I'm outside with my z50 and sigma 150-600 it Starts raining Abit I'm hiding under the tree protect the gear cause I'm scared.... this man standing in the snowstorm equipment snow white and enjoying that he can get the shots in the white out i love it ❤❤❤
How many people on this planet would say ‘I love this weather’ in the middle of a snowstorm? There is only one Morten Hilmer! Thanks for this episode Morten, I was truly touched.
Nothing I love more than waking up to a still quiet house, drinking a cup of coffee and watching a new Morten video. Favorite photo is the Reindeer Silhouette in the wind storm...pure magic.
Oh Wow! Those pictures in the snowstorm are stunning! And the teaser for the next video has me wishing time would hurry up so I can see what made him change plans.
Loved the Ice Caves and am enjoying your Svalbard Videos. Thank you for sharing your journey looking forward to watching next weeks instalment with Jason Roberts
The pictures that you create are at a whole different level, but that's not the reason I watch your videos. Your an inspiration and we look up to you Morten. Love you.
Wonderful video again. I think I am falling in love with reindeer. They're so beautiful and have adorable faces. The photos with the dark blue background are amazing. Also loved the dogsledes. Still one of my dreams to do that someday. Looking forward to the next video.
I love your Svalbard videos. I was lucky enough to spend 5 weeks there a number of years ago during my PhD studies. We were on a research cruise and up to the sea ice, then up to the northern fjords, with stops back in Longyearbyen between legs. The museum there is fantastic and it was cool to see it again in your footage. I was there in summer, so unfortunately didn't get to experience it in the snow.
Hi Morten Fantastic video, really artfully done, you deserve to be put on some television because your videos are not only beautiful, non-invasive with the animals, always enjoyable to watch even several times, you would be a great popularizer Congratulations from Italy and you are always a source of inspiration. Thank you for existing Morten Cristian 👋
Wow! Thank you for sharing that incredible ice cave, but I almost had a panic attack watching you crawl around inside it! Don't think I know anyone who gets so excited about cold, blowing wind and snow, but the images you capture are beyond incredible.
Hi Morten, just love the winter snowstorms, howling winds, and the dogs! My absolutely favorite season. And there's such a lovely family to spend time with. Lucky you! And we're lucky too. We get to watch a genuine, kind person, who loves what he does. And in doing so enriches all our lives. Thanks, Morten. Can't wait for next week! Cheers from 🇨🇦 Coral
What an amazing video as always! I enjoyed listening to the little facts of the reindeer and history of Svalbard :) Your reindeers images are so beautiful!
Next month should see me and Maggie my wife up in Svalbard for a nine day adventure on a small boat along with 10 others exploring the north west coast line. Excitement is growing! thank you Morten for giving us tasters. Cheers
I love this video. Morten, you are so talented, and mostly your spirit is inspiring to me. I love watching the joy you experience in nature. Thank you so much for sharing your passion and experience! I would love to know if you have written a book about your experiences with photography. I’m going to buy calendars for my husband who also loves photography too. (Nikon of course!) I was feeling out of sorts before watching this but now I’m so happy and adore those gorgeous reindeer! The children having so much fun together makes my heart lighter and happier. Much appreciated, thank you!!!!
Beautiful! I love your videos and photos so much. Funny thing is, as a Japanese living in US quite a while, I almost cried for joy watching you guys were enjoying sushi roll on the remote island! 😂❤
Absolutely amazing. I've been caught out in these kind of conditions for short times. People just don't realize all it takes to survive and travel in those conditions. 5 miles can seem like an eternity to travel. All the work it takes to just get those photos and your humbleness about the whole thing. Astounding.
Superb photography Morten. Stunning images of the ice cave. Loved everything. The history, Martin's family, the dogs, the reindeer, and most of all you being you. Thanks so much.
Best videos on youtube, also because you have a great personality and are awesome to listen to, + the adventure ofcourse and the videos we get to see about nature. It's perfect!! Much love from the Netherlands 🫡
Once again, thanks for another video. I watch your work here on UA-cam not only for the photography, but your storytelling skills. Keep up your outstanding work!
