I trace the top of the mixing bowl, trim it down a little more so that the cardboard disk fits tight in the bowl and can be used to stack the next bowl on top. Because I have cats, I started putting stuff below the cardboard disk in case the bowls get knocked around, bunched up shipping paper works. For the divided casseroles or anything that doesn't stack well, I use bags of dollar store rice. I put them in a zip bag and weigh them so they are the same amount to keep it even. Works like a charm.
