Thanks Maven. Love that you embrace the “haters”. Just don’t give them too much power over you, because you’re a great dude. Thanks again for sharing your triumphs and tribulations with us. It’s nice to know that “super stars” are human too.
Thought this dude was cool as a kid during Tough Enough, was excited to see his career in the WWE blossom and rhen forgot about him when he didnt. Ive become a fan since i found this channel. Good on you bro, glad to see you doing well.
I'm gonna be honest. I was never a huge fan of you growing up as a kid but this channel, your content and the way you handle and talk about situations and learning to know you as a person has made me a huge fan. I think you're awesome and going back and watching your matches now makes me appreciate them even more. Thanks for the content and being you Maven.
Same here to be honest. I actually didn't even realize he was there till 2005 because I don't think I paid attention to his post-2002/2003 matches at all. The only thing I remembered of him was his theme and his dropkick, but seeing his interviews with CVV and his UA-cam channel, I see a very charismatic and positive person. Too bad we didn't get to see his work on the mic, but I think he gained experience in that field during his work with HSN.
One of the things that I think makes Maven so cool is that he comes off as so genuine and authentic and he always takes personal responsibility and, as we see here, he can laugh at him himself and be chill.
You've definitely grown on me. Love your openness and giving insight into the business. You also acknowledge your faults which is admirable. Well done to you
I was never a fan of Maven but I respect the ability and role played as “mid carder” . Congrats on career and keep making haters be seen for the jealous turds that they are.
Maven: *has a deep voice and is bald and tan* Trolls: "Stop being The Rock! Damn you for your natural attributes." I never got the vibe you were imitating him in your videos.
This literally my favorite wrestling channel right now. Maven seems like a chill down to earth guy making highly entertaining videos for all wrestling fans.
Agreed, I haven’t watched WWE in years but still like to keep up with stories and rumours, and Maven is probably the most honest and open ex wrestler on UA-cam.
Maven, I grew up in Charlotte, NC and lived down the street from Rick Flair and Blackjack Mulligan (80’s). I went to school with the sons of some of the wrestlers, some of whom wrestled as well (Anderson). But, during your era, I was not really watching wrestling all that much, so I only know you through your UA-cam channel. But I must say, I really enjoy watching your videos as they are so informative and fun to watch. You’re an excellent & clear speaker, and I have nothing but respect for what you accomplished and the stories you have to tell. I almost find them more interesting (or at least as much) as the actual matches! I think you deliver the information from your perspective in a very respectful manner. It’s fun to hear the back stories. It’s crazy that there would be any haters. Those haters can only wish they had even a fraction of your career, and likely couldn’t hold a candle to you. Your responses to their stupid criticism were done with class! Thanks Maven!
7:25 "I want information in life, not affirmation" Wow! Couldn't agree more! Lovely little bombs of knowledge throughout this video (like all the other videos). Thank you Maven for making these videos :)
I don't see what anyone could hate about you or this channel man. Great entertainment, great stories and ALWAYS showing respect. You got a great thing going here!
People dissing a man who grafted and is informative and entertaining. The Mave has more Charisma in his little finger than all the trolls will ever have! Loving the channel my friend. 💪💪

