Honestly, I just want it to get worse. The worse the shows get, the cheaper it's gonna be when Disney have to sell it to cover some stupid business decision or declining park attendance. Maybe it'll eventually be cheap enough that someone who cares can afford it.
Yep....but it would still be crap. There is one out there of the Kenobi series. Its an improvement, but the whole thing was so bad and stupid, that its hard to make anything good of it. All that happens is most of the really stupid and bad stuff and padding is removed, but the fundamental flaws and plot stupidity and poor ideas are still there, no matter how much is trimmed....
This comment made me laugh for 5 minutes straight. My wife could not understand at first. I have not laughed that long and that hard for almost 3 years. I laughed until I cried. 😂 This metaphor humorously and perfectly encapsulates the frustration of those of us who grew up with the prequels and OG Star Wars as kids only to see this beloved franchise and cultural masterpiece disintegrate. Thank you for the catharsis and the laugh. My spirit really needed this.
Remember everyone, this is supposed to be the "good one" made by Filoni. Lmao. Now I really can't wait for the Acolyte albeit for the wrong reasons. If Ashoka was that bad then the Acolyte will make the sequels look like the LotR trilogy.
Watch out or Empress Killadream Kennedy will force-choke you. The Sack-o-shite is Lesbian Henchmen's great work to destroy the Jedi once and for all. She wields a pinksabre and a rainbowsabre. The queer/feminist force is strong within her.
I’m so glad I don’t have to follow this franchise anymore, modern Star Wars is not the franchise that I grew up with- I can’t wait to see how badly the Acolyte tanks, and Skeleton Crew 😂 like who cares?
@rileygarraway Does that really matter, though? They had 8 episodes to get into a Mortis story, but all we got was a shot of a cgi owl flying away & a big cgi stone carving. That's all they gave us in 8 episodes, and you really want to hang on until season 2 to see where the "real" story goes? Why couldn't they just tell a real story with season 1? The story of the entire 8 episodes could have been told in 1 or 2, leaving room for something to actually happen THIS season, not next. Honestly at this point, season 1 doesn't even matter unless there is a season 2. That's how bad it is, just a trail of breadcrumbs that they expect us to follow & thank them for leaving. No, thank you.
@@ioncewasmikeyand all that shit was completely meaningless to anyone who didn't watch Rebels. Because until just now, I had no idea what any of that meant. Seemed like random nonsense.
@MiguelCruz-oz7km oh absolutely! I've watched Clone Wars but not all of Rebels, and watch enough fan (or ex-fan) theories about the show where I knew what those things hinted at, but as far as emotional impact, that was nonexistent. Imagine if they'd dropped those teases in maybe the 3rd episode & then actually explained what they meant & explored those ideas in the remaining episodes- that could have been interesting. I'm all for introducing new & strange concepts into Star Wars, imo it's a much better alternative than rehashing things we remember from the old films & books. But it has to be done right, and this show failed to do so on every level.
Ah not quite. They went from never seeing each other again and deeply missing each other to never seeing each other again and not really giving a shit.
but he probably got her pregnant so it will be some weird reunion when he finds them later...and they leave him back in this galaxy and they go home ...this planet is like a flipping time share..
Sabine is more interest in ahsoka then ezra, they turn a strong heterosexual character like Ezra Bridger, into clueless joke, I was really expecting Sabine wren put on a strap on and slam Ezra the way he was acting
It's not that Star Wars is dead. It's that Disney can't stop defiling it's corpse. EDIT: Also imagine all the scissoring Sabine and Ahsoka will have now 🤣
Oh yeah they are definitely a couple they made it quite clear that Ezra Bridger is a twink or he's in the friend zone, because she is definitely not interested in him
They kind of made the whole Jedi's being one in a million thing useless with this one. Sabine just willing her self to learn the force removes the whole point that Force sensitives are special in almost all ways.
This is true, unlike kotor 2 there's no background story reason why there should be any awakening of force powers in Sabine. Force sensitivity was shown in Metra Surik's companions as the story develops and you learn their backgrounds. The dynamic and awakening is explained well enough to make sense in the story. In ahsoka it's just "sabine is force sensitive now lol" ignoring everything that happened in rebels basically.
It's almost like he's building his Jedi temple. Also it's been shown that he's interacted with Ahsoka before. I would think his thought process would be along the lines of this is Ahsoka's fight I'll let her handle it I'll only step in if she asks me too.
