Make sure your bleach is old school straight up bleach when buying for water purification. Don't buy scented or splashless for water purification. Easier to buy pool shock and reconstitute your own. Just make sure to have glass droppers from the pharmacy aisle, so you count the drops of bleach per gallon. Great vid!

Water filters are important. What other types do you recommend?
He personally does not like to use filters and prefers to boil the water in an emergency situation. But the brands that he recommends are Saywer and Lifestraw.

Thank you for this super thorough overview… I bet you’ll change how some people see their trip to such stores. Also, I’m sure you pointed out some item someone hasn’t thought of before. People could make their checklist right off your video. For me, water, toilet paper, and a pantry full of backups that you can also use up in daily life are the essentials. Thx also fir your advice on batteries. Super helpful

This is all new to me but I love Costco and I'm going to order the Mountain House Emergency Meal Kit 15-Pouch Assortment to try, hoping I would like it enough to start my prepping.
This is a great start, you will not regret it. Figure out what meal you love and get the #10 Cans version of it. You can put it in your car, your get home bag etc since it has a 30 year shelf life.