Thanks for the info and thanks for always being a decent, polite, honest and yet still, absolutely captivating dudes out there. I appreciate what a decent human being you are. Thanks for this and all the other videos!
I can’t believe that every single person watching Maven’s channel isn’t stoked to hear some of what he has to say about the business coming from someone who was actually in the business. I honestly want to thank Maven cause what he’s doing here is really dope! Keep the great content comin man cause we want to hear more! Road stories, ribs u saw or were apart of, best and worst workers in the ring that u wrestled, backstage fights (physical or verbal) u saw or were apart of, react to the biggest match of your career, react to other matches, fan encounters u had whether good or bad, what was the backstage environment like when u were there, relationships that happen between wrestlers and what is it like backstage when a breakup happens between 2 wrestlers, what did you used to have to do to prepare for an in ring or backstage promo segment, did they give u a script or just some bullet points to hit or how did that go. All that stuff is info we all wanna hear
7:24 "I want information, not affirmation." Wow, that was extremely simple yet powerful. I'm going to leave my own thoughts here. When I first saw your channel, I thought, "Who is this guy?" I was really into WWE when I was a kid (back when I believed it was real) and that was during the Ruthless Aggression Era (2002 to 2008). I even used to play the WWE games on the PlayStation 2. I still love Hell in a Cell & TLC matches and chair shots to the head, Bra & Panties matches etc all that back when WWE wasn't afraid to do what it wanted and to hell with everything else. I knew most of the less famous wrestlers, but I had never even heard of or seen you. When I decided to watch some of your matches, I would say you were, in fact, mediocre (sorry, but there's no nice way to say it). But then I started watching more of your videos, and that really changed me. Listening to how fondly you talk about the WWE, how you don't have any bitterness or hatred either towards the company or any other wrestler, how you always appreciate and talk kindly about them without trashing them, how you break down everything in such an easy way to understand really makes us feel like we were actually there. Even now, reading all the nasty comments, you aren't lashing out or making snide insults. You're actually being calm and fair and accepting responsibility and giving credit where it's due. That shows class. Anyone can easily tell that you're a really sweet guy and must have been an amazing teacher back in the day. You may not have been the biggest superstar, but your UA-cam channel really seems to be kicking off, and you definitely have the charm to be on someone's podcast (or even start your own) or be a commentator. Keep shining, Maven 🌟
I’m impressed that you find time to make videos in between looking after the Minions. In all seriousness, love what you do and appreciate your honesty and positivity. What a life you’ve had so far. Looking forward to the next video 👍
You're right.. we could be absolute polar opposites when it comes to politics, religion and social issues BUT.. the difference is that we understand that keeping ourselves in our own bubble and never allowing ourselves to open up to topics and opinions we otherwise wouldnt hear is how we stop growing as people. You exude complete honesty in your work Maven and don’t have a single egocentric trait about you when it comes to how you deliver your content. You shared that you deeply believe you under achieved and didn’t fulfil your potential in wrestling and went into detail about your arrest and struggles with addiction, which takes a lot of courage and openness to do so. That’s rare going when you were working in a naturally high competitive and physical industry, which was more ego driven then. Keep up the amazing work dude! It’s refreshing and engaging to see the angle you’ve approached with your production, rather than just jumping on the podcast bandwagon. Marks will be marks and I’m glad you see them as the minority.
I appreciate watching these videos from Maven. It’s always cool to see a person that’s being real about his life, sharing his ups and downs. Obviously he’s a superstar in his own right. Glad you are who you are!
As a UA-camr myself, this just comes with the territory bro. Miserable people are always looking to tear down others to feel better about themselves. It's very visible as the comments are always unrelated personal attacks like these. Keep doing your thing man!

6:31 I absolutely LOVE what you said here. I used to be very left leaning, it seemed like I was in a utopia over there, we supported freedom of speech, we supported people being open minded, then all of a sudden things changed, you could no longer criticize things like islam, humor was banned, if you didn't toe the line and say the "correct" opinions you were kicked from any groups you were in. It was at that point for the first time in my life I started to go into conservative or right leaning spaces, I was accepted, they supported free speech and open mindedness, it was okay that I didn't agree with everything they believed, I wasn't kicked because of those differences instead we debated them, a lot of my opinions were changed because of that. I discovered I was previously in an echo chamber, with no chance of even hearing the other side, all the other sides arguments were said by people in the chamber, so they were all strawmen, for example I thought conservatives hated gay people and when I entered their spaces I was shocked to find out they didn't. Having said that, I knew I didn't belong there. I was just there because I was welcomed there, I wasn't right wing or conservative. Since then I've done those little "where are you on the political scale" tests and according to that I'm a centrist. Now, if I took that test before this happened I would have been pretty far left, because that time I was having those debates so many of my opinions changed and I love that it happened. Now I think all my opinions are forged and can't be beaten, because I've debated them all many times over. (that doesn't mean they're set in stone, they can change the moment someone defeats them) and what you said here is my exact experience, it's an experience everyone should have. :)

