Just caught your floss tube channel and I'm really loving it. Your work is beautiful. Looking forward to each and every one you record. Thank you for taking the time to do this for us. It's really appreciated.
Welcome to Flosstube. You have such a lovely voice to listen to and you are a breath of fresh air. Your stitching and design choices are just beautiful. I look forward to seeing you again…hopefully soon🌟
I could listen to you all day, your voice is so soothing. We seem to have similar tastes. I also finished “Holiday Countdown 23” and had it framed. I already signed up for “Holiday Countdown 24”. Hope to see you soon.
Wonderful first flosstube! ❤ the other day when you did a few stories on your haul I thought, oh she needs a flosstube! 😊 you’re a delight; thanks for sharing!
Welcome to Flosstube! Your video was fantastic. You did a wonderful job. We have very similar tastes and I love everything you are working on! I am headed to Beach Please too-I would love to meet you! We are also headed to WDW while in Florida. My daughter works at WDW so we try to get there often. Again, wonderful job, and I look forward to more! ❤ Emi
So glad you started your flosstube. I actually had the same debate with myself for a few months before starting mine 😆😆 20 some odd years ago, I almost named my daughter Holly! Looking forward to more videos. Have a blessed week ❤
Holly, your flosstube was a JOY to watch. You have a very soothing voice, are articulate and a wonderful stitcher. I too have been stitching many years. Picked it up again during the pandemic. Also, stitch in hand and find your comment interesting in using a hoop for joint stiffness.
Thank you for your kind words and encouragement! Stitching in a hoop took some adjustment but my hand pain is gone!! I keep the fabric loose enough to sew in hand and it hand and it hasn’t slowed me down a bit!
I just came across your channel and you are a natural ! I love your choice of charts , WIPS and finishes. I can’t wait to see more. One thing though, slow down please. I barely had time seeing the chart and your pieces. There was a Blackbird close to the end I loved but didn’t get a chance to see the name of it or look at the picture very well. I can’t wait to see more videos , thank you for sharing.
So excited you’ve started a flosstube! Watching while I stitch tonight. And when Teresa the Garden goose tells you to do something-you just do it. Don’t ask questions. 😆
Hi Holly!!!!! I’m also a major Blackbird fan!!!!!!!!!! Loved all your projects!!!!!!! Never heard of either retreat but would love to hear more about them in your next video!!!!!😊…lisa
Holly, I loved your Flosstube! I can’t wait to watch your next one. I learned to cross stitch from my Preacher’s wife around 1978 and I have continued and obsessed! Did I miss where you live?
Really enjoyed this video, and I found you on Instagram as well. I wanted to stitch "Faith, Hope, Peace and Love" sampler in the worst way. I started it on the called for WDW Straw, 40 ct. The fabric was so loosey goosey I had to scrap it, that is the first time I ever had to give up on a project. I was fighting the fabric so much it wasn't worth it. I still want to stitch that one, but I think I'll try to find Seraphim Bees Knees for it because the color is similar. I've stitched on old Weeks before but this time was a fail. Just a word of caution. Thanks for a wonderful video!
Welcome to the world of flosstube! I am stitching an Abby Rose design pattern. Almost done! A tip for your videos, it would be better if you could turn your phone sideways when you film, so it fills the screen on computers and TVs. You did really well, and seemed comfortable in front of the camera.
Great video! Yours is the first Flosstube I’ve seen! I cross stitched in my early 20’s but then took a 30 year break to paint and do woodworking. So things have changed so much since I stitched and it is a little daunting!!! Linen!!! Gonna give it a try, I’ve been collecting supplies and small projects to practice on. There are hardly any stitch shops in my area and Hobby Lobby and Michael’s have very little so I have been buying online. When I got my first piece of linen in the mail I was shocked at how tiny the weave was! (32 count) Do your eyes get used to this eventually? Hoping so! Thank you for the video!
How fun, I’m so glad you’re stitching again! Yes, your eyes will adjust. If the 32 seems daunting, try some 28ct. A magnifying light is a must for these older eyeballs! Let me know how it goes!
I hope you continue making flosstubes. I really enjoyed this one. I am still stitching Valentine’s-lol. I got a wee bit sidetracked knitting a baby blanket. Happy stitching!
