Hi, I'm a 87 yr. old man from Ohio ( Gary ) and I really admire you two. I watch you every day and enjoy it. I used to hunt deer a lot and enjoyed it and really enjoyed the out doors. I don't walk to good anymore But you really have a keeper in that lady and I would offer you 27 Quarts of beans and 40 # of Hamburg and a gallon of wine for her. All kidding aside, thanks for letting me share your life.
I'm not a vegetarian and fully understand the process. I love your respect for your hunt and the sustainability for harvesting your own meat. I still felt emotional for the moose cow. It's definitely something to reflect upon as we, socially, have become more disconnected from our food source.
Extremely difficult to watch for people that don’t have any concept of where and how their food is sourced. I’m unsure as to whether I could do this, I’m a chef and have butchered various species but whether I could make the shot is a different question.
Guys I used to live I Fairbanks and have hunted moose and caribou, so I know how hard the mosquitoes and the processing really is. You guys made it look easy. Great vid.
this channel is exactly what ive been looking for as far as content. hard work, real life survival, perfect explanations/ demonstrations, NO PROFANITY, just a hard working couple living the life from what the videos make it out to be. I never thought Alaska would be such a beautiful place. Great job and amazing content!
I have watched you two for the last couple years and I must say very inspiring. I grew up commercial fishing and hunting with my family here in kenai and I'm proud to say i am keeping the tradition alive for my kids. Super glad to have you guys in Alaska we need more rad people like you two.
The amount of people who can set up well composed time lapse shots, narrate and edit a story, yet also hunt/butcher a moose is likely a pretty small group. I wish you two and your channel the best. Living in the part of the US were the low quite possibly may not have fallen below 70 in the last 5 months I had to chuckle about your 'getting hot today' regarding 70F comment.
That’s what we call hot in the UK, you get used to cooler weather and don’t cope well with hotter temperatures lol it all depends what your used to. At the moment it’s 55f and it’s still pleasant for us on holiday
I know you hear it all the time, but I just found your channel and have truly enjoyed doing the “channel marathon “ to get caught up. You guys are really impressive. Wonderful to see people who are so responsible and self sufficient. Have already learned so much! Thank you for sharing.
Congratulations! We just packed our moose out today. It was epic. No Polaris, but 4 horses did the trick! Gotta love this Alaska life. Blessings from the Kenai Peninsula!
You guys are pretty brave, and honest, to video and show this side of self sufficient living off grid. I will probably never go that far in living a self sufficient life but I admire your commitment. All the homesteading channels I watch stop short of filming the animal processing aspect of this lifestyle - there's a lot of criticism out there and they just don't want to deal with it. But it is a reality and one which you face honestly and respectfully. Good luck to you.
Honestly... I don't care if I'm first or one hundred and first... I just appreciate the parts of your lives that you share... A lot of good meat for the winter... Congratulations!!
I actually like the fact that you show so much of the reality of hunting and processing what you take down. No romanticizing. Just the practicality of it all. Some people might find this distasteful but reality isn't always nice and tidy.
Of the 5 or so 6 channels that I watch and subscribe to, and I’ve really narrowed it down, Your’s is the most authentic, and real life experience that I have enjoyed. I am honestly impressed by what you have been able to accomplish as a team in this video, and I am consistently impressed by how much you both pack into a day. My old Foxfire books, even if updated, would not hold a candle to this. I think you both should seriously think about a video series, or some type of permanent log of your accomplishments. It is truly impressive- what you both have been able to accomplish. And I mean this comment as sincere as I can offer it as a family law lawyer for over 37 years: It is a very, very rare thing to see two people in a relationship work together as cohesively and as a team as you do. This is worthy of some reflection by you both- and maybe it helps to see yourselves through the lease of the rest of the world sometimes. But you should see what we see. Congrats. Keep up the great vids. I am so much enjoying them in my retirement. Great. Good for you.
Congratulations!! What an incredible adventure. Over 200K subscribers, so fantastic. You both do such a fabulous job bringing us along with all you do. Can’t wait to see more!
Timeline sounds just about right. When I got my moose, alone, it was 5 hrs. to gut/skin/quarter, and no trees to use as tools. I too was fortunate enough for it to be winter (north of Kotzebue), and was able to pull the snow mobile/sled right up to the pieces and load them directly. My father was working on his at the same time. I matched his speed, but, his finished pile was purdier. LOL They both ate equally well. Congrats on a fine cow for the freezer. Heart/tongue soup on the first night after the kill is tremendous!! It was a tradition my father introduced me to on my first caribou hunt.
Great video. And thanks for sharing your Polaris information. I've lived in Alaska twice and am returning this coming spring and will be staying for good. In my estimation, moose meat is the best meat on the planet, hands down! Thank you for sharing and Congratulations on your success!
You two live more in a month than most people do in a year , love your adventures your parents must be very proud of you , Adelaide Australia , big fan 10/10
Wow. Absolutely amazing. You two are incredible. But the way your wife went into that moose, no gloves, arms covered in blood, and smiling as she rips out the heart... daaamn. Now THAT'S a woman. God bless you on your homesteading journey
They might have lived in Bay Area but they might not be from there. Also, as a Las Vegas kid born and raised. We went where we could to fish, dirt bike, hunt for many things and live off the land. Normally city kids don’t end up knowing anything valuable. It’s al about parenting.