Well, the only people that consider this show watchable/decent are legitimately mentally reeetarded....which makes sense because the show was created by actual reeeetards to be enjoyed by other reeetardeds.
This whole debacle happened because Sabine wanted to act like a child. If she stayed on the ship in episode 1 and didn't take the map back to her tower, she wouldn't have been stabbed, the bad guys wouldn't have the map, Thrawn wouldn't be back, and THEY wouldn't be stranded.
@@austinbellinger4695that’s a problem. When your “hero’s” have plot armor, then there is no real drama. Never did I think any of these main character’s were in danger. And we all knew Thrawn would leave, so where was the story? Maybe they could have gave us more of Baylen’s mission, killed off his sidekick or something.
@@austinbellinger4695he wasn't trying to kill them though. It's shown in this episode that he literally just throws things at them to stall them for as long as possible to keep them stranded.
Man Disney really is magical isn’t it?! Honestly if you had been told 10 years ago that Disney would do this kind of irreparable damage to such an incredibly lucrative and powerful IP as Star Wars, you would’ve laughed yourself silly at the thought… I’m seriously impressed, they’re actively going out of their way to burn money and destroy their future prospects and people are screaming from the rooftops for them to stop and they just can’t figure it out lol
@rileygarraway for the sake of mine and everybody else’s sanity I’m just going to assume you’re very… very sarcastic, to the point that it almost sounds sincere Because if this is what you consider good writing and good storytelling and good characterization… My God man you might as well just go outside and play in the sandbox with some G.I. Joe’s or something, maybe some shiny keys while you’re at it.
@JackEverton101 clown you have no argument. He asked what is wrong and like a beta male you tap dance around his question. Just answer the damn question..
@rileygarrawayso wait it took for sabine to prove that anyone can use the force all those thousands of years who knew jedi’s are not that special after guess thrown can use it to and all the stone troopers 😂😂😂
I honestly believe, they in earnest believe, they are putting out great star wars content. But all this does is takes the notion they are trying to burn it all down, to the notion, they are just...dumb...
@@TheMightyCookieShow i thought it was just far fetched but i’m now convinced they are trying to break Disney it’s like they £200-£300 million for every projects and it’s all bad really even if the fans or viewers tell them they just keep spending more putting out less definitely something strange going on there
At this point can we just agree that the people touting Filoni as Star Wars' savior are victims of severe head trauma and we should all get them a card?
I was a massive fan of Rebels. Even after all the crap that's been put out, the finale of Rebels left me hoping that at least maybe I'd get some kind of rewarding resolution to my two favorite characters, Ezra and Sabine. Not only did I not get that resolution, Ahsoka made me retroactively hate those two characters.
I also really like Rebels. I refuse to let this trash ruin it for me. I don't count Ahsoka (or any of Disneys live action) as cannon. I'll just make my own story. It's the only way I'm going to be semi content it seems
Exactly. That is why I decided to miss this and not watch it. I did not want them to ruin Ahsoka, Sabine and the Rebels characters. I was not a huge fan of it, but I watched it and it was ok, in the sense that it was not as bad as Last Jedi and the sequel films. But I knew they would ruin the characters in live action and I could end up hating them so....I skipped this and I wont be watching Acolyte either. The only thing I will see is Andor season 2, other than that I am out of Star Wars entirely for good. Or until someone else takes it over....
This episode was SO BORING and the writing and acting was so cringe! I kept looking at the time stamps, hoping it would be over soon. I felt zero emotional attachment to this show or the characters. I'm glad it's over & hope they just leave the franchise alone until they can start making better decisions about any future projects.
With the exception of Andor, I'm done with Disney Star Wars. (And I won't be surprised if they ruin season 2) I've read random fan fiction on the Internet 20 years ago that was better than this mess. Seriously, Disney could have had a contest to write the first season of this show and paid the winner $10K and it would have worked out better.
andor is nothing like star wars people that defend it are just hungry for something to chew on, theyll take anything. Andor is still disney star wars, ya know disney the murderer of star wars?
@@ItsaKindOfMagic86 You are right it isn't the episodic space adventure we know in the movies. Andor is better. The movies they never have enough time to let the characters breathe and fill the universe out. It's always going somewhere else which isn't bad but I like some more depth in some parts. Instead of some jackass saying you have much to learn I would like to see holo device the force sensitive use to gain more power. I would like to see count dookus motivations, I would like to see Darth Plaguis, I would like to see more criminal underworld and the power players in it etc
genuinely confused why they are making a movie for thrawn when this supposed tactical genius is nothing more than moronically incompetent. why would anyone pay to watch this thrawn?
