Lovely place. I stayed there several times on my visit from the US. The place is old but very clean, you got good wi-fi, the included breakfast is decent. I opted for a room with seaside view, I could have never stayed in that room with the view this guy had. The noise level is not that bad, at night you are able to sleep. I had a nightmare scenario staying at the Tropicana down the street from this place, it was a lovely hotel also but there is a club nearby that does not allow you to sleep at night. The location and price of The Parade is great. Will be back again. Never take stuff from a hotel that you did not bring.

Have stayed there for 3 days with my daughter.had a beautiful room with an awesome ocean view..very reasonable,clean and staff is also friendly.loved the fact that it is super close to the beach.

I have loved your channel ever since UA-cam recommended your braai video - which I admittedly did not like because I am Capetonian and we braai on wood - but you seemed like a really good dude and I simply had to follow you. In Cape Town at the Eastern Food Bazaar you can buy a half-bunny for R23 but it will have Malay spice mixes in stead of Indian spices. Still good, but not a true Durban bunny chow - also, we don't have curry pineapples, at all!
Not too bad for the price considering breakfast is include as well. I enjoyed this video 👌🏻and in true South African Indian fashion, you must take everything that they give you in the room right, they put it there for you so why not. 😂👌🏻 In my cupboard there's a small section full of hotel soaps and shampoos that I probably won't ever use 😂

I don't suggest anyone buys curry or breyani from Kara Nichas. For the past year, I find their curry.. Breyani to have a bitter.. Sour taste. Someone told me that this is a tactic to prevent the food from getting spoilt quickly... Consider the Durban heat.. It however spoils the taste... That's my opinion.
My favourate..but u need to be early for breakfast...and they need to fix elevator...it makes uncomftble sound and move when it stops....but still is my favourate i have been here for 5 years in row

Why don't you take them as well 😅 These satchet packets are there for everyone accommodated there to use same as towels and soap. If you take them not only you prevent other people who use the room from using them you're also forcing the hotel to keep buying them unnecessarily. And why the heck do you need them anyway? Don't you have coffee and sugar at home?😅😅😅 You're more than likely not gonna use them. Seems selfish to me🤷🏽♂️

A polite suggestion: Almost everyone watching this video have stayed in hotels at some time. Videos about hotel rooms and services are plentiful on UA-cam, and boring unless done by professionals. What is truly rare is a guy of Indian heritage, braaiing, meat-eating and camping in South Africa. Exploit it! You may think you are a regular guy, but you are not. There are few like you in the greater world

Is it really clean' well maintained and sanitized? Some properties are really in poor condition, so I am keen to know. It's been a real disappointment in Durban in recent times.

Stayed there for 2 nights in 2018, had a 2 bedroom suite all to myself lol, it was clean and functional, a good stay

They don't have paid parking, Durban is dangerous to park on the street, they will take the wheels, lights, side mirrors, wipers.
Are you taking the shower caps as well.....go there peak time then you will see why it's so cheap
