i don't see why, once the recoil moves the pistol off target, it's off target.. it takes just as much effort to get it back on target with an airsoft pistol as it does with a real .45.. i have shot both..they're both the same, just the recoil and accuracy on the airsoft versions are less. a shooter from japan who only practiced using airsoft won the 2004 real steel challenge, if that's not enough proof i dunno what is. airsoft is a great training aid for short distances. long range sucks tho.
in easier terms....open division guns are race guns and are not primarily used for self defense....that's why they look like toys compared to your production glocks and what have you...
love that multicolored optic on the 2nd gun, is that an OKO? i also have a racegun when i was still in the philippines. i had a Limcat Tigercat with SD upgrade parts and Cmore optic. ;-)
You do know that he shoots real guns too right? He's currently residing in Arizona, just check his channel, there are plenty of footage of him shooting real steel.
wow cool guns, but what's with those ugly tubes, I know it helps maintain a constant gas pressure but it kinda takes away the realism don't you think? well maybe they could atleast restrict the use of that thing for the open category only.
@jp554731 one of my close friends is Japanese, it's true in Japan, he says it's illegal to obtain any firearm, which is why they develop badass airsoft and paintball guns for fun.
@gtarbmx they look like real guns do give you a authentic feeling about using them but anyways it's really dumb to compare them to real guns. by the way, they HAVE recoil if they are gas BLOWBACKS even if it's not compareable to real firearm recoil.^^
@st2hallock Airsoft is a sport that involves shooting other people. That is illeagle to do with real guns and if you to shoot at other people then you can expect a group of highly trained professionals to shoot back. Also, they are much safer then real guns. There's no chance of accidently killing yourself with airsoft guns.
Well don't take this the wrong way (I've got a WE dark dragon BTW) but WE is kinda on the low end of the GBB scale, I'd recommend KWA\KSC\Tokyo Marui as far as a base. As far as parts...Cheap is relative, I'd direct you to STI, SVI or Strayer-Voight Infinity, Airsoft Surgeon.
i don't see why, once the recoil moves the pistol off target, it's off target.. it takes just as much effort to get it back on target with an airsoft pistol as it does with a real .45.. i have shot both..they're both the same, just the recoil and accuracy on the airsoft versions are less. a shooter from japan who only practiced using airsoft won the 2004 real steel challenge, if that's not enough proof i dunno what is. airsoft is a great training aid for short distances. long range bites tho.
i am a lover of real firearms and airsoft. yes, this video is very impressive, there is no way in hell that you could do anything near this good with a real firearm. you not getting the recoil of a .45 caliber or 9mm Major... but still this is very impressive!
ofcourse....the sti 2011 platform for ipsc open division have these kind of physical variations since the platform became popular....google it. Just because a gun is colored sky blue or red doesn't mean it's a toy.....
@SuperLetterbomb because they simulate real gun in all ways except for recoil. why do they make them look like real guns? speaking of which, i'd love to get my hands on some of those sweet looking scope frames for my 9mm witness
@TACTICALAIRSOFTdevon i dont own one but these are extremly modified gas pistolds mostly used for speed shooting, you could use one for skirmishing but im not sure how it would hold up
Hi-Capa ftw? and you guys are aware those things go for $110 to $180 stock (no mods), like most other gas blowbacks, right..? trick em out, sure $400 or so worth of parts, but not really 1 grand.
I thought metal slides were now illegal for Airsoft guns in Japan? Which explains why when ever you buy a TM GBB, you have to replace the cruddy plastic with a metal slide always it'll break...
@bboi2x Good one, first of you`d be well versed on handling the gun, all though I`ll admit that adapting to the recoil and compensate as such is gna be a bit of a parlay, BUT assuming YOU read about such airsoft guns on google already, I think at least you`ll agree that the weight and trigger pull should be in the areas of just about identical, so at least you`d be better off than someone getting their hands on a fully modded race gun without any experience on the matter what so ever :)
There's something i would like to know about the gas that's powering these guns. Is it true that you can only buy (and use) the "green gas" (HFC134a) in Japan, but not anything more powerful than that? Thanks in advance.
As per the compensator, there may be 2 ideas behind this. 1, purely aesthetic. and two, so that it becomes as closely resembling the real steel counterpart as possible. Otherwise, if without the second logic of imitating real steels, aren't we better off flinging corn pellets into the targets or at each other with our hands? Well this might actually come true if Al gore takes over the world, or 2, if global warming strikes. Neither of which I'd live to see.
i bet they'd have a bit of trouble with a gun that has actual recoil. either way, i like what they're doing. hopefully their oppressive nation will allow guns one day
It's strange for someone like him to mod his airsoft guns to have a little recoil as possible when he's actually practicing for real gun IPSC... the hardest kicking airsoft gun is still nothing compared to a real gun, so surely wouldn't you try to get maximum recoil from an airsoft gun for preparation?
@AdioX321 Because it makes it better?...hhmm lets see, champion shooters do it, and you think otherwise...who should i believe, champion shooters or some random youtube person?
@TehGabrillo Well Actually, some parts are, infact from airsoft surgeon. However, the mods as I see in the vid, must have been done locally, as I have a similar setup, tho I do not have the minimal recoil mod.
@STiNGFiST77 most people who airsoft are either little annoying children who play call of duty, or people who own real guns as well, me being one who has fired multiple guns and calibers.
If you don't mind forums, I'd message this guy: pbase.com/illusive_airsoft/airsoft I'm not knocking WE, but their build quality leaves most airtuners wanting. Start with a reliable base, it's cheaper overall.
They look awesome, but I'd rather buy an ar15 for $850, or maybe a saiga 12 for 650, or maybe 3 pistols in .40. Though I can't really say much as this IS in Japan.
@bboi2x Well it helps them enough to have a japanese win the IPSC championship back in 2005 I think. And He never got to train with a real gun, instead borrowed it from a guy in the US, applied and won. :S Surprise butt sex!
@jp554731 that's very sad. a government that prevents the people from arming themselves is nothing but destructive and oppressive. your post helped me understand what this airsoft movement is about
MrSARG222 ; The Tokyo Marui's stock slide is plastic yes, but all of these TM Hi capas are after market and upgraded, the majority of them have aluminum slides as opposed to steel slides that company's such as WE and KJW puts on their Hi Capas. The aluminum slides are aftermarket and cost anywhere between 80-300 USD and are usually bought from ehobby Asian or Alpha airsoft, both Companies based in Hong Kong. The reason the recoil is so minimal is due to the aluminum slides and polymer grips/aluminum mid-frames (if its an advanced frame, if no they are usually steel. The last reason the optics don't have much recoil is because the optic mount is connected to the frame not the slide making it more stable. KnucklesGSM (who build pistols exclusively) shows this with a good amount of his pistol builds.
CervestHD CervestHD CervestHD yeah I owned two custom guns from alpha airsoft and I'm from Hong Kong. I'm pretty sure that the Japanese government specifically bans the export of airsoft pistol slides. If I'm wrong in the previous comments, aluminum slides with a lot of material removed is the case. But aluminum mid frame will not make the gun more stable comparing to a stock mid frame, steel mid frames improve the stability.
i don't see why, once the recoil moves the pistol off target, it's off target.. it takes just as much effort to get it back on target with an airsoft pistol as it does with a real .45.. i have shot both..they're both the same, just the recoil and accuracy on the airsoft versions are less. a shooter from japan who only practiced using airsoft won the 2004 real steel challenge, if that's not enough proof i dunno what is. airsoft is a great training aid for short distances. long range sucks tho.