Force ghost Anakin not being in his return of the jedi robes triggered me. If you're gonna cameo post return of the jedi Anakin atleast have him dress correctly. This show is so horrible nothing happened at all. All this show did was try to piggyback off the back of Hayden Christinsan Anakin. This is all Disney is when they cant figure out how to write a good character all they do every show is bring in a legacy character like Anakin or obi wan etc etc. Disney will never learn.
Wow, I thought the same way. Anakin should have looked like the force ghost from ROTJ with the white and brown robes. But I am not surprised. If you watched the end of Rebels you would have noticed how Filoni had deconstructed his own characters for the Ahsoka series. I was put out seeing Sabine with short hair and a mature attitude only for her to be the opposite in Ahsoka ep. 1. Also, Ahsoka wore white at the end of Rebels following her return from Malachor. So where did all the black come from???? I did enjoy Hayden's appearance, but I wish it was handled better. Heck, what would I give for a Star Wars What if alternate universe episode with Hayden playing an older Anakin that didn't fall. All the main actors from the prequel are still alive and aged perfectly for a ANH AU.
Well in a novel, from what I heard, a force ghost can change their robes. But I agree tho, I wished he would’ve worn his white robes instead. Since that represents a force ghost.
space whales. witches. zombie storm troopers. honestly... how were they allowed to do that? what is wrong with people at disney? it's actually unbelievable.
@@fm_kasady that's BS. when did george lucas create space whales, zombie strom troopers and witches? some bell end writing a crap book for nobody isn't George Lucas' star wars. Neither is Dave Filoni making crap cartoons.
Filoni is a bafoon. KK sent him to sabotage Favreau, and Mandalorian S1 was still successful despite Filoni edit: What happened to "Ashoka is running out of time"??? Everyone is just chilling and relaxing now
ah I see Sabine's the one who created the Holdo maneuver hehe. Also where did they get the kyber crystal for the saber? does that droid just have a box of them?
Dave filoni completely emasculated humiliated nerf watered down and destroyed thrawn turned him into a not so smart and cunning over weight 86 years old man dave filoni is going to continue to nick pick lore from the old EU and completely butcher it to fit his soulless poorly written generic watered down childish small repetitive uncreative boring filoniverse
Only 1 scene of Baylon and Shin and still don’t know his motivation. Sabine using the force makes no sense and it’s cringe. Episode seemed cheesy and low stakes
It is absolutely NOT made for fans of Rebels. I loved that show and hated this one. I think after episode 3 I fast forwarded every scene with Ahsoka and Sabine. Guarantee I didn’t miss anything. Filoni should stick to cartoons
This series undid every single bit of character development and growth that Ezra or Sabine had individually or as a pair that was made over 4 seasons of Rebels.
Keep in mind that Dave Filoni was only about 15% of the creative force behind Rebels, if that much at all. So many talented hands went into that series. Rebels is my favorite Star Wars series, and this show was truly terrible.
I am so sick and tired and angry when people give that quote, "This show was made for fans of Rebels, and I'm sure they love it. Rebels was a show made for children." Chris Gore regurgitates this line endlessly, and I was to give him a slap.
I really couldnt make myself believe Ahsoka was ever a threat to a Star Destroyer...... also why does it just dock in orbit? Also how does Sabine have training in 0 timelapse. Why didnt Shin go back to Thrawn. Why is Ezra wearing the helmet when he lands lmfao
Yeah it didn't make any sense that Ahsoka would try to confront a star destroyer, it made even less sense for them to go one foot when Thrown has a literal army and weapons. Even Anakin and Kenobi were somewhat outmatched vs a whole crew even though we know they had a rescue mission they knew when they were outmatched. Ahsoka team seem like they can do anything despite the odds of great failure. I also made that same point as to why the destroyer didn't dock with space ring in space when they have to go back up anyway just to use it. Ahsoka should have been shot in the back by one of the troopers when fighting Elsbeth
@@seedking40 this entire show I had to suspend logic in an attempt to enjoy it but some of it is too much. Idk Ezra got away in the first place... it really feels like someone was super stoned the entire writing session and couldn't see all the obvious plot holes.