Hello Holly! What a wonderful 1st Flosstube! You have such beautiful projects and lots of beautiful, big projects planned! I live in NE Ohio and was at the Theresa Kogut retreat at Craft Gallery last year! I’m thinking that you were there! Do you live in Ohio? You are a natural and didn’t look or sound nervous at all! I just subscribed and I look forward to watching your future videos!
Hello! So fun that you’re in NE Ohio! I spent time there visiting one of my daughters and her family! You’ve got fun LNS options! Sadly, I wasn’t at that retreat last year but Craft Gallery sells the chart so I was able to pick it up!
I hope you don't mind me saying this, Holly, but you are just a delight to watch!! It was such a pleasure to find your first flosstube - you seem like a complete natural behind the camera by the way! You have some gorgeous projects on-the-go there, and I really hope that we will see more of you in the future! All the very best.
You’re off to an awesome start, Holly! I too am going to the Library Stitcher retreat so I hope to meet you there. Thanks for bringing part of you to all of us.
I made that same blanket in 1991 for my first son 😂 and did for a couple of years after that and have just came back to it a year ago! Enjoyed watching
Great start Holly! I was an avid stitcher in the 80s …I was in middle school when I started. I’ve recently come back and it’s been like reacquainting with an old friend! Keep stitching and sharing!
Great first video. I started stitching in the early 80’s and stitched a few Precious Moments patterns. I quit stitching in the 90’s and came back to stitching when I retired in 2015. The stitching world had really changed a I love all the changes. I like your Strawberry Fields pattern by Blackbird and I keep eyeing it. Looking forward to your next video.
Welcome to the FlossTube nation!! Our stories are similar. I cross stitched in my early 20s, took a 30-year hiatus during which I started quilting, then discovered cross stitch again through Fat Quarter Shop. And, yes, I’m now also obsessed with stitching! I look forward to seeing your projects.
Hi! Holly’s Flosstube is the first Flosstube I’ve watched. I too started cross stitching in my 20’s and then have not done it for 30+ years. I’ve always been a crafty person so I have been busy with painting and woodworking the last many years. However while looking for punch needle patterns I ran across the Country Stitchers who also cross stitch and I just loved them so now I’m wanting to get back into it but so much has changed! I have never stitched on linen and so that is a little daunting to be honest! I have been gathering supplies which has been tough because there are no stitch stores near me and Hobby Lobby and Michael’s hardly have anything! Probably need to get some clip on magnifying glasses and then I will be set to start. I purchased some small patterns to practice on. Happy stitching! 😊
Omg! I couldn’t click fast enough to watch and subscribe! So fabulous visiting with you in person. Love that you are here. Your stitching is gorgeous 🩷
Love it!!!! Beautiful stitching .....I stitched Strawberry Fields and love seeing others stitching it - one of my favorites. Hugs to you grand babies!!!
Thank you so much! I’m really enjoying Strawberry Fields and can’t wait to finish and start my next BBD! I’m going to see my grands tomorrow’s I’ll squeeze them for you!
Good morning, friend!!! What a pleasant surprise to wake to find this new adventure for you. I’m super impressed by your courage to do a flosstube & to seem so polished by it. Holly, you’re a natural ☺️. Can’t wait to follow along. Have a sweet family vacay at Disney. (I’ve been thinking about y’all & will continue to pray for health). Be well
Was just over watching the floss, bossin cousins when she mentioned you and your grandson, Graham and the fact that he is in the hospital. So first, I would like to say that I am sending healing thoughts his way. Then she mentioned your Floss Tube and I just had to come over and watch it. I am thoroughly enjoying it and I will subscribe. One thing I wish ,Is that the picture was bigger. I am sure there is quite a learning curve to doing these videos. I am just so used to having more of a picture to see. Anyway, congratulations on your first video I hope to see a lot more and praying that your grandson gets well and stays well
Welcome to Flosstube. Really enjoyed your video. Looking forward to seeing your progress on the MFE piece. It's one of the many Jacob pieces on my wishlist. Enjoy your retreats with your friends. Take care, best wishes from 🇮🇪
Nice 1st video. Wonderful of Teresa Kogut to create the design. Very pretty Tiger Lily project keeper. I began stitching at almost age 16, and I'm old now too. lol
Loved your first floss tube. I will be watching again. Thanks for sharing the created in His Image. I haven’t seen that and will have to have that for sure.
