Let me just say that Billie produced the outro of "bad guy" by herself in her bedroom and that was the first part of the song that they had, so they started making this song after Billie made the last part of it.
As a Billie fan since ocean eyes, when this album came out it was so cathartic to me. I always thought Billie was going to be a superstar and to have a debut album like this was world-changing. “Listen Before I Go” and “Goodbye” feel like a moment in time that I can look back and see how different things are.
This album came out a little before my friend passed away. When I tell you to last three songs made me finally allow myself to absolutely break down and face reality. For that reason alone, Billie will have a special place in my heart
Her music is multidimensional. I can listen to it while I beg the sky to take me home, and I can listen to it on a random Tuesday while I’m in a great mood. The way she comprises everything is incredible
This album came out when I was studying away from home and I missed home so much. I remember listening to this album from the rooftop of my dorm, looking at city lights and just... sobbing. It was ✨an experience✨

I really love your reaction to Listen Before I go....it's....I don't even know man. I am glad she wrote that song instead of really doing it. I remember my "so many years" of being suicidal and hoping that one day I would be brave enough to end my life but god, I'm here. Billie's music helped a lot when it comes to surviving.
ok but when you think about it, 8 is perfect for the themes of the album. you get so used to the dark sounds from the beginning that hearing more light and carefree instrumentation is jarring. when you're in a dark place, it's so hard to get out of it that anything that feels positive throws you off. it makes you wonder when the shoe is going to drop. darkness becomes comfortable if you've spent enough time in it, like how light hurts your eyes after enough time without it. 8 is a great representation of that feeling in my opinion
This album will always have a soft spot in my heart, I actually listened to this song when I was on my way to my Brother’s funeral. “Listen before I go” especially hit me really hard during that time. It’s been 4 years and I’m still not fully healed.

Listen before i go actually got me out of a really dark place in my life. I was able to live out and perceive such an ending without actually going through with it myself. It genuinely was a part of what saved me.
Apparently Xanny is supposed to be about the discomfort of being at a party with drugs you don't do/aren't comfortable with but don't want the social suicide of leaving and not understanding why they like them or why you don't and that's why it gets so discordant in the chorus to put the discomfort into sound
i was in sith grade when this album came out and i would listen to it all day every day. it was my first ever favorite album and then saw her in concert two months later. wish you were gay was my top song on spotify for like three years straight. it changed me as a person fs.
Gosh i listen to this album all the time. It's the most beautiful beautiful set of songs. The musical aspect of it but the story she's telling as well. Espacially the last ones where she is saying 'listen before i go', 'i love you' and then 'goodbye'. That's so clever. It's her painting the picture of juping of a roof, then her saying i love you and telling us there is nothing we can do and lastly 'goodbye' where its almost a representation of her falling and her looking back on her life while she is falling. Because she is taking lyrics of all the songs in the backwards order so it's kind of like her life is flashing by. It's just a gorgeous album full of emotions. I love it with all my heart and im so glad you listend to it because its just a piece of art
Hey I really would love to see your opinions on the Melanie Martinez album trilogy. Her production is always really interesting in my opinion and I think you’d have a great time vibing out to her especially her most recent album portals. The order is Cry Baby, K-12, then portals and it tells a story of her character “Cry Baby” through their life in the first two albums and in the third it focuses on her death and reincarnation. Also all of the songs in portals transition into one another including the last and first track. Keep these albums in your mind if you want something a little different and darker. Love you’re content btw I put on your old videos while I crochet lol 😂❤

it´s 2023 and this album still gets me goosebumps EVERY time that i listen to it
YES
I DONT THINK IVE EVER BEEN SO EXCITED FOR A BILLIE REACTION FROM TROY BEFORE
troy talking about „my strange addiction“ asking where the office song is at is the most hilarious thing😭
Oh my god troy this album has DEVOURED MY SOUL i kid you not
Rewatching all your Billie Eilish reactions in honor of be3, soon to be announced, and praying we get an album reaction soon as it’s out😎
jeez there are so many little notes inside her songs that are worth it of knowing...its amazing
i love how his reactions to billie are genuine and he actually talks, when I first started watching him listen to her, I thought he was gonna be annoying and like correct her every five seconds, but no, I love billie and you, thank you so much for having a genuine reaction, I just subbed thanks!
The album that United Boomers, millennials and Gen Z for the first time and we all cried together.
And Gen X
We need more like it!
Troy! I’m so glad you’re finally listening to this album! It’s incredible and Ik It’s a freaking sad album but it SLAPS and it still holds up in 2023.
You caught me off guard with this one Troy!
One of the greatest albums ever! Hands down!
Highest praise HTHAZE can give to an artist is when he cries during one of their songs ❤

Thank you so much! :D
Watching you throw it back to Billie resonates with me
this album was intended to be listened to before you fall asleep in the dark, with both headphones in, and at 25% volume,, with your eyes closed and mind empty.
billies music is like if u could make a movie into music form. shes been my comfort artist for 7 years. her music just…AHHHHHHH
You have to listen to her debut EP it's incredible
Listen before i go actually got me out of a really dark place in my life. I was able to live out and perceive such an ending without actually going through with it myself. It genuinely was a part of what saved me.
All these songs go even harder live, i have not recovered from the tour last year
Ilomilo deserves more attention. It will forever be one of my favorite songs.
Apparently Xanny is supposed to be about the discomfort of being at a party with drugs you don't do/aren't comfortable with but don't want the social suicide of leaving and not understanding why they like them or why you don't and that's why it gets so discordant in the chorus to put the discomfort into sound
"wish you were gay" is hands down best song in the album AND best song of all time. Nothing can change my mind.
this is her best album. i wish i could listen to this album for the first time again
My favorite part of 8 is
I know you're not sorry
Why should you be?
'Cause who am I to be in love
When your love never is for me?
Me.
This has made me re listen to the whole album again
8 is such a sad song though😭 I love how that one is the “break” from the other sad songs lol
I love his genuine reactions so much ahaha and those lil dances!? Can resonate a hundred percent 🥹
Wonder if the strange addiction line "Bite my glass" refers to her actually biting a glass during a tic which she mentions in her bio pic
One day I'll manifest you doing a manic or if I can't have love, I want power, or any crumbs of you reacting to halsey's lyricism lmao
Reac to the music videos of xanny, you should see me in a crown, when the party’s over and bury a friend they’re amazing!
personally this is my fav album from her, i loved her album Happier Than Ever but wwafawdwg will always have a special place in my heart🙏❤
i was in sith grade when this album came out and i would listen to it all day every day. it was my first ever favorite album and then saw her in concert two months later. wish you were gay was my top song on spotify for like three years straight. it changed me as a person fs.
“listen before i go, i love you, goodbye” UGHHHHHH OMGGG
Honestly if he ever listened to Rina Sawayama’s albums I would die. His energy is chefs kiss
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SINCE I STARTED WATCHING U
when the partys over always makes me cry since the concert. songs fucking devastating