They actually dropped the ball on the finale. I'm a somewhat new fan to the Star Wars series and to someone new this entire season was confussssing as hell. Plot armor the size of Manhattan for almost every character, allowing them to make the dumbest decisions and never get punished for it. Andor was an infinitely better show than this.
@@Lobsterwithinternet stopped caring for starwars after the newer movies. Idk what it is but it lost its vibe under Disney. Felt like star wars although not the greatest, had some amazing lore and creative direction. If only LucasFilm had just kept as a solo company.
Dave filoni is more interested in turning every character gay or lesbian and emasculating the men, and they literally had three male leads in the show but the show was more about girl power and lesbians anything else.
if youre a new fan to star wars best advice is to avoid all things star wars under disney stick to the first 6 movies under George Lucas and then hop onto the expanded universe content that was published before disney, that is if you actually desire quality tier stories
The whole show is over, and nothing has really happened. As for the villains, Baylan's motivations are unclear and unexplored. Shin has no personality. Marrok was noone. Thrawn is an absolute idiot, his tactics make no sense. Great mothers are just meh. Morgan Elsbeth was an NPC until the last ep, where I actually did feel like she was being manipulated by Thrawn and I felt kinda sad for her (totally out of character for Thrawn to waste her like that btw if u read the books). And the heroes. Ahsoka has no personality. Sabine has no personality. Anakin said a whole bunch of nothing, and his lessons made 0 sense. He should rly be talking to luke and leia, trying to seek forgiveness, but nah, he sticks with ahsoka because the force is female (filoni aligns with this btw). Ezra rly didnt make me feel anything whatsoever. Huyang was actually alright, had some ok lines. Hera was dreadful. Sabine Ahsoka and Hera are nothing like their animated counterparts. Partly because the actors are actually terrible at their job, partly because they look nothing like the animated counterparts. The action was laughable - Pitting anakin against ahsoka higlighted how slow ahsoka really was... they need someone like Nick Gillard. Filoni is pitiful at character development. There was not 1 scene of character development in this show. It was all plot, yet somehow the plot went absolutely nowhere; how is that even possible? The foundation for a true masterpiece was there - They could've used The Grysk Hegemony, The Chiss Ascendancy, Anakin/vader, Ahsoka, Luke, Starkiller, Abeloth, The ones, The Yuuzhan Vong - and due to this show Filoni has ruined it all.
When did Lazers become baseballs to block/hit after they have been Fired.? I thought it was a Force ability type thing. Sabine was blocking everything with lightsaber before she had her "awakening" so to speak, lol... Then struggles to retrieve her light saber, after that, just can do everything with the Force. What a dumb freaking thing. Poor Ezra, stopped using for e but to Jump and stay on Sabines back. Even those who love these characters should be very disappointed... Don't shill, I Love SW but can admit when things are just ridiculous.. ✌️
I never watched any of the animated stuff, so never knew anything about Ahsoka except how she looks. I watched someone r view her, and it actually seems like she’s the original Star Wars Mary Sue. She holds her own with, or defeats opponents who are among the best fighters in the galaxy whilst just a teenager. She is always right and constantly has the moral high ground. Anytime she does anythign objectively wrong, it is always waved off as if she was right to do what she did or it was understandable what she did. I can see the point of giving kids a character to relate to in a cartoon, but surely they should deliver some decent moral lessons. I’d offer that cartoons like this have shaped some of the dodgy moral compasses we see today.
The show Ahsoka serves as a textbook example of how writing is not for people with short memories. Authors should be able to maintain consistency in their fiction over time with their good long memory. Helps to build loads of mindmaps so you can keep up with all added details you've written in and keep those updated as you make changes back and forth.
I rolled my eyes with that scene. They absolutely glossed over the conflict between Ezra and Sabine where he get's angry at her for letting Thrawn escape and undid his sacrifice in Rebels. I was wanting to see his reaction and question her as to how exactly did she find him. But no, they just threw us the "Nah, it's fine. It's complicated" BS and gave us a lousy reunion with no emotional impact and it felt so empty. And with nothing but awkward pauses.
I hate that Sabine became so powerful. Filoni and Disney just ruined the Force, turning it into a participation trophy, all in the name of female empowerment. Apparently the Jedi were just cruel idiots for taking young children away from their families, because 30-year-olds with no sensitivity can become as strong as any Jedi with a little training.
