  • This is my first scooter I have owned, and the Wolf King GT Pro literally changed the way I think about electric scooters. No longer are they slow and boring. Reaching top speeds of 70 mph, and a range of 70+ miles, does this scooter have what it takes to be the best scooter on the market?

    Interested to know more about running maintenance.....eg. tyre changes, brake pad replacements, software updates.
    Might be easy enough to DIY, but spare part sourcing??

      This is my first electric scooter so I am still new with the entire maintenance process. The Wolf King has several components that are plug and play, like the screen, brakes, Speed Controllers and lights. The battery itself unfortunately requires the rubber deck to peeled off which is held on by tape deck. The wheels are held on by bolt and basically require special tire removal tools and a few HEX Wrenches. Some users use cheater bars since the bolts are on pretty tight. I don’t thinking you would get a flat because several users tried to puncture the tires with nails and screws. As for other maintenance I think making sure the bolts are tight, the unit not exposed to damp conditions and battery is maintained around 30-70% for long term storage. Thanks for watching and if you have any questions I will do my best to answer them!!!

    You should keep your scooter in dual mode all the time unless you are far away from home and low on battery and range, this will ensure equal wear and tear on both motor and you won't put as much stress on the rear motor alone in single mode, just use your gear modes to adjust for speed and acceleration. Low settings for cruising sidewalks and paths and high settings for road riding and long range trips.

    • @RobotMasters

      Thanks for the tips, yeah I read something about burning up the rear motor. I kind of with the scooter would keep that last Speed Setting and motor configuration. Minor complaint, 12 Hr clock option👍

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  2 роки тому

      From what I have seen with other videos they average 30-40 miles depending on rider weight, terrain, and speed is probably the most important factor. At a average speed 15 mph with a rider of 160 lbs the manual claims 110 miles. Realistically expect 30-40 miles. Lastly having the scooter in single or dual mode will affect range. Me personally I leave it in single motor just because the type of terrain I do don’t require extra power or traction. Off roaring or going up steep hills I recommend putting in dual motor.

    What are your thoughts on this scooter now that you've spent more time with it? I've never owned one, but seriously considering this one, mostly for fun, going to the gym/store, etc. Seems like the best package for the money for something that's stable and has enough speed to use on 40-45 mph roads and trips. The weather will be getting cold here in New England shortly, so might hold off, but looks like it would be a lot of fun and I could recharge with solar to save at the pump.

    • @ssoffshore5111
      @ssoffshore5111 Рік тому +2

      BTW, best review I've seen regarding all the settings options, well done! Also, I've read someone suggested using dual motor mode with a lower setting on the front wheel to get better mileage, traction, and performance over the single motor mode. I think they suggested 60% for the front, but don't quote me.

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  Рік тому +3

      Well, the Wolf King would be more than enough to get around town. In my opinion it a bit overall. You could go with Kaabo Mantis that offers the 40 mph and decent range for 1400 less. The reason I say this is the Wolf King Large size and weight makes it a little cumbersome for around town usage. The scooter designed for off road trails and long distance commuting on roads. I personally found the smaller scooter more ideal for my needs. Of course the Wolf King is a impressive scooter if money no problem. Just keep in mind the size and weight.

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  Рік тому +1

      Thanks I know a lot of viewers didn’t watch the entire video, but thought showing the settings is important. Yes enabling dual motors is better since it gives more even wear and tear. Single mode range vs dual mode wasn’t much of a difference especially if you cruise around 20 mph.

    • @RobotMasters

      I used one of the cross bars on the scooter frame to attach the camera. It took a little finagling to get the Camera’s clamp to fit in between the plastic fender and frame. Once it was positioned correctly I was able to tighten down with the set screw. I believe I have the link to that specific rear view camera I used.
