It seems like this is a common problem these days. I would use the remainder of paint to learn the process/product. Then just do it yourself. If it doesn't come out the best, it's ok. I'm sure you will build more cars in future, and have the skills to get results you stride for. Keep up the good work 👌
Sounds like a shitty situation but most of us car guys have been on similar situations in the past. If I was in your shoes I’d do what you wife said and tackle it myself. It might not come out flawless but at the end of the day you did it all yourself and you learned some new skills and definitely have more credit to your name for doing it yourself.

600 the whole thing and spray it again. Not sure how much you paid this painter but as bad as it is it could be worse. Hopefully the new painter can fix this for you!
You started with "I may have over reacted" and than proceeded to show the flaws....man, you under reacted. So sad to have people not take pride on their work
Best bet is just start over with all the paint back to primer stage ready for paint just buy a new gallon of paint and clear that way it would all be uniform and you don't have no hiccups at all trying to fix things that might end up messing it up more when they do try to fix it sorry this had happened to u remember time and labor and materials and could have been trophies that you could have won even under construction trophies instead of sitting at the painters place charge him for all that he the one that wasted all that stuff recommendations try to be more involved with the new painter as much as possible it'll be the only way be like that one pycho ex that wont leave till its done
Yo man. isn't it a lot cheaper if you buy a compressor, paint gun yourself... There are enough videos where they explain how everything works and the best setup.. I also started this year without experience and I have now almost sprayed my entire car and neat... just practice first and when you feel like it just do it.... Honestly for best result you need a good compressor 5hp minimum 80 gallon minimum so there is consecutive pressure. Which cost $800-1100 paint 1500-2k for materials. I don’t have the confidence to paint it especially for this car of it was just a random project car for my son then I wouldn’t mind but the vision I have for this car I don’t want that task quite yet. why is the paint so expensive in america... i paid maybe 500 euro in total for primer, base color and clear coat.. Of course i support you,, you are a Honda man, and i honestly hate it when people are not honest and rip people off.. that's why i said try to do it yourself so you have everything in your own hands and you also learn something from it... you should just see if Dana can do it i know he is out of the way but he does good work for doing it outside .

He has his own projects and to tow that car down that way is way to much money and it doesn’t fit on a trailer the way the casters are