Why do the stormtroopers keep firing when their blaster bolts keep getting deflected back at them? Are they like the Emperor who can’t stop using Force lightning when it’s getting deflected back at him?
These are the same Stormtroopers in the previous episode that didn't fire when commanded to do so when they had Sabine and Ezra dead to rights. Instead waited until the "good guys" had the upper hand and their troops halfway decimated. They're not exactly the smartest army in the universe, they're only as smart as Filoni allows them to be. Canon fodder
So I guess that’s how this series ends, Ahsoka and Sabine get stuck in another galaxy, Ezra never gets to learn that his best friend screwed over his sacrifice and put the galaxy at risk, and Thrawn returns to his galaxy and gets to reform the Empire
Believe it or not, there are fans that actually root for Thrawn's return. It'd be a waste just to decaffeinate him on Peridia before he even had a chance to escape.
As someone who enjoyed Rebels not giving the reigns to Ezra is stupid beyond belief!! The thing he did better than everybody in rebels was connecting with animals using the force. It was almost a unique ability like Mace shutter point or non sith force lighting.
Isn't it so nice that Anakin returned as a force ghost to visit his padawan and not his daughter and son? Cuz that's the person I'd go to if I came back as a ghost. An old colleague, not my family lol
@@BEZMusic2399 I think you also missed the point that there is no Luke and Anakin ghost talking that would have been better than seeing Anakin visit his padawan. But yea I'd also just look in on my family from a distance but sit and talk to my colleagues and coach them on. Peace! I'll go check out that Return of the Jedi you were talking about.
Thrawn isn't quite evil enough. It's true. He's quasi-evil. He's semi-evil. He's the margarine of evil. He's the Diet Coke of evil... just one calorie, not even enough! This series was straight fan service, a heaping pile of shit served on a shit platter. And they did my girl Shin Hottie wrong... she deserved more than 4 seconds of screentime for the damn finale.
IMO I think people might be over-dissing Ahsoka's Thrawn. I barely saw any plot armor helping him escape back to the Star Wars galaxy. And just because he ordered his forces to retreat doesn't mean it was a bad call. If anything, it's probably a smarter decision on his part. Many people tend to forget that if the Imperial Remnant are having a hard time trying to keep their logistics and supply needs from falling apart, just imagine what Thrawn had to go through in the last decade with card he was dealt with. Remember, ISDs tend to be heavy resource-intensive. I highly doubt Thrawn can go window shopping for actual genuine spare parts to repair the Chimera, let alone replace troopers and fighters if they get lost in battle.
Dude, wasting Hayden/Anakin on a crap character like Ahsoka is bullshit. If you're going to bring him back, have him interact with Luke and Leia. But no, OT bad.
So the appearance of force ghost Anakin means that in ep 5 that was his real force ghost, it wasn't just her vision ? So they allowed her to actually beat the real Anakin in a slow duel where he just moved at least two times slower compared to how he should be with mediocre choreography and camera work and essentially "allowed" her to spin around him in a ridiculous way to "win" that encounter. This makes no sense, they are now distorting and destroying the prequels as well, all in the service of Kathleen Kennedy's radical feminist agenda. It wasn't enough for them to destroy the OT's characters, they are now fully in the process of doing so with the prequel characters just like with the Obi wan show and now Anakin. There's no mention of Luke who should be at the center of this whole plot with Thrawn. Sabine is suddenly able to not only use the force but also use it as if she trained for years already and Ezra was just her sidekick, he wasn't positioned as the main character from the animated show. Thrawn is incompetent and not the same character as in the EU. Baylen and Shin meant nothing at all for the finale, they are meaningless like everything else that happens on this show or in Disney's Star Wars.
