie’s music for the first time. I wish I could get my memory about Billie erased just so I can relive the moment I discovered her.
This is probably my favorite album. I love it so much, that I got a record player just so I could get this on vinyl. It is my only vinyl and I’ve put it on once. “Listen before i go” is my favorite due to the emotional connection I feel with it. She is a goddess!
Finneas is a rad audio engineer. He makes some interesting choices in his mixes and I love it. For instance in bad guy, he used a freaking traffic crossing sound as the hi hat in the chorus. He also just knows how to create a massive-sounding mix.
This album is dope, glad third finally broke into it. 38 year old man that became a billie fan around 2 years ago when I heard you should see me in a crown then dove deeper into the catalog
I was a new dad in my 30s when this came out, working an office job at a community college and understanding less and less of what the younguns were up to every day. I listened to this album the first time like, "Okay, I'll take this medicine, it'll be good for me." Friggin loved every second of it.
For how blown away by the vocals, lyrics and production, you need to see Billies visuals to these tracks. She writes and stars in them and now she is directing all of them. Incredible talent all around!!
I personally think that they balance each other no one is better then the other, don’t get me wrong I’ve heard Finneas’s music and he’s fantastic and Billie sounds fantastic doing acoustic, I just think they compliment each other beautifully in her albums.
I like to view the last three songs as a short, sad story. Listen, before I go...I love you. Goodbye. Listen is her committing suicide, I love you is her remembering the incident that pushed her over the edge, and Goodbye is her life flashing before her eyes as she dies in the ambulance that comes at the end of Listen.
There’s a theory that most of this album was about XXXTentacion… she was really close with him and he passed the year before this album came out.. you can find multiple videos of her live concerts paying tribute to him
god I loved this album when it came out and I still do. it broke my heart dude so did one more light by linkin park and when Chester passed away it broke my heart.
Finneas was interviewed about some of the clips they use, and it’s so interesting! They’ve recorded dental drills (like, at their appointments lol) and clicks in a walk signal in Europe. FINNEAS IS A GENUIS
8 was wrote in the perspective of someone she hurt and it was originally called 7 and was the 7th song but she moved it up to 8 when moving around songs
Its crazy because the fast ticking in the back of bad guybis literally a samole they recorded stading next to a cross walk that counts down for blind people the whole tempo of the song is based off of that
You are the 🐐, Ernest. I watch so many reactors, but your the only one I watch whether or not I care about the artist bc you’re so fun to watch. Either deep, technical or hilarious, you’re never not at least one of them, and you’re usually all 3 at once. I’m always just like 👁👄👁 between your videos and I don’t even listen to rap 😂
She wrote listen before I go because she was really feeling it, and in a documentary of hers, her mother asks her: "Do you really want to write a song that says you jump off the roof?" And she responds: "Better said than done."
Yes!! Bury a Friend is the best song. As much as there are other songs that I love and listen to more, bury a friend is still the best song. I think in terms of my FAVOURITE Billie songs, bury a friend is in my top ten songs, but in terms of her BEST songs, bury a friend is number one.
First off Echos of Silence is one of my favorite Weeknd songs Ever! Second it's killing me u haven't watched half of the videos from this album. When The Party's Over, Bury A Friend , and You Should See Me In A Crown r masterpiece videos!
Because she compares everything to The Weeknd. At least she played a lot with melodies and sounds, sounds that are homemade and ideas that came out very strange. An album that was made during a mini tour and her house. While The Weeknd did everything with beats already made :)
So weird association time: whenever I listen to this album, it makes me wanna play Sekiro. The reasoning? I listened to it on repeat as I played originally. So it's just an association I have.
Loved loved this reaction. I'm not a fan of Weekday at all because the wailing, but I can see your passion ,so finding something to make a comparison to is important. But generally loved it either way, I don't know why I even mentioned it, I'm sorry. Ugh. I wanted to say that I appreciate you doing Billie Eilish. Hugs from Sweden.
Finneas might be this generation's equivalent to Dr. Dre. Way ahead of his time. And he's so great at throwing in random sounds into his production. The Australian stop light noise in Bad Guy, the diner in Xanny, the knife sharpening sound in See Me In A Crown, the dentist drill in Bury A Friend, the dog growl in I Didn't Change My Number.. Also, the way he flipped the Scarn Dance song from The Office is incredible.
im annoyed im not watching live cuz when you got to when the party’s over i could see your vibes going down but i wanted to tell ya you gotta go with hard and soft billie lol its ALL GOOD
Wish I could experience billies music for the first time again. You’re a lucky man Ernest
FR 💀
Yes, that would be awesome. That was one of the best times of my life.
