@darth_satoshi that's the show they did a 3 song set right? I'm on the fence about the decision. I wanna hear great jams, but I also want a good selection of songs 😅
@@shiftd_1114 the song has grown on me a lot. At first I didn't love the lyrics but now it's become a top song for me... The monster jams it delivers helps too
This amazing Tumble alone sets this show apart from the rest on this tour but then the jam fest second set just melted the place. Pennsylvania magic was in the air. The planets aligned perfectly to make this show in Philly an unforgettable night. The crowd really brought the energy and the band absolutely returned the love tenfold. The song selection fit the magical night with next level jams. This was one show that will never be forgotten.
Phish fan who said fuck it why not and is now a Goose fan. When the steam bellowed out and that stanky funk groove began I knew I was in the right place. Incredible night also, weather-wise, considering this damn Heat Dome we've been in for a month. Good thing, too, because the jams were FIRE.
Congrats on escaping the Phish cult. The best way to go into any Jam band show is with low expectations. Ps there are a lot of other great bands too. 😉
Philadelphia has been a CORNERSTONE of the "jam band" (I hate that term, btw) since 1965 when the Grateful Dead created an entirely new genre of music. 60 yrs and counting... Grateful Dead, Phish, Widespread Panic, Umphrey's McGee, Tauk, Moe.,Spafford, and, of course, GOOSE, et al. These bands KNOW when they come here, they better bring their "A" game! This is hallowed ground for bands like these.. GOD BLESS EM ALL. Thanks TO ALL THE GREAT BANDS we know and love for the decades of amazing music and transcendental vibes. I'm just so thankful that the arc of my life included this genre of music. ROCK ON!!!
Big Thanks for posting this and other show performances. Fell in love with the music listening to Sirius XM, so wish I'd been able to catch Philly show. Absolutely love the funk, free-spirit, crowd, adventure. So glad the jam scene continues with 'new' talent. I hope folks got to read the NYT article about Goose making it big. You guys deserve it. 🎶🤟💃This was a monster jam.
So pissed I missed this show. Hoping they come by Philly again soon. I'm learning the catalogue the jam band way, watching/listening to shows. I think this is my fave song that I recognize so far.
This may very be the Epic Tumble, the Elite Tumble and the Tumble by which all others are compared to from this day forward. THAT my friends, was a symphony of Psychedelic sauce that only Goose can create. I don't think there is another band out there right now that's capable of such brilliance and power. The songs are why we come, the jams are why we stay. GOOOOOSE!
24K views and I swear I'm responsible for 20k of them alone. Its great...so so great. For me from 8 min on is lights out. Appreciate the music! For real...19:00 to 22:00 just slays...
I had to run out of the balcony seats after this to my friends below to talk how epic this was!!! I had front row box was supporting with the red tball T, danced my ass off
Old school phish fan here turned goose fan by their playing as of late. I want to see them take more risks still and have a bit more patience at times but man they are the most promising jam band around right now
Most excellent jam! Maybe things will creep toward their original intended speed as things move forward with Cotter. Feels like everything is a few bbm too slow to start. I hear Rick pushing the tempo after 23 minutes and it reminded me of how the old Goose used to fly! In the past, Ben would have been driving the tempo to its limits.
Bands evolve and mature, tempos are sometimes slightly altered, Jams are reimagined and recreated. Even if Ben were still here, chances are things would be slightly different. Look at the Dead, Phish or any other band that specializes in playing without a net. Its impossible to sound exactly the same year after year - nor would we want them to. Rick has also evolved so much too with his new rig and added effects. He has so many tonal possibilities to choose from now, he's like a mad scientist up there. I love the direction they have taken. I think Cotter is an amazing addition. He's not just a great player, he's an energy back there. I couldn't be more pleased with him. He's definitely elevated the Jams to new heights... Best...
when it finished, my son turned to me and said, "that was crazy" and it was...
Crazy they got 13k the next night, so yeah agreed to nugjar.

13,000 people, their biggest crowd ever the next night. Your son is "nugjar", just a term for son. I agree with your son.
I’d say your son was spot on!!!
i think ive said that at every song for that tour. haha
Never clicked a video so fast in my life. What a show this was ❤
Not just this show, the entire damn tour!!! And then fall tour kicked off Sept 1 and WHOA!! Holmdel, NJ was an absolute COOKER! 🔥

Took my dad and brother to this show. The whole show blew our minds but this jam specifically is what converted the two of them!
Love hearing stuff like this 🤘🏻

I don't know how Cotter keeps that going for so long. Great stuff. Piano was beautiful from about 18th minute on.

Every Philly show has been a standout among the specific tour. Something about the city I guess!
Philly loves Goose!
ALWAYS HAS BEEN (Grateful Dead, Phish etc :) )
Philly always goes hard no matter who it is
There was also a pretty sizable lot scene for a goose show as well! Largest I’ve seen based on the 8 or so shows I’ve been to! Philly is the best
What a show! Took my two teenage sons and they loved it. Thanks, Goose.
You’re a good dad
Thank You! I’ve listened to this atleast 30 times since the show! What an epic night
