Word of caution for anyone else getting wildflower mixes, use companies that make mixes native to your area like Harli did! The general ones at Lowes and places like that generally have non native and even invasive plants in some areas. :)
I just want you to know, that far far away in a cold Russia, someone with a very good sense of humor has recommended you as a funniest plant blogger ever!! Just adore you
Sitting out in the sun with the chickens always makes me happy. Add in spring....ill be singing and twirling like a disney princess out there. Everyone already knows im strange 😂
The love you have for your chickens, and the beautiful eggs, makes me want chickens. But then you show them and I just can't help but feel a little creeped out. I think it's the eyes and the jerky head movements. 😂😂 Also, picking the dried leaves off that plant looked SO satisfying.

Just doing my thing at work watching this and all of the sudden THE BURP at 14 minutes in. I had to hold my laughter in because my work office is so quiet 😭 thank you for leaving that in
When you were crying, I genuinely thought at first it was because the plant was so overwhelmingly beautiful to you and you were crying from heartfelt emotion. Then realized you got injured. 😆
You will be happy that you repotted the plant from your grandmother.what a treasure to have something from her. I wish I had something from your grandmother. Love your podcasts.look forward to them. Thank you 🎉❤
You're so good about showing the detail, like pulling dead leaves (a newbie might think they need to use tiny snips, for example). I know you can do plant care with eyes closed, so I appreciate the step-by-step video *plus* sharing the plant's history, potting medium. Thank you!
Love your Poka-dot. I got one for my wife and we just took some cuttings and set them in water. Now we have two bushy-looking plants. It's great. She loves that kind of plant, I tend to go more for succulents and anything that catches my eye. LOL. I just got a Raven ZZ, it's beautiful and has at least three new stems growing already. I love taking care of my indoor plants, as I can't do much outside anymore. Even inside sometimes, I try to do too much, but the cat makes me sit for a while. Hopefully, things will be better after Friday, I have a heart procedure on Friday. I sure hope things will be easier for me after that. Keep making the videos, the cat and I watch them all when he makes me sit. 😀🌱🪴🌵😀
Syngoniums are my absolute favorite they are the easiest plants to propagate and grow 🩷 also! I gasped when I got my notification about a new vid! We appreciate u girl!
Love the chickens they are so pretty and healthy their combs and waddles are so nice and red I love chickens when you fees them eggs I'm sure you know the shells are good for them
Aw thanks! Yes definitely. I keep a bowl for all our used eggshells that I throw back into their run for them to scratch around & snack one 😁 chickens are so fun

I just love your family so much!! Your. Boys are precious, Bismarck is adorable, love the chickens!! I hear you with the weather! Southern Colorado sunny, warm, windows open, 4-6 inches of snow tomorrow!!😂❤❤❤❤❤
thanks for sharing not to wash your eggs. In germany they don´t wash the eggs you buy at the super marked, so they are not cooled in the supermarket, and they don´t have a salmonella problem, you can definitely eat some raw egg and expect to not get sick. In the beginning it really baffled me why americans seem to be so addicted to cooky dough, until someone explained to me that they can´t eat raw egg at all because they wash them. washing them ruins the barrier they have naturally like you said, this allows not only water but bacteria to enter the egg!
I love your beautiful chickens. I use to raise them long ago. Eggs are expensive here in the L.A. area. 60 pack med. was $16,00. Nice plants. Your Maculata sure is growing.
Oh my gosh yay! I was in the same boat. Had them my whole life growing up & when I moved out on my own I missed having them for almost 10 years too! Feels so nice to have chickie gals on my life again! 😁 super excited for you!
Omg save those egg shells for your soil! It adds calcium and other nutrients to your soil and helps make the soil chunky too. Also use the water you boil your eggs in as a natural fertilizer. I noticed since using egg shells in my soil I have less fungus gnats. Maybe it's just me but my plants love me.
I honestly enjoy the chicken footage as much as the plant footage! I find it so interesting and intriguing. Does the rooster ever fertilize the eggs? Have you ever had problems with him being too aggressive with your hens? I thought you only had girls until this video! He probably protects his girls well!
Hey thank you! I love my chickens way more than my plants haha they’re just so cute & silly 😂 & yes! I’d say 90% of my hens eggs are fertilized so he’s really on top of it 😂 He has never been too aggressive, but I assume that’s mostly an issue with smaller flocks. Any time I’ve heard of that being a problem, the people had less than 6, 7ish chickens so the rooster would bug the same hens over & over

About your syngonium looking “messy”: Have you ever put one in a pot with a moss pole? Maybe you don’t like moss pole’s because i don’t recall seeing many in your videos now that i think of it. But yea a few years ago i started putting my syngoniums on moss poles and they do soo much better now. After i started doing that, o started to wonder why i never see them sold on a moss pole or see other people put them on a moss pole. Also, i don’t actually mean a “moss” pole. Basically just anything that is tall and has some texture that the plant can get its aerial roots attached into. I used a pole that i got years ago that came with a pothos attached to it (from lowes). But i don’t think i’ve noticed them selling those for a while now. Basically its’s just a pvc pipe with coco coir wrapped around it. Also, i want to say i appreciate how you like your plants to sometimes have that messy vibe. I feel like that sounds like a backhanded compliment haha but i mean it nicely. I can get too perfectionist about my plants but watching your videos helps me to just relax about the natural forms they take and look at them as unique pieces of living art instead of feeling frustrated that they don’t have the “perfect” form.
I love it. Being in utah having plants, chickens, and kids i alway relate with your videos so much. Im so tired of the its spring, just kidding heres 3 more inches of snow weather. My favorite comment was this is going to make chicken chores a bitch. 😂
I’m a dog sitter and I had a client who also had chickens so I took care of them as well and the client told me to give them any scraps (besides avacado) even chicken and I’m like isn’t that cannibalism is they said hey it makes the eggs taste better
We have a lot of chickens, a bunch of ducks, and one guinea. We love chickens too much I think 😂 about as much as I love plants. Silkie rooster. We have a black silkie hen named Cleo. And we boil eggs and crush them and let the chickens eat them and the ducks too. They love them
Every time I see a situation where there are a lot of eggs I immediately think about making "Leche Asada", soooo good and easier than making a flan or creme brulee 😅
I loved meeting your chickens! So cute. I've been eating a lot of hard boiled eggs lately, and I found a tip for peeling that actually works! Use a thumbtack to poke a small hole in the bottom (fat) part of the egg. Get your water hot, add eggs, and leave them on a LOW boil for like 12 minutes! If the boil gets a little too wild, the eggs can crack. Then I put them in a bowl of cold water to cool. To peel, I found if you do one kinda straight line from the bottom to top, the sides peel off so much easier! I recommend, ESPECIALLY if you eat them a lot! Can' t wait to see updates on the wildflowers! It's going to look so nice! 🙂LOL to the snow storm. That's just like mother nature 🤣
Love this video. My daughter is curious what the red thing hanging from the chicken called. Would love to see your flowers when they bloom. Is the flavor different in each colored eggs ??
So amazing how the rooster will give the treats to the chickens! They are so smart. Is it a problem if the eggs are fertilized though? I guess as long as you get them fast enough?
Nope! Not a problem. My hens don’t lay on them so they don’t get warm enough (other than in the summer) for chicks to grow. I also collect them & put them in the fridge at least every 3rd day but usually daily
Word of caution for anyone else getting wildflower mixes, use companies that make mixes native to your area like Harli did!