@@klaudyoren I assume you meant “keep” him away lol and while yes in agree filoni can keep his hands off Luke. From a lore and story telling standpoint it makes zero sense that the guy who blew up the death star and destroyed the empire is left out of all of this
It's funny seeing the praise for this finale on x-twitter. Like damn, no standards anymore with the fandom that has stuck around. It really comes across as selective premeditated praise, like they decided the finale was great months ago. I actually thought the middle season episodes were decent; nothing great, but enjoyable enough, but damn, no payoff at all with this finale at all. Thrawn didn't do anything impressive. You don't have to be a genius to strategize like this Thrawn at all; and what's his cargo? Who knows, maybe a lore expert could fill me in, unless his master plan isn't even written out yet. & what is the witches plan? Not important yet either but you know they aint loyal to the Empire, why drag it out a few more years? We get zombie death troopers though; cool, but that's it? That's the payoff? I mean, it was speculated those troopers were zombies episodes ago, lol. And then the whole series ending is just a trade-off; one galaxy gets Ezra and Thrawn & witches, while the other gets Ahsoka and Sabine & a wandering Baylan & Shin (who had no real story at all in the finale). That's it. Oh, and Anakin Skywalker as a force ghost appears at the end to remind the viewer that the show was supposed to be about Ahsoka, lol (likewise the point of Thrawn's interaction with her). So the season ends with Anakin admiring the master/apprentice relationship of Ahsoka & Sabine whom he never even met when he was alive, but hey, Sabine is suddenly force-sensitive so why not; might as well make her Sabine Skywalker. What a dumb story, but hey, some people really like it, so good for them. I thought it was the worst live-action star wars television finale so far. It even managed to be worse than Mandalorian season 3's ridiculous finale which featured Axe Woves jetpack 40 thousand feet into the sky & Grogu fighting in an IG droid mech suit.
Thank you for saying out loud how Thrawn has been butchered. Rebels was bad enough but it was a cartoon... but in Ahsoka Thrawn was just unrecognisable. And I am not even talking about the beer belly!
Disney destroyed Star Wars, ripped it apart. The Acolyte will be the final nail in the coffin. No one cares anymore, there is no more good will. A pop culture icon burnt to the ground. Sell Star Wars off now or suffer you will. This last episode of Ahsoka was appalling.
1 The fight choreographies were really amateurish. Almost laughable. 2 Aren't smaller ships faster than the bigger ones, especially in an atmosphere? 3 What's with all the magic nonsense in Star Wars?
Well, I predicted three out of three... 1) Ashoka was going to be underwhelming, 2) Sabine was going to be Rey2, and 3) the Force is now being replaced by witchcraft. Star Wars is DEAD! I'm DONE, Filoni is baloney. Miss G.Lucas, MISS FAVREAU. MISS MORE HAYDEN (ANAKIN/DARTH), EWAN (OBI-WAN) STAR WARS. All I cared about was seeing Hayden and THANK YOU for playing that little bit at the ending because frankly after all the reviews and the fact that I haven't been able to stomach the series, I have no intention of watching the finale, nor do I have any intention of watching the ACOLYTE or ANY other shows produced by Disney for Star Wars.
Filoni was Lucas's prodigy hope you know that and I hope you know that George Lucas created the so called "witchcraft" which its actually called Majik, not magic, Majik its part of the darkside of the force and has been in canon since the 90's
Thanks for the review. Why did Thrawn not be shown as a military genius in this series? Because there aren't that many good guys for Thrawn to defeat. They can't kill Ezra, Ahsoka, Sabine, Chopper, and Huyang since this is just the beginning of Thrawn's reign of terror when he reenters the familiar Star Wars galaxy. They made him into a military leader who makes so many mistakes. This show only makes Thrawn look fallible. For fans of Star Wars who don't know Thrawn, this was a mistake because this leaves them an impression that Thrawn is easily beatable.
Thrawn has lost engagements before. He can be a master tactician but there are even things beyond him that he can't see coming. Timothy Zhan has literally said to beat Thrawn is to have him encounter something he doesn't know or understand completely or something that he cannot control. I predict he'll die the same way he dies in the books. By being "stabbed" in the back. Stabbed in this sense being betrayed by the Great Mother's as they'll get tired of Thrawns antics and sick their undead hoard on him.
I completely lost interest by episode 5. Having managed to get to the end of the utter garbage that was Obi Wan and the mess that was Book of Boba Fett I can't even be bothered with the last 3 episodes of this dross; who cares how it ends? I didn't have a clue who Thrawn was so the build up to his reveal had no impact at all and to find out that he is in fact Moron Smurf appearing in the wrong show makes it very underwhelming indeed. No story, appalling acting and a confusing array of characters that have no likeability or enough screen time to develop. Special effects, nostalgia and posing taking precedence over any semblance of a story.
You learn to appreciate George Lucas on creating the animated show Clone Wars and how he had total control and didn't let Dave do what he wants with it.