My dad went moose hunting every year. One year he got a huge bull moose. He got the head stuffed and it hanged on our wall for over 10 years . We use to use it as a Christmas tree and decorate the antlers and put gifts in them lolol. Our cats would jump up on to it and sleep in the antlers too. My dad ended up selling it to the museum of nature in Ottawa Canada.
I literally can’t stop watching! Found this channel a few days ago and im hooked. I will be heading to Alaska when im ready to retire to live like this ❤️. God bless y’all and keep up the great content.
Awesome Arielle!! That is a wonderful feeling. Yes nerve wracking as well but you are back home and safe (man those hills) and can start the winter supply. Love how you both use every bit you can. Love seeing all. Love the compassion for the polaris. Can't wait for the processing.
man it would be a dream come true if I ever in my life go moose hunting there's 99.9% I would never ever go i knw nobody that hunts moose matter fact I've never know nobody from Alaska so that's something in my life that's impossible but I guess watching videos like this is awesome you guys just earned a new subscriber here God bless you both
Took me 30+ years to move to Montana, to have a life similar to theirs. I'm no longer a youngster, but I can hunt, cut firewood, plow snow. If you want it, you can get it. Just plan and execute the dream.

Congratulations! Arielle, so happy for you! What a wonderful feeling to have gotten a moose! And what a blessing that Eric still has a tag to get a bull. I was flabbergasted by how far you had to travel to get back to the Tundra. That Polaris is a beast! Hope Bo, Bandit and Pepper got a moose treat!
Ariel, you are funny and i love the way you eat those berries. I watch every episode with much grater interest than anything else. Great work guys and stay awesome.
You guys are awesome. Yes I've started to watch from the begining again and I have to say, few people could do what you are doing and make it work. Great channel.

Iam so fascinated about your lives in Alaska. I still wonder why you have chosen a life of hard work. I understand it's close to nature and freedom. I envy you for this. Keep inspiring and excited with your vlogs. Stay blessed. Keep carbon footprint low.
Congratulations guys! I hope your canning some of the meat it’s awesome. Cut into chunks add 1/8 to 1/4 tsp salt in pint jars. Ready to eat over pasta. Yum Boy do I ever miss this. I miss living in Fbks/ North Pole Lived there for 20 years.

