    I think George Lucas did an awesome job with the prequel trilogy; he added a lot of depth to a series that lacked it. What did people expect? He did well to take the series back from totalitarianism to a working democracy, with believable issues.
    Oh, and the prequel fight scenes are amazing.

  • @JoseJimeniz

    I just realized: this isn't teaching actors to swordfight. This is a very carefully choreographed ballet. You're deciding how someone holds a sabre, because it makes the dance look more elegant. It's about having something that will look good from the point of view of a camera - it's not just fighting.
    And say what you want about the other two prequels, but he knew what he was doing when he created them as nobel holy warriors. It's what makes the Mandalorian so compelling.

  • @gabethebabe3337
    @gabethebabe3337 6 років тому +41

    I always looked at Lightsaber combat as a very intense deadly dance. There is clearly a rhythm in the movements. It’s almost like ballet. The original trilogy may have had good writing and character interaction, but you have to admit that the duels were pretty clunky and stiff. I’m not just talking about Ben and Vader either. They get better as they go on, but when my cousins and I were kids we wanted to imitate the prequel combat because of how cool it looked. I even watch videos of people host actual duels on UA-cam

    The sword play the used is interesting. I practice Western martial arts, primarily European longsword. I believe the original trilogy used someone well versed in that. European longsword relies on the sword guard for much of its use so using a lightsaber, with no guard and very many ways to get around an opponents blocks and parries would be an interesting way of fighting for sure

    Maul inst dead, he survived his bisection. Through his hate and will to live, as well as his hatred against Kenobi, he reached out with the Force and grabbed an air vent. Maul went down the reactor shaft and landed in water. He was then dumped into a container which was taken to Lotho Minor, where he escaped. Maul was able to use the Force to get a cybernetic apparatus to replace his lost lower body etc. Maul also has 2 bros which Disney will most likely use in the 4th and 5th trilogies!