Her energy is absolutely addictive.
exactly as time goes on i realise how this album changed my life and cry thinking about it
Thank you for giving Finneas the props he deserves. And for noticing how much the two of them together musically is untouchable. Love watching people discover Billie's music for the first time. How old are you, if you don’t mind me asking? :)
42
3:07 the face you make when you realize you've been sleeping for 2 years. you know it's special when Ernest gets up out of his chair😂😂
she wrote “listen before i go” based on when she was sitting in a hotel room and thought of jumping out the window because it was a high leveled room. she thought of her mom and gladly didn’t hurt herself. it’s so sad. she says she’s better now :)
Yeah she said in an interview, she was standing at the balcony sobbing knowing that would be the way she would die.
did you know there's a transition on "bury a friend" to "ilomilo" and the last 3 songs on the album form a sentence "listen before i go, i love you, goodbye"
I feel like this album was a total flex on their part. A statement that these kids (Billie was 16-17 and Finneas was 20-21) are the real deal. Effing epic debut. Loved your take.
Billie been fire since she came up
fr tho

when she sang i love you live and started crying over x...i cry every time i hear this song now.
I’ve been waiting for this one!
Ayyy been waitin on this one
I was a new dad in my 30s when this came out, working an office job at a community college and understanding less and less of what the younguns were up to every day. I listened to this album the first time like, "Okay, I'll take this medicine, it'll be good for me." Friggin loved every second of it.
love this one! you should definitely watch the music videos for 'when the party’s over' & 'you should see me in a crown', they’re dooooope🥰
Definitely; the Rhythmic skittering sounds in You Should See me in a Crown, reminds me of spiders!! TE would love her artistic video imagery.
For how blown away by the vocals, lyrics and production, you need to see Billies visuals to these tracks. She writes and stars in them and now she is directing all of them. Incredible talent all around!!
Honestly I do agree you are the goat at breaking down lyrics because you introduce an entirely new perspective on how to view the song itself
I personally think that they balance each other no one is better then the other, don’t get me wrong I’ve heard Finneas’s music and he’s fantastic and Billie sounds fantastic doing acoustic, I just think they compliment each other beautifully in her albums.

Also comments were saying to listen to Lovely ft khalid, its so haunting and soothing and billies voice is heaven
And now her latest album is a completely different vibe. Growth. All about growth. I’m a 44 year old dude and I can’t wait to see her live in February
44 year old woman here wishing I was going to see her live 😂 That's rad! Enjoy!
There’s a theory that most of this album was about XXXTentacion… she was really close with him and he passed the year before this album came out.. you can find multiple videos of her live concerts paying tribute to him
Dude, I LIVE for your reactions. I absolutely love your point of view. You're awesome
god I loved this album when it came out and I still do. it broke my heart dude so did one more light by linkin park and when Chester passed away it broke my heart.
You gotta check out the live performance of "i love you" that she did with finneas live at the greek theatre! goosebumps!
Oooh. I've been waiting for this..
Finneas was interviewed about some of the clips they use, and it’s so interesting! They’ve recorded dental drills (like, at their appointments lol) and clicks in a walk signal in Europe. FINNEAS IS A GENUIS
Amazing album! Keep it up man
Really is a beautiful masterpiece amazing reaction thanku so much lovely love an God bless x
Thanks for posting this! I’ve been harassing your comment section for it lol
Now ya gotta listen to FINNEAS. His personal music is fire too 🔥
I’ve been so excited for this one - if you enjoy Finneas’ production you should definitely check out some of his solo music.
Some of the things Finneas uses as samples too… the man is on crack while producing stg… what a legend
I'm so stupid excited for this!!!!
I also love that in xanny for the chorus it's distorted until she says "xanny" like your brain recognizes that word even intoxicated
Also Billie produced the end of bad guy (with Finneas’ help ofc)
now you need to watch the music videos, and live performances of the rest, you will be amazed
“I wasn’t ready for the 13 reasons why soundtrack rn” 💀
“I feel like I’m running through Dracula’s mansion trying to escape” 💀
She did say 8 in wish you were gay she just did some word play on it. She said : i ate (eight) alone at 7 you were 6 minutes away.
She also has 2 songs on 13 reasons, (bored, and lovely)
Lessgooo more videos 💥💥
Ernest constantly: this reminds me of the weeknd
That's such a huge, and deserved, compliment.
