Twist of Cain is a phrase referring to the urge Cain got when he killed his brother Able. I've heard use to describe the urge to do something that you know is wrong. "He's always in trouble with the police, he has a Twist of Cain in him" Not sure if I'm correct, but that's how I understand it.
You're taking the "twist of Cain" out of context. The lyrics even states: "got a little twist of Cain from the God below", ie. the rebelious feeling of satisfaction by completing the fraticide and breaking Gods law in the red mist of jealousy granted by the Devil. Brad was really close.
Yall have won UA-cam for being the coolest couple reactors. I feel like I could have hours of deep conversations with Brad and never get bored, and lex could provide an infinite amount of reasons to smile. She has the most contagious joy. Thanks for what yall do.
I consider Lucifuge the best blues album. All the mystique and evil you hear about 'blues' music is all right here. Great blues riffs, slide guitar. I know Danzig is considered hard rock or metal, but anytime some asks me my favorite blues record, it's Lucifuge.
This is the first song on the first record, from 1988. This song was originally a Samhain song that his band reworked. Samhain was Glenn's transitional band in between The Misfits and Danzig. It's funny that you're talking about this circus/carnival thing, because I always thought of Danzig as a metal version of The Doors, and a popular opinion of The Doors is that they sounded like twisted circus music. Regarding Hetfield, he's on the chorus and bridge section. Pretty easy to tell apart from Glenn.
That's what I'm talking bout. This album through the 4th are great. They all have like a Rock/Blues sound. He was great with the Misfits and Samhain as well. btw you're dead on point Brad
I like even the "bad" albums like 666: satan's child, I luciferi, circle of snakes, etc. Worst part is the production but they're very dark and unique sounding. Lillin is one of my favorite Danzig songs

@@AnonymousAccount514 Glenn Danzig has always tries to explore the darker sides of human nature by writting songs seen from the perspective of psychopaths or sociopaths in one form or another.
