Thanks for posting, I've also had the dreaded 'bong' and have a foxwell that's has identified A690 microswitch rear end module closed left. I've ordered a replacement and will have a go at replacing when the weather is good. I have also read your detailed post on z4 forum. This is also very helpful. And my issue is exactly that same as you describe "roof opens , folds into the boot successfully but the windows fail to raise and the boot won't open or the roof closes and leaves the rear window cam shell on top of the roof and the windows fail to raise." I have managed to get it all closed up by clearing the fault code but when driving with roof up it thinks it's not shut and I can hear the motor in the back trying to close. Sometimes it stops bonging and all is well. Let's hope replacing the microswitch will resolve it!
my roof is closed and locked, but does not open, you press the button, windows come down but noting else happens, any guess as to which one is the culprit??
Great video. I've got a 'roof not latched' warning issue. Do you think this will be a faulty hall sensor on the RHS of the boot? Would appreciate your thoughts.
No idea of anyone is still looking at this, but I have A699 "Hall sensor rear end module almost closed not detected", or it could mean "convertible top plug pulled". Any ideas?
Hi, for error A694 do you know which sensor this is? The roof moves partially but wont full open or fully close. Red light always blinking and keeps bonging while driving
Great video! Here is one I did on replacing the trunk closed microswitch you referenced around 1:07. Hopefully it will help someone. Very easy fix. ua-cam.com/video/qcwZC1uah_o/v-deo.html

Lol. More like hell sensors. BMW charged me $300 diagnostic fee to tell me it’s an $800 relay that can only be ordered from Germany.