God bless you Maven and your family !
❤
Gotta credit Maven for reading the comment section. Mass respect.
Dude! Just keep being you. Social media is just a way people can say things to try to tear people down and try to lift there miserable selves up.
Yeah…. SM scares me for what it’s doing to our kids. An entire generation cares more about appearances when they need to focus on something real!
I really enjoy watching your videos. You do seem to be a really honest guy. I really believe that you are trying to better yourself and seems like you have learned from your past experiences.
Screw the haters, man... your content has been top tier
You being this humble, really inspires me to shrug off the mundane shit in my life. Thanks for being a person I can look up to.
You're an inspiration, Maven.
Not just for wrestling, but the way you are so transparent about your past issues with drug abuse, the way you go about your business always looking for the positives in life. As someone who struggles with mental health I really appreciate it.
I won’t lie, i wasn’t the biggest fan of Maven while he was wrestling. However now that he’s been on UA-cam he’s made great quality content and I’m always excited to see what video he makes next! His behind the scenes info and opinions are always entertaining. Maven if you’re reading this keep up the good work man!
Why people wake up and choose to be mean and negative is something I don't understand or support. Life is short and Maven sharing his experiences is amazing. Thanks for all the insights on you and your life.
Your going to have hate no matter what. I like how maven reads the mean comments didn't get upset, instead he responds with logic.
It's far easier for those people to try and tear others down to their level instead of building themselves up.
It's very simple their bums and live miserable lives and wish they had a life like mavens
That political statement he said about being open to listening to both sides was beautiful. The world needs more people like maven.
Agreed.
People who based their views and beliefs solely on their political whatevers lead such empty, sad lives
Yeah, lol. You can't even agree with a leftie once?!? I don't agree with Oliver often, but I at least get where he's coming from most of the time. If something gets you that angry, then you should seriously consider expanding your media sources, because you're clearly eating way too much propaganda.
Listen to everyone.. and vote Trump 2024!
People weird, you could find the cure for cancer and someone would still manage to find a way to hate you for some reason (generally speaking)🤷🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️Thank you for being honest and genuine Maven 💯
Miserable people want everyone else to be miserable, too. That's really it.
@@DiamondDust132yes
I mean, ever since people criticised Mr beast for paying for blindness surgery to some people I'm not surprised anymore.
Thanks Maven. Love that you embrace the “haters”. Just don’t give them too much power over you, because you’re a great dude. Thanks again for sharing your triumphs and tribulations with us. It’s nice to know that “super stars” are human too.
At least you're doing it properly, taking them with a grain of salt, laughing at it and turning it into content for yourself
I feel the exact same go maven
Same here to be honest. I actually didn't even realize he was there till 2005 because I don't think I paid attention to his post-2002/2003 matches at all. The only thing I remembered of him was his theme and his dropkick, but seeing his interviews with CVV and his UA-cam channel, I see a very charismatic and positive person. Too bad we didn't get to see his work on the mic, but I think he gained experience in that field during his work with HSN.
This is great Maven! Love how you don’t let these ppl get to you , you got my respect brother!
One of the things that I think makes Maven so cool is that he comes off as so genuine and authentic and he always takes personal responsibility and, as we see here, he can laugh at him himself and be chill.
God Bless you Maven. Whatever you do, keep being open and genuine. We need more of this in the world brother.
You've definitely grown on me. Love your openness and giving insight into the business. You also acknowledge your faults which is admirable. Well done to you
Keep moving forward Maven, these people can’t claim to have lived the life you have
I was never a fan of Maven but I respect the ability and role played as “mid carder” . Congrats on career and keep making haters be seen for the jealous turds that they are.
I'm a bigger fan now than i was in the past. Maven keeps it real and is very humble. I'll definitely be watching the channel.
Man this dude is awesome. I remember watching him and his debut. Glad to see he is doing so well. Love it!
If people are trying to put you down, that just means you made it. Congrats!
Under certain circumstances though because this could go for those who are "famous", but legit assholes and they view us calling them as "hating".
Not The anime nerd bruh😂@@imoutoconnoisseur
Maven: *has a deep voice and is bald and tan*
Trolls: "Stop being The Rock! Damn you for your natural attributes."
I never got the vibe you were imitating him in your videos.
I wonder where the heck people got The Rock comparison from. In ring and even on UA-cam. This is just him he definitely seems like his own guy