What’s wrong with our society is not enough living like y’all!!!! Glad you got meat for the freezer! I grew up living outdoors, in fact, I remember checking my trap sets before & after school in PA in the mid 70’s! Times sure have changed! ❤️ from Texas!
If you guys could please do a breakdown of the process of getting your guns shipped to AK from the lower 48 (Choosing an FFL / Shipping / costs) as well as a breakdown of what guns you brought up and why I would GREATLY appreciate it! I plan to move to AK and it’d be nice to see the thought process behind it all. Thanks, and great vid as usual!
AMAZING! I'm a city girl with in-laws in North Dakota that hunt & process their "hunts". I've never seen the meat processed but have been lucky enough to enjoy the meat. This was so educational for me. You both are a delight to watch & learn from. Keep on truckin with these great videos.
Congrats! We've been out at Jim Lake in Butte hunting last weekend and this, and no moose yet. It's been beautiful weather, though, and we've seen some incredible birds and gotten out on the water. I know you will enjoy the fruits (or meats, as it were) of your labor!
Hunting definitely isn't my thing, so I skipped over a few of the more stomach-turning parts, but this really showcases what it's like for hunters and just how much you care for everything you hunt.
You are so strong and versatile! It must take a great determination to go hunting for a moose. What a team you make! No coments on all your ammunition. I know nothing on this subject. Enjoy and take care. ❤
When going hunting we soak the liver in some milk overnight and use it for breakfast the next morning. Nothing like fresh liver for breakfast with some onions, peppers, tomato, mushrooms and some scrambled eggs. Eating that with some pot bread made on the fire!! Beautiful!!
Hi. Absolutely love your videos. Please keep them coming. I look forward to seeing these videos. Beautiful Alaskan views and awesome people. Thanks again.
I'm really happy for you two for bagging that cow, moose hunting is big here in northern Ontario also, I know that you will be enjoying your winter meat supply, thanks for taking us along!
From Australia........thank you both. I recently found your channel and have enjoyed every vid. so far. You have a awesome woman, bloody tough. One thing i noticed, you both love your food. LOL But crazy good show guys
That Polaris is a work horse! So glad you got her up n runnin' (and that is was a simple fix)! Your successful hunt wouldn't be possible without it I don't imagine. Ariel I am so impressed with your "gutting" skill. You made quick work of preserving the organs! I appreciate that the two of you are so careful to utilize every bit of the animals you harvest. That was quite the trip down the "hill"! My heart skipped a beat when I saw the tire lift off the ground @18:28!!!! The Polaris appears to be worth every penny although it's a shame the skid plate is so hard (expensive) to acquire. You are certainly prepared for just about anything when you're in her. Your videos are always so informative Chickens are pigs in feathers! They eat ANYthing and everything, don't they?! Yours always look so happy and healthy :) Looking forward to seeing the rest of the processing - sure cleaned those ribs well! Y'all are amazing; I am so thankful that you share your lives with us! I don't often comment as I can't seem to avoid writing a book at the end of your videos :( Sorry 'bout that! :)
Well done. I know it's a huge thing being able to hunt a moose successfully. The cost of food is so much now & even more so in Alaska. Without this ability to hunt life is very different & harder. It's certainly a lot of work getting your meat this way. Not much goes to waste either. Even the chickens benefit hugely & the meat they don't eat will provide a place for maggots to hatch which will in turn provide food .
Congratulations on a successful hunt. You’ll get to relive the memory of the hunt with every moose meal. I’ve been fortunate to draw two moose tags in Montana. My favorite wild game meat by far. Love to see your embracing of the Alaskan lifestyle in the short time you’ve lived there.
This is really fascinating. I like how you showed us the initial unsuccessful attempts, then also when you carved out the whole carcass. Really opened my eyes to the amount of work that gets done to get that all that meat.
Great video. Good call on the level of field processing due to temp. You guys do an excellent job portraying the reality of living the Alaskan homestead lifestyle!Cheers!
Way to go! That is such an awesome blessing to have that meat! Just gotta say I love the Idaho hat! I’m an Idaho gal myself and am living vicariously through your videos. Grew up more of a city girl and wanting to live a lifestyle closer to yours. Wish y’all the best of luck and God bless you in your endeavors!
Congratulations you two!! Not going to lie,I felt a little sad for the moose especially that she didn’t die immediately. But I have had moose and know it is delicious ,also I know she lived and died 100% better than any factor farmed animal. Funny once you move to the butchering,I’m good to go. I know her body will be used to the fullest and feed not only you but your animals. I look forward to seeing all the meals you make. I had to edit and add those flies are insane! You need one of those mosquito net tents to process in.
One thing about this channel that I admire is how you guys work as a team for everything.. it’s really nice to see your both on the same page.

What’s wrong with our society is not enough living like y’all!!!! Glad you got meat for the freezer! I grew up living outdoors, in fact, I remember checking my trap sets before & after school in PA in the mid 70’s! Times sure have changed! ❤️ from Texas!
LOL, I just realized their names are the same as the Little Mermaid characters. LOVE this channel. You two are life goals for young couples
Congratulations on the moose, Arielle and Eric! I remember when you guys were so happy with the roadkill moose. The Alaskan landscape is so beautiful.
Bull shit ,animal CRUELTHY 👎👎👎👎👎👎
@@inekev6566 learn how to spell cruelty not cruelthy.. 😂😭
Eric I like your choice of beer. I haven’t had one in 16 yrs but I still remember the flavor. Bless you both and congrats on the harvest. Doug
"You cut my tarp!"
Man, that's just what my wife would say!! LOL!!
Looks like you guys always have fun 🤩
my favorite youtube channel :)
Good Job, Now the work starts ! eating large this winter Kudos Girl !
Amazing team work! Love how willing she is to dive right in.
I had to cover my eyes when you were going down that hill. Lol. Glad everything went smoothly.
Hunting definitely isn't my thing, so I skipped over a few of the more stomach-turning parts, but this really showcases what it's like for hunters and just how much you care for everything you hunt.
So happy that you guys finally got a Moose down with a tag! Great job guys!!
Hey how you doing guys this is crazy Cuban from Miami Florida I'm so happy for you guys
Your videos are always so informative
Chickens are pigs in feathers!
Good job Arielle. Such a great video. I felt like I was watching an adventure Hollywood movie.
Keep on living the life. Great content, great channel.
love this channel..its all about teamwork
Congratulations on a successful hunt. You’ll get to relive the memory of the hunt with every moose meal. I’ve been fortunate to draw two moose tags in Montana. My favorite wild game meat by far. Love to see your embracing of the Alaskan lifestyle in the short time you’ve lived there.
A lot of work but that’s what it takes to live in Alaska. I’m sure it’s well worth the effort. Good job guys.
That was exciting!!❤️❤️✌️
My life is the total opposite of yours. I eat a mostly plant based diet and live in a big city but i really love and appreciate your way of life.
Great job. This makes up for last year for sure.