I've defended this show a lot. Even though I knew it wasnt great, I didn't think it's as bad as some made out... but this finale cannot be defended. It's one thing to create mysteries... it's another thing not answer ANY of them. An entire season and there was no pay off for ANYTHING.. Terrible writing. They think they're creating tension and interest by not answering a single thing they set up, but they're only creating frustration and making people give up on this nonsense in droves. 🙄 Also, one second of Baylon.. after all that build up? Really? They genuinely could have redeemed the entire series with this episode.. and instead they did the OPPOSITE of everything it needed to be. Giving us less of what we liked about the show, and more of what we didn't like... Baffling incompetence. Also.. Rosarios light saber work while deflecting blaster shots, was cringe AF.
This Thrawn has nothing to do with Rebels Thrawn. In Rebels, Thrawn was menacing. Both mentally and physically. He was, indeed, always a step ahead. He practically destroyed the rebellion, despite the incompetence of his subordinates, had it not been for the Purggils and Ezra's sacrifice. Because the way Rebels ended, there is no way Thrawn or Ezra could have survived survived: hyperspace jump with both of them stranded in the star destroyer bridge with every window/windshield broken...This means instant lungs and intestines explosion as soon as they get in outer space...But, whatever...
I would like to know why does Ahsoka want to train Sabine so badly? She doesn't have the force! Once again proof of terrible writing and storytelling. Watched One Piece cold, didn't know about the characters or their motivations yet tge live action One Piece has such great writing and story development that you know most of the characters motivations within a few episodes. With Ahsoka there's no character development, no telling what their motivations are, absolutely no connective tissue between episode 1 to 8. It's mind-boggling how the Disney empire cannot find one good writer!!!
A character is as smart as its writer. This is just SW Rebels all over again: a Disney show about adults being dumb and the children saving the day as a group of stormtroopers miss a step and die in an explosion. It's a shame that Ghost Anakin _kinda forgot_ to tell Luke to not kill his nephew.
swear the coolest thing ever would've been for a beeping sound to have been heard in the ship, then it explodes while the heroes are on the dogs and we then see Thrawn smile slightly before the ship leaves and it is a "oh crap" moment for the end of the season as if all of thrawns plans were fulfilled and it was just to strand Ahsoka and the others on the planet so he can reconquor things back home.
I am okay with leaving a few Mysteries unanswered but between my son and I not a single question we had by the end of the first episode was answered in this finale... It left us looking at each other wondering why do we care? We really wanted to and unfortunately have to last we're going to see of Ray Stevenson. One interesting character and story thread left completely hanging...Carelessly.
Anyone can build a lightsaber out of their dad's spare parts bin in the garage. Seeing as how ineffective they are shows exactly why the entire galaxy doesn't just go build their own on a whim. "Have you kept up on your training?" What... over the last 24 hours? I'm out.
lol. Makes me want to go re-read the chronicles of Narina. At least the book series is a timeless classic that's well-written compared to this modern garbage.
Yea, ahsoka struggling against Morgan makes zero sense this is the same person that fought maul, grevious, ventress, and Vader. Ahsoka is so nerfed it’s dumb. Meaninglessness stories and fights.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
Holy shit. Ryan has a video longer than 7 min! I’ve seen everything now.

This whole mess is the fault of Sabine, and Ahsoka's response is to folder her arms and look off into the distance.
I rolled my eyes with that scene. They absolutely glossed over the conflict between Ezra and Sabine where he get's angry at her for letting Thrawn escape and undid his sacrifice in Rebels.

In a way, I am glad Luke wasn't mentioned, or involved in any of this mess.
My one question. WHERE THE FUCK IS LUKE
Let him away from Filoni
@@klaudyoren I assume you meant “keep” him away lol and while yes in agree filoni can keep his hands off Luke. From a lore and story telling standpoint it makes zero sense that the guy who blew up the death star and destroyed the empire is left out of all of this
Of course is no sense, even Leia know the situation and not told it to Luke 🥴nothing in this serie make sense at all.
they want to shelve him, like they did with the sequels
they like using George's characters as the jingling keys
21:45 holy shit savage af 😂
What a train wreck of a show.
Couldn’t have said it better myself
They are whats left of the fandom and they are insuffrable people 🤮
This finale was a complete fail.
