Its called stained glass jello dessert, my grandmother made this in the 1950's and 1960's
Put this in a deep bowl or nice fluted jello mold: crown jewel jello! (real name)
Well no shit captain obvious!!

Hi bubu
Gelatina de mosaico. Mosaic gelatin. ❤ Love making this. In Mexico this is served at birthday parties instead of ice cream and cake. 😊
Sounds & looks deliciously refreshing!😊
*Me sitting in my room imagining that I had the time, patience, and ingredients to make this*
And about a dozen glass bowls
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I remember when I had surgery to remove my tonsils I ate this it’s so good and with it being cold it helped my throat
Try blueberry jello salad with pecans. It is amazing and so nice during the summer!!
😢😳
🤢
Ohhh good idea
That sounds delicious
I remember having that as a child😊❤ it was a special occasion! I'm 62 now, and I'm going to make it for myself now that I know how to make it❤
What is other thing goes in with heavy cream and condensed milk?
Do you understand grams? I go by ounces and don’t know how to convert.
@@kathydilorenzo9744, I dont use grams or milliliters eiher, but google can convert it , and were good to go ! 👍😉
@@kathydilorenzo97441 ounce should be 28 grams

This is very 1950s. This is the sort of thing my mother used to make for lunchtime dessert when we came home from school because we didn’t take a bus we walked to school and back twice a day. Everyone has turned their nose up at gelatin deserts for 20 years but with this I think it’s fair to say their back I will give this one a try. It’s very pretty would be great at a Christmas buffet party
And there's a broth craze or collagen drink people prefer now. So it follows we are eating gelatin for the collagen.
I thought she was going to make Ambrosia, if I spelled correctly? It was very popular when I was a baby.
I personally dont care for it. My granny loved it. The 50's she was already in her early 30's. Good Night🌹
Agree! The fresh fruit is what makes the difference. Jello is of course full of sugar, and the sweetened cond milk too. And fat!
But it's just a treat, and we need to be aware of what we eat and adjustments we must make and NOT eat such treats every day.
YUM!
No one will touch it though😅
@@youresoakinginit2113 looks yukky
My mother made 3-4 different colors of jell-o set in a separate dishes to set, then add heavy whipped cream, line a spring-form pan with lady fingers. Very appetizing and fluffy but not stuffy! 🤗
When do u add whipped cream ?
Sounds yummy ,, and festive 😊
Everyone is so creative..❤ I think will do it the good Ole fashion way putting fruit in my jello and spraying on reddi whip. Good comfort food.
Whenever I have an upset stomach, I live on jello and cottage cheese!😉
Hahaha ! The moment she poured down those two gelatins in separate cups I lost it. Gelatine in Gelatine is coming next i Lost it. Everybody is so creative popped in my head.
❤🎉me 2 yum😊
She spiked the fruit.
For less washing, mix the strawberry gelatine flavour in the tray that we going to set in, similarily for the green gelatine.
Also mix in the cream , condensed milk n rehydrated gelatine in the big tray.
One can also set in either color of jelly in the bigger tray, slices will be thin, or u can tilt the tray in the fridge. Cut the pieces in the same tray n mix the final mix in the big tray, to mix in while the coloured gelatine is in the tray.
Lots of washing up for a simple recipe.
Recipe looks n sounds so so nice.
I think she's striving to demonstrate the different quantities.
Mom? Mm)0
Please stop using grams and tell us in terms we understand.i don't know a gram from a kilo.

