I’m in my 60’s, and I’m a diehard Seminole fan. I’m thrilled if we get both of these coaches, but at the same time I hate the direction college football is headed. No Seminole fan that’s close to my age respects Nebraska football and their fans more than us. We remember the good old days! We wish you guys all the best in your coaching search. Go NOLES and Go Cornhuskers!

I agree with you, Sir. I've been a college sports fan since the early '60's. But what is happening now is horrible. It has become a real "shit show".
Yes the kids should be paid, of course they were and are getting room/ board. tuition and on before this TP and NIL hit the fan. If this present system is not corrected, most of us (fans) will be gone....

I’m a Seminole old enough to remember Florida State University scheduling 4 games at Nebraska. Coach Bobby Bowden had just began building Florida State into the brand it became. A reporter asked Coach Bowden was there a program that he aspired FSU to look like? Yes, Nebraska is the model I want to see at Florida State University. Does anyone believe Coach Bowden & Coach Osborne would enjoy this current model of College Football? I don’t like it much myself. ✌🏼 🇺🇸

Just have to see how it all falls out. Just because we lose good coaches doesn't mean we don't gain good replacements. The one thing that doesn't change is that change is always happening. Recruiting in FL is a lot easier than recruiting in NE. A lot less travel and just focus on in-state talent. Maybe they want less recruiting travel or the warm weather in FL, or no state taxes on those multi-million dollar salaries.

    • @LaRonMooreL
      @LaRonMooreL День тому +1

@@jameswhite5927 lol you fans live in dream land. This is my view coming from a Former division 1 college football athlete and coach perspective. Players are recruited to a school, just like they always have been, the fans are the ones that are committed to the school, players and coaches coming from all across the country grow to become committed to the players you play with and for, then the school.
And the reason that players used to stay is because they had no choice but to stay, the rules used to be so harmful to players wanting to leave because of various reasons. Trust, when I say this, coaches and programs lie to kids all the time to get them to commit especially before the transfer portal, so if a kid is lied to or you just find out when you get to the school that this system or program isn’t for you, a player should be stuck to that decision? when a school can take your scholarship for any reason they want to or the coaches that recruited the players can just leave for the next best job for them..
Nebraska fans in the early 2000’s were inpatient and wanted a good head coach gone, then had another good head coach, and wanted him gone because his demeanor and attitude didn’t resemble the great Tom Osborne.. I bet fans now would give anything to have 9 win seasons like both of those coaches delivered time and time again both having over a 70 % win rate while at Nebraska. Fans play a big role in why the system is the way it is now, no one is patient anymore people want instant success.
Yes there are things they need to be fixed but it has nothing to do with players and coaches not being committed, to the school. If these rules were in play before the transfer portal, players would have been leaving then as well.
Coaches leave because they are always trying to find the next stepping stone to get you were you want to be, and for the DC leaving and the D Line coach, you can blame that on the head coach. why would they stay to work for a man who replaces his Offensive coordinator with a guy he said “was coming to analyze “ the team and then the next week he’s the coordinator, and on top of that all the excuses Rhule gave to why he made the decision, I’m not saying that the offensive coordinator didn’t deserve to be fired but the way it all happened, leaves a sour taste and knowing a few coaches on the staff on the defensive side of the ball, I know they felt the same way, cuz who is to say he won’t do the same thing to them in the future.
I was recruited by Holgerson and played for, and wish him nothing but the best, but do you think he is committed to Nebraska or is this just a pit stop to get him back into coaching after being fired from his last two jobs!

Seems like panic mode when you’re trying to make a jump from year 2 to year 3. I'm a bad fan. I take every loss as a personal attack on my childhood memories. I then want to rip coaches and players. I dont know what it's like to be a fan of another team other than the Huskers, but the thing that's consistent with the Husker program is us. The coaches, players, and leadership are all different. Maybe it's us...🤷‍♂️

The Iowa fb program has a stability that Nebraska should copy. And they will beat the Huskers with the chaotic mess we are in.

Can't blame them, that Iowa loss was devastating. To play like that on defense n lose because your head coach is too incompetent to win over n over n over is hard to mentalize. Iowa doesn't score much but at least their program has a culture of give believing they can win those type of games. Multiple head coaches at Nebraska n yet can't win those games shows it's not a head coaching issue but a complete program wide culture issue.

White had a top 15 defense half the time. Our super senior d linemen are gone… who will replace them. Remember, our defense got boatraced by Indiana.

This could be used as leverage in negotiations of a new contract. If Coach White and Knighton leaves I wish them the best of luck they will need it at FSU culture over there is broken Lame duck coach who will be fired mid season if they struggle so I don’t understand the move at all. Leonhard & Walters I like a lot due to their track record with defensive talent similar to what we have with great results. GBR🌽

I just wish they would take Dylan with them. We need a dual threat quarterback who knows how to run the ball when no one's open. We need a quarterback who knows how to throw the ball instead of waiting to get sacked. Before the spring game I said he was going to be a liability he only had three games that were pretty good this year most of our winds points etc or by defense and running backs. Dylan did some stuff too but I really would like to see him leave. I would like to see another quarterback that's just like touchdown Tommy Frazier and no one can ever say no to that.

Mr. Carriker I really I think you’re a real character guy and a really upstanding supporter of Nebby.
I admit I’m an Iowa guy,but when coaches like Kirk ,and Matt Campbell , Barry Alvarez lose respect for him ,you maybe need to revalue what kind of coach you need in Lincoln.
    He’s no Tom Osborn
