Just discovered Guitar Pilgrim. Love your enthusiasm - love how you get down to business - love the combination of tab with your playing, and love how you put it all together at the end with guitar, singing, words, and notation. No one else does it like this. Thank you so much!
I just started playing about 6 months ago, after putting the guitar down 45 years ago...I've watched numerous guitar teachers on youtube (which of course wasn't around when I was young), and Guitar Pilgrim: you are simply the best teacher, calm and relaxed, you explain things very well without going on and on, you're a great guitar player and the way you set your lesson plan is the best I've seen. I'll be checking your other tutorials. Thanks for doing what you do. Cheers from Canada!
Really, really enjoy the way in which you teach songs. Your method of showing and walking through the progressions is very efficient and quick. Great work and really appreciate the effort you go through for each of your videos. Thank You
You're the best teacher I have ever seen and I have been teaching guitar for 40 years! AMAZING, CLEAR, EASY to FOLLOW, ACCURATE! Best of the Best you are mate!
Thank you GP, been trying to learn to play this song for a while, and appreciate ending the video with full rendition along with displaying the above to follow along. Helped a lot! Well-done.
Holy Cow! Best instructions of a song ever.. you didn't try to teach me what a hammer on was, or a chord just taught me the song... Beautiful man I love it. Thank you so much!!!
Your guitar sounds awesome I love listening to it. You are like the Guru of Guitar. You seem to hear and then play all the little nuances that are so important for things to sound right. I hope you never stop teaching on UA-cam.
I have been watching your videos for months now and never went back to see your older vids, I never realized you do amazing tutorials!!!! I really hope you do tutorials again because yours are the best I have seen by far. Extremely comprehensive. Holy crap man bravo.
Hi there, its not so easy to learn but your a very good teacher and it makes fun to follow you even in the age of 69.Keep going and greatings from Germany.
That's a beautiful song, and much more challenging to play then either NY or you make it look. You have a great talent- thank you very much for sharing it!
@@GuitarPilgrim Right on. Thanks for the personal reply. When you are not teaching, I assume that you play. Do you ever get over here to the states to do gigs? I live in Boston with wife and son. You always have friends here if you want to set up play dates or just visit. You never know. Tuck it away!
Damn this was awesome! This song has so many intricacies and is very difficult for me to play. Your lesson is fantastic and I must say you guitar compliments the player very well!
That was an awesome video. I loved the way you explained the steps, chords and the play along at the end! I could probably learn more from your video's than any others I have viewed! Great job and thank you!
Absolutely Amazing. I love your personality, talent, and the way you explain how to play the songs where it's easy to catch on. thank you so much, i am so happy i found your site. O'd love to learn Lucinda Williams It's Gonna Rain would you please do a how to on this beautiful song? thank you.
ha, thank you brother! We have been living in Ireland for almost a year now, and I absolutely love Ireland!! We've been trying to rent a place in Dublin but the prices... are just insane! too bad, Dublin is such a nice city, isn't it?
@@GuitarPilgrim Dublin is a beautiful city indeed my man! There are many to explore in the country, and I hope you can find the place of your desire! Again, awesome video my man!
Such an awesome channel, you’re so easy to listen to, but you’re also incredibly talented and super helpful. The effort you put into your videos really shows! Hope you enjoy making these vids as much as I enjoy watching them!
Excellente vidéo, très bien expliquée, j’aime beaucoup ce que tu fais. Merci. Grâce à toi je m’améliore à la guitare. Continue comme cela. Un admirateur français.
This tutorial is better than most, if not all, it has the feel and the riffs I've been looking for. Got a whole new love for this song when I heard Neil and Jimmy Fallon do it (search for 2 Neil Youngs play old man). The guitar work by Neil Young ... wow, how do you come up with that stuff? This is one of those songs that appear easy, but really challenge you if you want to get anywhere near the standard of the original. Thanks for putting this up!
Awesome! My father sent me a link to your Rolling Stones-video and I've been watching a lot of since. Thoroughly enjoying your playing, tips and teaching.
Just joined patron. Sorry I can only pledge 5$ a month but your content is very straightforward and playing is just lovely. Can't wait to see where you go from 100k. Thanks for this tutorial
I love your singing voice... i am a huge critic and cringe at so much but I actually am jealous ... not to mention your guitar playing. It would be awesome if you did a whole group of Chris Cornell songs (which I have seen you do a cover of his) but maybe you could just do "seasons"... I'd also like you to sing the whole song or any of his whole songs because I like your voice so much.

Excellent. I’ve been playing this song for 20 years but very basic. You brought out the touches Neil has in this song. Thank you

Thanks for your kind comment, Caesaries ! I absolutely love making these videos, it really is a passion!
I've always found it too high for my voice but love the song, so a transposed, capo on 3rd, C and D... A Em G D, works really well.
Great stuff, more of this, please! I found the rhythm/beat-mute explanation particularly useful.
Beautiful Thom thanks again!🙏🏻
This is so awesome!! Thank you!!
Awesome lesson! Must learn this - thanks for taking the time to post this.
Your awesome!!!! You showing how to count the timing is very very helpful to a self taught by ear player who never learned timing.
Excellente vidéo, très bien expliquée, j’aime beaucoup ce que tu fais. Merci. Grâce à toi je m’améliore à la guitare. Continue comme cela. Un admirateur français.