Just catching up with your videos Morten, and I have to say, your story-telling has improved so much! These genuinely feel complete and are so fulfilling and inspiring to watch. Just what I needed to start my year.
Absolutely stunning images and video of the reindeer. The tour of the ice cave was awesome too. I am always impressed by your talent/skill and it seems only to get better. Amazing!
so incredible watching you making this perfect documentary and even seeing you full of excitement being out in a white out, with a temperature far beyond imagination to work in… respect for the work yiu do and those photos - incredible especially the last ones with that sky.
What a beautiful ice cave! No sculptor could create all this. Just nature! It seems impossible that in such extreme conditions there could be life. Instead I saw happy children, people and animals. amazing and wonderful😍
Spelunking! You just never know what you will be up to in your videos. Enjoyed hearing about your creative concept then watching you capture it...amazing. It looks like you had a really good time with your friend and his family. Excellent video, thanks for sharing.
Love ya brohiem, keep sharing and keeping touch our lives with such beautiful photography. With our lives being busy or even so far away, it helps remind us of the beauty of nature and what's around us. Thank you for sharing my friend.
tak skal du have Morten! Your stories and adventures are so uplifting. I am amazed at the choreography and the attention to detail you bring into your projects. Would love to see how you set up some of the shots when alone. You must set up a camera, walk off into the blizzard, come back and take the setup down, so you are doing most things twice I think. Amazing work!
Wow!! I love everything about this episode. The ice cave was amazing. The sled dogs are well trained and well behaved. The photos are always great! Now, Polar X? Wow! I'm looking forward to the next episode...
Very Well done Morten! The reindeer photographs with the dark blue clouds in the background are simply fantastic. Also can't wait for the next video in the boat!
That is so fantastic. If I were in that cabin with the storm blowing, I would have put more logs in the woodstove, some more coffee then slip into a warm bed. But Morten is excited like a kid in a candy store. Once a soldier always a soldier.
The conditions that you endure for great photos never ceases to amaze me and the proof is in the pudding, but you always have your coffee close by I guess which helps... A birding friend of mine always heads out in inclement weather conditions to capture birds, especially in heavy rain and the results he gets with the droplets are always unique...Ps, you should warm up and come down to Australia for some photography.👌
Another great episode and the next one also looks really exciting! The kids seemed to have a great time and loved the little trip to the museum. I love seeing things used by people many moons ago. The dogs however were wondering why you were out in a snowstorm ;)
Morten Hilmer, you are brave in the snow cave.❤❤❤❤❤❤🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 I have no words.😊. It's all the breath taking snow depths..... My count down for your next outdoor Polar X video this Sunday 7th onwards....
Oh how I miss real winter (and I live in Canada!); been too long since I've been in weather like that. Thanks, as always, for sharing your adventures even the ice cave where I couldn't breathe while watching such is my claustrophobia :) The final 'ghost' shot of the reindeer was (well they all were) wonderful.
Absolutely amazing and beautiful all your videos and I could watch forever. I'm always really looking forward to a new episode from you. Stay healthy and alert and one living space for me would be to go on a photo tour with you. Greetings from far away Berlin from Tommy 😃✌️.

Absolutely stunning! I've never seen someone so happy to go out into a blizzard, but you captured such intimate and moving moments.
Man, the sound of that wind blowing gives me the chills.

Such a contrast, sitting in Phoenix AZ where it a 100F and watching this winter weather (the squeaky snow really took me back). Ufdah!
Love all your work, Morten.
11:10 Two poles crossed as a bipod for the tele lens, super smart.

Haha 😂 I love Sushi but because I eat a lot I never get it on a restaurant.
Yes Sushi has made its way to the Arctic.

Amazing video once again. 2nd to last image (two reindeers) was my favorite.

This is the best way to start weekend. Mortens new upload a cup of coffee
Love the minimalist feel from the still images, perfectly captured!
That is so fantastic. If I were in that cabin with the storm blowing, I would have put more logs in the woodstove, some more coffee then slip into a warm bed.
But Morten is excited like a kid in a candy store.
Once a soldier always a soldier.
Realmente increíble, gracias por mostrarnos estos maravillosos paisajes. Saludos desde Chile
