This Red Bird will now officially go into the upper echelon of Red Birds. Its literally as good as it gets. I have already streamed this beauty 3 or 4 times over my big ass HDTV and it is absolutely incredible. Rick is on fire with his brand new rig complete with a full rack system with a huge variety of tonal options. Rick looks so comfy up there, doesn't he? Cotter is a absolute madman on drums and this video confirms he was the PERFECT pick to help propel this great band to yet another level of creativity and dynamics. How he's able to play that hard for 30 straight minutes is beyond me. The dude must be in peak physical condition. Also, watch Cotter the last 5 or 6 minutes of the Delta Jam near the very end...Wow! Simply spectacular! Trevor is also up in rhe mix with these latest live shows, probably because of Cotters freight train drumming directly behind him. This band is a blessing to all who love improvisational high wire jams as we all do. 2024 will be off the charts, you can feel it!

It's that Phat bass riff man. Listen to some of the best early Lou Reed recordings. Lou always had a bass player who could play Phat, almost elastic bass notes. Gotta love it

I saw a lot of people going to this goose concert in Cleveland on Sunday, it reminded me of a southpark episode, most of them dressed exactly the same. Hat glasses cropped beard shorts. Cliche attraction. Interesting. I guess when they say "birds of a feather flock together " it's no joke. I found it odd that the band did not dress this way at all. Only the patrons. Hiveminded. It felt like they were programmed. Like they must be all one.
The drummer in this band plays too many notes, crowds the groove.
This Red Bird WAS hot and one of the better I have heard them do. My burning question is how did Peter sound so good on this and so awful on Creatures? Good grief...and Tomorrow Never Knows was sloppy and sad.
The answer is he’s human. Playing /singing perfectly with massive sections and changes in music is very difficult. ❤️
