- Our journey unfolds against the backdrop of a challenging weather forecast, with extreme cold warnings pushing our equipment and ourselves to the limit. Watch as we navigate the harsh conditions, highlighting the resilience of both the photographer and the gear.
But we made it to the mountain and saw the first musk ox with beautiful landscape and nature.
Our winter adenture started in a local forest photographing red squirrel in snow. An opertunity thats rear in my region.

Hi Trond...really nice trip for the musk oxen👍👍. We don't have o lot of snow in Slovakia this year, except the high altitude. So I enjoyed this frozen, snowy, white trip so much. I'm looking forward for the second part.

Cold weather is so cool but it's not so cool in my location right now, too warm to be called cool enough for winter. Too cold for spring though so we're in no season right now. Awesome squirrel shots!!!! And those oxen!!!! Wow!!! Great expedition!!!!

How close do you get to Musk. What is the actual image in the camera as taken before the crop. Great adventure, Kudos to you and Espen also and the others in group.
The safe and recommended distance is 200 meters. But sometimes you can slowly get closer if the animals is relaxed. Or if they decides to come to you.

You do go to the extreme Trond but the results are truly stunning 👌 the Red Squirrel images at the beginning put a smile on my face, so cute ❤️ The Musk Oxen were something else though…..special 👍

What trouser do you wear for these conditions?

Another fantastic outdoor experience, Trond. The lighting was perfect on the MO. Great saturation and tonal separation in the hair. And, they cooperated. Like you said, it doesn't get any better than that. You had some nice shots of the red squirrel, too. Light reflected from snow makes everything show up better.
