You should have seen our chickens during summer. I was worried that they had mites or something, but they had just pulled their feathers out because they were hot. They are smooth and beautiful again now, and they are all a different color.
I just had to give my BOP to my sister in law. They live in a tiny home, but, their ceilings are taller than mine. She is so happy, she sends me updates on how it’s doing and the new leaves unfurling 😊
I also haven’t been excited for Christmas since I was a kid. Having my first kid this month and it’s making me look forward to the holidays for once. Seeing your kids so excited for the Christmas tree is getting me excited for my kid to be excited for those types of things 💕(hope that makes sense haha)
Awe, I love my chickens too...yours are so cute! I love the fluffy head one and the all black one (is it an ayam cemani!?...they're so beautiful they look fake!)...I also love a lavender orpington and think that I need one in my life eventually, lol. I've been in super burn out the past year or so...especially when it comes to Christmas and I'm just going through the motions right now. Some might call me a Grinch or Scrooge, but if you know, you know.

@@HarliG he's beautiful 😍 I have seven. I incubated eggs from a friend to start my flock, they hatched March 21st of this year (such a cool experience... Your boys, and you would love it!). I ended up with six roosters and four hens 🤦♀️ I eventually rehomed three of the roosters which was so hard, but they had started fighting and picking on each other. Since I rehomed those three everything has been calm (fingers crossed 🤞🏻). My three boys know their pecking orders and seem fine with it for now anyway. They're all a barnyard mix but most seem to have Americana or Easter egger in them since they have fluffy faces. I love them and all of their big personalities❤️ Their run is one of my escape places when I need a break, lol...and my grow tent. I'm breeding mealworms in my grow tent for my chickens (the warmth and humidity speeds up the pupation). You seem to love bugs, you might like it too 😁
