If you are a reader, try Atomic Habits by James Clear and Think Again by Adam Grant and contrast their positions on happiness and success to Me. Tracy

“Success is peace of mind, which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to become the best of which you are capable.” -John Wooden.,...

Yes, Wooden, I believe the most successful college basketball coach ever, is another champion who would disagree with Mr. Tracey as he teaches small improved while enjoying the process does set goals, Cate about results, and knows when to wait.

Adam Grant and James Clear would disagree. They have argued that these rules are the key to misery and the most successful people of our era do the opposite.
    1. Goal setting will either you make you feel miserable when you do not reach them (no matter how hard we work there can never be a guarantee any goal will be reached) and when goals are met the satisfaction is fleeting that the graduate who looks forward to completing school, walks across the stage and thinks "no what?" Instead of setting goals, aim for small improvements each day and focus on the process. Bill Belicheck does this: it's not his goal to win the Super Bowl, instead he focuses on making the present play, in practice of a game, a best as it can be, trying to improve a little bit each play, nevertheless he has more Super Bowl trophies than anyone
    2. Being results driven makes our happiness depend on what we cannot control, outcomes, so we will be unhappy often. It also makes us fearful of risk since the best way to have all good results is to do what's easy. Steve Jobs has had colossal failures, learned from each one, and recovered to become the most successful entrepreneur of our era. It's ancient wisdom that a person afraid to fail cannot succeed in anything. Instead of letting our happiness depend on the randomness of results we can always be happy if we choose to be happy when we follow a person code of virtues, which is completely in our control: let me happy when I do good today (however one personally defines it). A person who follows a script code and does not fear calculated risk will most likely be more successful overall than someone who feels like a loser when the results don't go their way.
    3. Taking action is better than doing nothing and procrastinating, yes. However successful people have the patience of restraint and courage to act bodily only when the time is right. Someone who believes they must constantly act will lose this competitive world, wasting resources and taking foolish chances, to the person who only acts when the time is right.
In the spirit of open minded discussion, I encourage a response to this criticism and I am willing to change my position of you offer reasonable counterpoints.

Brian Tracy has the statistics and history in time to prove his methods work. What stats and prove methods do you provide? Oh yeah- none. So then you have no legitimate content only an opinion. Thanks for sharing.