8 was wrote in the perspective of someone she hurt and it was originally called 7 and was the 7th song but she moved it up to 8 when moving around songs
Its crazy because the fast ticking in the back of bad guybis literally a samole they recorded stading next to a cross walk that counts down for blind people the whole tempo of the song is based off of that
13 reason’s reference goes hard because she actually made a song for the show
Omg I am falling out of my chair with laughter 🤣🤣🤣
You are the 🐐, Ernest. I watch so many reactors, but your the only one I watch whether or not I care about the artist bc you’re so fun to watch. Either deep, technical or hilarious, you’re never not at least one of them, and you’re usually all 3 at once. I’m always just like 👁👄👁 between your videos and I don’t even listen to rap 😂
Masterpiece is right! Stunning album 🔥
If you haven't already, please watch all the videos on this album!
This entire album is a 10 for me. No doubt about it. And I’m picky af
She wrote listen before I go because she was really feeling it, and in a documentary of hers, her mother asks her: "Do you really want to write a song that says you jump off the roof?"
And she responds: "Better said than done."
You should watch the "You Should See Me in a Crown" video. Well, unless spiders creep you out!
#Thethirdernest the song "ilomilo" gives me "Moth to a Flame" from The Weeknd vibes. Both songs have about the same rhythm.
Want you to see Bury a Friend video. It’s crazy
This album is brilliantly good
Masterpiece 🔥
Yes!! Bury a Friend is the best song. As much as there are other songs that I love and listen to more, bury a friend is still the best song. I think in terms of my FAVOURITE Billie songs, bury a friend is in my top ten songs, but in terms of her BEST songs, bury a friend is number one.
This is my favorite album 🤩🤩💟💟
Finneas yes has signatures that you mentioned, but the biggest one is his use of silence
Ernest you are the GOAT of music reviews my guy
First off Echos of Silence is one of my favorite Weeknd songs Ever! Second it's killing me u haven't watched half of the videos from this album. When The Party's Over, Bury A Friend , and You Should See Me In A Crown r masterpiece videos!
I've been waiting for this! Hahaha your reactions are the best man
Because she compares everything to The Weeknd. At least she played a lot with melodies and sounds, sounds that are homemade and ideas that came out very strange. An album that was made during a mini tour and her house. While The Weeknd did everything with beats already made :)
22:26 um she did say “ate” that was the play on word for “8”
best albums of all time idc
great, i didnt get to finish the stream
That pillow talking breakdown after xanny had me lmao
So weird association time: whenever I listen to this album, it makes me wanna play Sekiro. The reasoning? I listened to it on repeat as I played originally. So it's just an association I have.
Ye make sense need to try that game heard it’s fun and hard
So in other words we need that Billie Eilish and The Weeknd collab asap! That shit would be straight 🔥🔥🔥!
All the good girls go to hell is my favorite song and also my favorite song from hers. It's just so perfect for me
FINALLY!!! 🤩🤩
I really hope to get to watch the music videos for Xanny and Bury a Friend, they are my addictions XD
That's why Finneass won 6 grammy and Billie won 5
I enjoyed this reaction...
This is a great theme song for Nightmare in Elm St
Billie unfortunately does get excessively hyped and over played but somehow the impact of her songs never lessens (for me)
Finneas might be this generation's equivalent to Dr.
Welcome to the party! Happier than ever next??
YOU SHOULD REACT TO FINNEAS MANNNN
I wrote it 5 months ago why have u not reacted to all her videos??? Her videos r on another level
Ukele plays “ is this Tyler Joseph?!” 💀
Have you done any of billies videos from this album? Those are ones that are dark and amazing!
Even watching Ernest eat is entertaining
Listening to you should see me in a crown : "These lyrics are dark"
Me : lol you haven't listened to bury a friend 😃😛
You checking the videos for this album next?
Ernest ain't no way I just watched an add of you reacting to a Mr.beast honey add
im annoyed im not watching live cuz when you got to when the party’s over i could see your vibes going down but i wanted to tell ya you gotta go with hard and soft billie lol its ALL GOOD
She didnt skip the 8 in WYWG, she said i 'ate' alone at 7. I 8 alone
check the singles as Bored , Lovely , six feet under , everything i wanted ...
She kinda got a new/oldskool Gwen Stefani flavor to her voice
Bad guy give me Waverly of wizard place vibes love it
Bury a friend is 10
Mannnn I have done pole routines to several of these songs…
Hybrid Theory album review when?
