And that is exactly why you don’t drive in floodwaters 🤦‍♀️ She’s so lucky she got out of that ok. As an emergency medical dispatcher, I’ve been on the phone with someone trapped in chest deep floodwaters, standing on the side of their submerged Ute, which fortunately came to rest against a fence. It took us over two hours to get to her & a fire truck drowned about 15 mins away from her location in the process. We had to get hold of a huge mine vehicle to get the rescue crew & Paramedic in to her. Thank goodness the mine was willing to help & they all survived with nothing more than fatigue & a mild case of hypothermia

Every single day I leave my neighborhood and have to hit the brakes to avoid someone making an unprotected left into my driver door, without a turn signal, and without the right of way. Every day I watch them absolutely demolish the rules of a four way stop. Two or three times a week, they drive in oncoming traffic if their lane is stuck waiting for a train crossing, and block up the entire road. Every night, they pull onto the shoulder to make right turns on red, ignoring that people are ALSO trying to make right turns on red at the light, from the lane, like they're supposed to. They follow each other nose to tail while they're on their phones, and of course they get mad at YOU when THEY break the law. They are menaces.

We need more context. WTH would she do that? How did she get to that part of the lot? How long was she there? Where was she going to coming from? Does this place flood often? If so, why doesn’t she know this or even the safety rules? Who are are parents, teachers friends or family. Just why? And wtf?!

My brother was telling me about roads in TX that give warnings that the city will not be responsible for any damages that occur. And they look pretty benign until you get to something chaotic. Then there’s no going back.

Most millinials and teens don't have any experiance with the dangers of natural disasters. In 1988 I was caught in the Albuquerque flash floods that 7 inches if hail ahd rain cane down in 45 minutes. A young girl crossed over from one side of a neighborhood to the other. She crossed through a aroya.. the water pressure was to much for the dar to resist and it pushed her car up to the guard Rail. She was pinned could not move the car. The racing flow rate was increasing and the guard rail snapped. Her car was now floating at 15 mph . She was screaming for help. People who lived along side the aroya tossed ropes to her but did not help. After the storm stopped, the car was found with sand up to its roof line. Her body was found a Nike away in some bushes.