You are a great human being, Maven! Ignore the haters and keep up the good work!!!
You should make a video reacting to positive comments! Its hard to believe people are hating on you when you always provide positve and honest content
You and the team are absolutely killing it mate! Keep up the content!
Maven, you made it. The haters are just jealous that they never got to experience what you did.
7:25 "I want information in life, not affirmation"
Wow! Couldn't agree more! Lovely little bombs of knowledge throughout this video (like all the other videos).
Thank you Maven for making these videos :)
Wise words of wisdom
Love this quote, went to the comments to see if anyone else had said it.
OMG! Reading in the “un-rock like way,” killed me. That was hilarious! 😂😂 then that stare at the end. 😂. Keep being you, Maven! Love the channel.
Maven is the type of teacher who would let you get an extra punch on the bully before breaking up the fight and I respect that.
Dude we love you. What a pleasant surprise to see you re emerging on UA-cam. We'd love to see you back in the biz doing commentary, you'd be great at it.
Maven; you are one of the most eloquent, decent, positive-spirted man of men I've seen.
Just casually giving Maven some million dollar ideas 🤣. Awesome

7:24 "I want information, not affirmation."
Wow, that was extremely simple yet powerful.
I'm going to leave my own thoughts here. When I first saw your channel, I thought, "Who is this guy?"
I was really into WWE when I was a kid (back when I believed it was real) and that was during the Ruthless Aggression Era (2002 to 2008).
Love you Maven, keep up the incredible work!
Like my buddy always said "the haters are the ones doing the most to push your channel". They may not like it or want it, but they're giving so much engagement to your channel it's hard to be mad at them 😅😅
Hi Maven, I’ve only recently discovered your channel & boy oh boy it’s definitely my favourite channel for wrestling insight and information.
The way you deliver your content is top drawer. You have an amazing energy & I could listen to you all day 👍🏽
Ignore the haters, there are plenty of people out there (me one of them) who love your persona & I would love to have a person like you as a friend in my life cause you sound like one of the most down to earth people on earth right now.
God bless you brother 🫡
I can honestly say that the internet has hit a new low. I don’t understand how anyone could be mean spirited and say such ridiculously stupid things to you Maven. You exude so much positivity and good vibes; the world definitely needs more people like you in it. Keep up the amazing videos and keep staying awesome. I always look forward to a new upload from you. Glad to see you doing well!
new low yea this is the new low yea this neew low was broken 30 years ago
It's really sad how many of the same fans go out of their way to defend Chris Benoit , a child murderer of his own son and wife but will criticize pro wrestlers like maven because he wasn't a "mega star"
This is why I don't blame the mainstream media for calling us crazy or delusional
>internet has hit a new low
Showing what people are really like isn't a "new" low. This is how people have always been. This is how people you talk to are. Anonimity means keyboard crusaders get to show their real selves without repercussion.
Forget the hater’s Maven! I’ve always seen you as a star who deserved more. You have an army standing with you man! 148,000 & counting. Solider on my friend!

“I want information in life, not affirmation.” What an incredible quote! I will keep that in mind going forward. Thanks Maven!!
Got mad love for you Maven. I was always rooting for you since day 1.
This channel is awesome! Thank you Maven for everything you've done in and out of the ring, keep up the great work mate!
I provide CRITICISM related to video content, not personal attacks, and the content creators still get triggered & cannot take criticism.
@@DanielMazahreh could be that your understanding of criticism is off. lots of people dish out hate and try to pass it off as anything but hate
these people have ego issues. they can't stand seeing people that are better off than they are, so they have to tear them down to get rid of the difference
@@asteria9963 Again, criticism is NOT hate. My comments are all over the place that provide criticism. YOU also don’t know what criticism is. I’ll provide a factual criticism for you: Terrorist USA is supporting terrorist Israel’s genocide of the innocent Palestinians. This is a factual and critical statement backed by historical evidence.
@@asteria9963 I only criticise people when they deserve it, sometimes they just can't take any criticism, especially when you tell them they are hipocrites and how they project guilt towards others while they're the ones guilty at the moment, and it doesn't go only for a YT creators but people in general, almost no one likes being pointed out when it comes to being wrong

How can anyone hate you, Maven? Like dude. You’re giving us the behind the scenes look into pro wrestling that we all assumed we already knew. And you just seem like a cool dude. Man, I’m glad you took the time to take a look at these comments and just joke about them rather than taking them to heart. It’s obvious who the real ones are here, and it’s not any of them.