Holly, love your floss tube and just subscribed. I am 68 years old and I have been stitching since I was a child but learned to cross stitch when I was 22. We have seen a lot of changes in our craft over the years. Right now I would say Brenda Gervais and Blackbird are two of my favorite designers. I did not like Blackbird back when they were in their hey day and I do not know why !lol I was a big Prarie Schooler, Bent Creek and Lizzie Kate stitcher. Looking forward to following your stitching journey.
Great first flosstube! Your taste in stitching is very much like mine. In fact, I contacted Craft Gallery to see if the Teresa Kogut pattern is still available. I'm hoping so as Teresa is one of my very favorite designers. I have a wide variety of stitching designers and pattern styles that I've stitched and in my collection for future stitching. I just love the whole process from shopping to the FFO's. Thank you so much for sharing and I'm looking forward to what you will show us in the future.
Wecome to FlossTube. Great first video. Love your projects you are working on. I also have Strawberry Fields but I have not started it yet, I do have all the patterns in that series. Who does not love Blackbird patterns. I love Teresa Kogut patterns, I do have a lot of them and I am also ordering some of her market releases. Enjoy your up coming retreats. I would love to go to an in person retreat but right now I don’t have the time or money. I am retiring in June so hopefully I can go to a retreat. I did just recently did an on line retreat with my best friend. Looking forward to your next video. Happy Stitching
Hi Holly, I had to pause and check out calculated stitchers’ destash, it’s always good! Your stitching is lovely-beautiful projects. I’m not a seasonal stitcher either, I like to see my things all year. Lots of WIPS stress me out as well,as do plans. I do best with a couple of projects at a time. But those kitted ones are stacking up! So nice to meet you. Susan Murphy
Oh thank you, Susan! She had quite the amazing destash! I don’t like the pressure of a lot of WIPS yet here I am! And my kit pile is just as large! Let’s stitch faster, shall we?
I like to keep my fabric loose in a hoop and use the sewing method also. And like you, this was due to hand and wrist issues. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I enjoyed your first video.
I had to come right over after Shellie posted a link in her Facebook group. Your first floss tube was so good!! I loved seeing your finishes and WIPs and hearing about your plans. Looking forward to following your videos as you have time to sit and talk😀
Just caught your floss tube channel and I'm really loving it. Your work is beautiful. Looking forward to each and every one you record. Thank you for taking the time to do this for us. It's really appreciated.

Wonderful first flosstube! ❤ the other day when you did a few stories on your haul I thought, oh she needs a flosstube! 😊 you’re a delight; thanks for sharing!
I think my great mail haul that day is what gave me the courage to just go for it!
Welcome to Flosstube! Your video was fantastic. You did a wonderful job. We have very similar tastes and I love everything you are working on! It sounds like quite an under taking!

Oh it’s so frustrating to work with a fabric you hate! I’ll keep that in mind when I start it. Seems I rarely use the called for fabric 😜
Holly, I enjoyed your video very much. I hope you come back with number two you do beautiful stitching.
Oh thank you so much! I hope to have another video soon!

Looking forward to following your stitching journey.
Oh we share a lot of the same likes! Thank you for coming along on the journey!
Wonderful, I hope they have one for you and you can get started on it! Paula and Carlton are so kind!
Oh I hope your retirement allows much stitching and many retreats!
Hi Holly! Great video. Beautiful projects! Looking forward to more! 👏👏
Thank you! Isn’t stitching the best?!
Thank you for watching! We need to spread the word about hoops for hurting hands!
Welcome to our family! Fabulous work. 😊
Thank you! 😊
I had to come right over after Shellie posted a link in her Facebook group. Your first floss tube was so good!! I loved seeing your finishes and WIPs and hearing about your plans. Looking forward to following your videos as you have time to sit and talk😀
Oh thank you! I appreciate you watching and letting me know!
I would love to see in detail how you use your book of days or planner. It looks scrappy
Oh I’ll make a note to show it! Mine is kind of messy and definitely scrappy but I do love it!
You achieved excellent flow on your very first flosstube…congratulations!
Thank you so much!