I know. I hate anything metric, too. But you can probably check online for a "Metric to Imperial converter." The amounts may be ever-so-slightly off, bc weights to volumes is a bit tricky... but this particular recipe isn't that precise.
BTW, US are the last holdouts avoiding metric. Eryone else literally *weighs* their flour/sugar/etc. It makes me crazy but I'm too old to learn something new that's that complicated. Gotta reserve some memory for where I parked the car. Or why I came in this room? 🤣
Try it with cherry jello red cherry jello and lime that combination is a hit❤
if you want it to be stable without refrigeration use agar instead of gelitain..its also vegan
What is agar I would to know thanks
How does she make the most delicious ingredients into something so upsetting. True talents!
Not only that ad she mentioned everyone asked her 4 the recipe 😮😮who ???
BAHAHA!!!
Jello is not delicious
Why is this upsetting to you?
@@Oonagh72 , I love jello
This is an old recipe, but I've never seen it made with sliced strawberries or grapes before. Just the jello and milk topping.
Oh k, we used to make that at my job. It's called Queen Elizabeth, and it has a whole bunch of squares of different assorted jello into one big mode of yellow jello or something like that cream style jello and you can put fruit, but you can see it looks like a cube. It looks like a rainbow is all color jello's inside the square. When you cut it in big square, big squares
It's originally from Mexico. It's called Mosaic gelatin. Google it.
I would later part, replace with coconut milk most and very small portions of condensed milk and cream. It’ll be healthier.
Doing this but replacing the condensed milk as it’s too sweet😔
diabetic friendly version for me
What would you use in place of the condensed milk?
how bout just mild mixed with gelatine?
Reminds me of that Simpsons episode where they all take Mr Burns fruit jello because someone said he liked it 😂
Poor Mr. Burns. All because the Antique of an old old weebowobbly Lawrence Welk kind of man showed some interest in something. Bet he won't do THAT again!!! Take THAT very old old man. Take THAT!!!
You've heard of one pot meals. Now try every bowl in the house dessert.
Wow! Jello. Now I AM excited!
Can't wait to make this for my brothers and sister ❤
Do you hate them?! Lol
@@BC-bt7hu😂😂😂😂 fr
Evil sibling
We in Brazil instead of adding more jello like a cake we just cut the jello into cubs, different flavours are better. Cut the fresh fruits and leave to serve. Everyone will decide what to put. Then we add on the side the condensed milk and cream so you can add to your bowl. The best combo ever. Fresh and easy.
Blast from the past. Makes me want to play bridge while eating some ambrosia 🤩
Here for it 🎉

My aunt used to make this in the 60's...she called it broken glass salad... delicious!...
I make broken glass jello too! But I've never it seen it made with fresh fruit. This takes it to another level. 😊

My Polish grandmother use to make it as well but I lost her recipe, by chance is this the same recipe your Polish Grandmother made, or was it different ?
If so could you please share that recipe with me..or is it like the one being made here?

Stained glass! Love it. That’s the recipe I remember from the 1970s.
Mmm, in the 70’s , we used to have this dessert on Sundays.

PRECIOSA TE QUEDÓ LA ENSALADA DE FRUTAS 🍇
Yum-m-m! This is what we ate in the 50s when I was a kid. Jello was mixed with fruit and sometimes nuts. I remember lots of jello deserts with pineapple and cherries and topped with whipped cream.😋😋😋😋
400g condensed milk can be left in the biggest bowl, instead of transferring from the small bowl into an empty bigger bowl - less washing, less effort's, save water.
Keep doing what you are doing. Dont listen to those who are talking negatively. God bless you for your efforts keep pushing till you become revolutionary.
May God bless your works.
Broken glass jello is awesome.
In the Philippines, we call this Window Cathedral. My mom used to make something similar during Christmas.
Beautiful and festive. Yummy!
Looks Owsome❤
This was popular a long time ago. If you wait long enough, everything comes back around again.😊
I use all rainbow 🌈 colors, strawberry, then orange, lemon, lime, blue raspberry and regular red raspberry which I dye with a little maroon color to make it purple because I don't like grape flavor jello, and I cut them in cubes and for my white jello mixture I use 1 cup Sour cream, 1 cup whole milk, 1 packet of gelatin powder, 1 tsp. Pineapple essential oil or extract, plus 1 tsp. Lemon juice and fold in 1 (8oz) tub cool whip don't add Any extra sugar because it already is sweetened with the jello flavors and the cool whip is sweetened as well if you don't want to use cool whip just add 1/4 cup cane sugar, dissolve it in the milk and gelatin mixture 😊 My Family Loves it, my coworkers Love it and my church members Love it 😁😊
My grandma made that same thing with bunt cake pan 😂😂😂😂😂

This is so 1960s - my mom used to make this, but she stopped in the 1970s when she learned how gelatine is made.
Looks good, but as a diabetic, I would use sugarfree cool whip. Condensed milk is too high in sugar.
Moderation.
