    This cake is absolutely beautiful Mary! Watching you cut the excess buttercream from the marbled tier is sooo satisfying 😌😌😌 what tool did you use there? It looks like a metal ruler but does it have a sharp edge?

      I feel the same way watchers others do that too:) it is a clay cutting tool. You can find them at craft stores or on Amazon.

    Beautiful marble effect. Thank you for sharing. I am def going to try your technique for that.
    It would be good to show at least some parts of the smoothing at normal
    speed, so that newbies who don’t know square smoothing techniques can see what you’re describing. I’ve done square cakes, so I knew what you meant, but I would not have understood from watching.

      Unfortunately, this was a long one, and I had to get 6 hours of footage into 10 to 15 minutes:( Maybe I will add another class to my online academy covering this:)

    Hast du die Buttercreme auf Tortenrandfolie gestrichen und zuerst in den Gefrierschrank. Dann an die Torte und nochmals in den Gefrierschrank für 20 Min. ?
    Die Folie lässt sich sehr gut abziehen....... bei mir leider nicht.

      No, I put the buttercream on and then freeze. But I do it in 2 coats and freeze between for no more than 2o minutes. I hope that helps!
