    I can honestly say you a lot braver than I am, I would be crying just pulling out the stitches in the first place. Love the confidence with which you did the whole thing . I just know I would be left with a pile of yarn I could never use again and a pool of tears 😅 . Show me more, oh wise one, I shall subscribe.

    What a clever idea. I had wondered if this was possible on an addi. I'd done it on round looms, but this is so much quicker and easier. Thanks, so much!

    🌺🌼🌻Thank you for your very clever braiding idea, using a knitting machine. I'm going to make a beanie, then braid evenly around the beanie. I think my daughter will really like it!

      Thank you Jean. I'm so glad you are going to give it a try & can't wait to see the results. I have faith in you, lol. The stitches next to the braid will look funny when first completed. Just give it a a gentle stretch once completed and the stitches will align themselves

    Thank you so much for this tutorial. I love the love the look of the braid stitch and would like to use it as a detail in a regular hat on the Addi King Size machine. Will it work on a cap and will it affect the size of the finished hat? I would love to discover how to make a cable detail in a cap, too, but have seen nothing in the Addi tutorials about how to do that. I would think it would have to be in short segments of knitting so that one would drop a stitch to make it a purl row, then reverse the two stitches on the Addi needles and then drop a stitch and make that into another purl row. It would be very tedious, but do you think it would work?

    • @LittlejohnsYarn
      @LittlejohnsYarn  6 років тому

      David Berg the drop stitch braids won't affect the size the Hat it'll work out perfectly. To do a cable Stitch, I'm not sure. I am horrible at knitting, LOL. Crochet has always been my heart. I would love to learn something like that also

      Thank so much for your speedy reply. I will let you know (I am a true beginner) how it comes out and if I can figure out the cable stitch idea.

    Okay I need to find out which side of mission do you use that you use the 22 or the 46 and how many rolls do you did before you decide to cast off to make the Bray could you please tell me thank you appreciate it and I think it's beautiful

  • @jennrobinson245

    I love this video. I do have a silly question. I'm making tubes and was wondering do I do a waste yarn cast on? I want to crochet both ends (not together if that makes sense). Thank you for all you do.

    • @LittlejohnsYarn
      @LittlejohnsYarn  5 років тому +1

      It makes perfect sense! If you are just making a regular tube wast yarn in both ends make crocheting easier

    • @jennrobinson245
      @jennrobinson245 5 років тому

      So I would put the waste yarn on and then do the every 3 rows drop? Sorry so many questions. Newbie here...lol

    how, if possible, does one do this on a flat panel? like if i were to try making a flat scarf, how do i "pick up three" without unravelling the whole thing when i go to release the work from the machine 😅

  • @cblalezari
    @cblalezari 2 роки тому

    I don’t understand how you dropped the stitches. What stitches are they?

  • @thisisyourbrainoncrafts9212
    @thisisyourbrainoncrafts9212 7 років тому +1

    Me again 🤗, so I made this three times today and each time I notice my crocheted braided stitches are very loose in the beginning and look tighter towards middle end. Do you have this problem with the beginning part where you twist the yarn and start crocheting?

    • @LittlejohnsYarn
      @LittlejohnsYarn  7 років тому

      This Is Your Brain On Crafts, questions, once u finish the entire braid is your last loop really long? U may be pulling the loops to taunt, which could lead to an inconsistency of stitch tension.

    Please do a video of making a ribbed hat - by skipping every third needle on the Addi King. I have seen posts of people saying to remove every third needle, but then someone else said, just skip them in the casting on. thanks.

    Ooohh love this!!! Can't wait to make 👍🙂. Do you remember how many rows you did for this headband?

    • @LittlejohnsYarn
      @LittlejohnsYarn  7 років тому +3

      I did 110 rows with Red Heart Soft yarn with Caron Simply Soft I only need 90 rows. All yarns gives different sizes. I would suggest measuring to size about 20-21 inches in length.

      Littlejohn's Yarn So if I wanted to do just one braid down the center of a headband I'm guessing I skip 3 stitches anywhere on the round when I'm binding off?