Rk should we cover great anime? Because anime does better then live action movies
This isn't star wars
it is disney's soy wars
and it is petty
I love how after they kill the troopers the first time, ahsokas team just stands there looking around until the troopers reanimated lol
They're saving Thrawn for the New Republic Movie.
Ok...thrawn won here. That is made very obviously clear. What makes you think he lost or made mistakes?
Thrawn has lost engagements before. He can be a master tactician but there are even things beyond him that he can't see coming. Timothy Zhan has literally said to beat Thrawn is to have him encounter something he doesn't know or understand completely or something that he cannot control. I predict he'll die the same way he dies in the books. By being "stabbed" in the back. Stabbed in this sense being betrayed by the Great Mother's as they'll get tired of Thrawns antics and sick their undead hoard on him.
@@austinbellinger4695yes he successfully ran away
I'm making some Acolyte in my toilet.
Now we know Filoni isn't the answer to "saving" Star Wars.
Also.. Rosarios light saber work while deflecting blaster shots, was cringe AF.
dont defend things that are not great especially when you know it is not great, it is disingenuous
Because the way Rebels ended, there is no way Thrawn or Ezra could have survived survived: hyperspace jump with both of them stranded in the star destroyer bridge with every window/windshield broken...This means instant lungs and intestines explosion as soon as they get in outer space...But, whatever...
damn I lowkey agree but lets be honest we need Thrawn to make up for the fuck up of villians in the sequel trilogy
I came in with zero expectations and was still disappointed
I would like to know why does Ahsoka want to train Sabine so badly? She doesn't have the force! Once again proof of terrible writing and storytelling. Watched One Piece cold, didn't know about the characters or their motivations yet tge live action One Piece has such great writing and story development that you know most of the characters motivations within a few episodes. With Ahsoka there's no character development, no telling what their motivations are, absolutely no connective tissue between episode 1 to 8. It's mind-boggling how the Disney empire cannot find one good writer!!!
I am a long time fan of Star wars did not care for the 7,8 and 9 movies, but I am loving Ahsoka season 2 is going to incorporate the Mortis gods.
The Zombietroopers are a Perfect Representation of Star Wars.
This was such a mess of a finale. So many frustratingly stupid moments and Thrawn is just pathetic. Ugh....
It's a shame the series is so bad.
Why is there time lord writing all over the place?
Failuroni's Cucksoka...a Soy Wars story. FFS....
Well Rags was right. Sabine became leader of the mage guild.
No cliffhanger, no explanations of wtf is going on.. just a clusterF of nonsense. Disney just keep throwing money you don't have at this 🐕 💩
swear the coolest thing ever would've been for a beeping sound to have been heard in the ship, then it explodes while the heroes are on the dogs and we then see Thrawn smile slightly before the ship leaves and it is a "oh crap" moment for the end of the season as if all of thrawns plans were fulfilled and it was just to strand Ahsoka and the others on the planet so he can reconquor things back home.
APPARENTLY Filoni was just setting shit up for his movie
Anyone can build a lightsaber out of their dad's spare parts bin in the garage. Seeing as how ineffective they are shows exactly why the entire galaxy doesn't just go build their own on a whim. "Have you kept up on your training?" What... over the last 24 hours? I'm out.
Guess where they got this from The Jedi, The Witch, and The Warlord? This was the title of episode 8.
lol. Makes me want to go re-read the chronicles of Narina. At least the book series is a timeless classic that's well-written compared to this modern garbage.
@@chosenmibhar 💯
Yea, ahsoka struggling against Morgan makes zero sense this is the same person that fought maul, grevious, ventress, and Vader. Ahsoka is so nerfed it’s dumb. Meaninglessness stories and fights.
She should have never been able to face the ones you mentioned. She was never on their level and was never supposed to be. She's a side character that shouldn't be alive in the actual canon if it was still controlled by Lucas. She was never this great Jedi, she's not on the same level as any of the legacy characters, but Filoni wanted to make everything about her in Disney's Star Wars. She's his fan fiction.
@@rpgadventurer32 yes with most of these people she really never had a chance expect for ventress at the time of the fights
I mean Morgan was being actively buffed by that upgrade the nightsisters gave to her and also the blade buffed her too.
Nerfed??? She defeated 3 space ships while doing space acrobatics
They're setting up Abeloth as the New Big Bad of Star Wars.
that's not Thrawn. that's a blue Chinese version of Data!
Remember when Dave Filoni was the savior of StarWars?😂