I keep watching it but it never gets old...
I like how he mentioned Skill is everything. You don't need a $1,000.00 AirSoft Race Gun to be good at ISPC.
in easier terms....open division guns are race guns and are not primarily used for self defense....that's why they look like toys compared to your production glocks and what have you...

@NewDivineWind Paintball is now legal, used to be prohibited in Japan.

sharkshooter2011 ,
Very nice guns man, any idea where I can pick up a nice one like that or did you custom build it yourself?
The gun at 2:50 had some kind of larger safety/ thumb rest looking thing.?
what is that called and where can i find one?
would these scope frames hold up on a real gun? if so i'd love to find out where you can buy em.
I thought metal slides were now illegal for Airsoft guns in Japan? Which explains why when ever you buy a TM GBB, you have to replace the cruddy plastic with a metal slide always it'll break...
Is the compensator really necessary?
What kind of red dot is the red and blue one
where the heck do you get these guns. i want one so bad.
@TheGrahamAker yeah, looks like something the power rangers would use
@jp554731 and may i add that they shoot good.
awesome video. Hello from russian airsoft community
I DONT KNOW WHAT TO GET A 6.01mm INNER BARREL OR A TWIST BARREL?
PLEASE ANSWER!!!!!!!
@bboi2x Good one, first of you`d be well versed on handling the gun, all though I`ll admit that adapting to the recoil and compensate as such is gna be a bit of a parlay, BUT assuming YOU read about such airsoft guns on google already, I think at least you`ll agree that the weight and trigger pull should be in the areas of just about identical, so at least you`d be better off than someone getting their hands on a fully modded race gun without any experience on the matter what so ever :)
sweet guns ;D I'd never have such big red dots on mine or any at all but thats just me ;D
There's something i would like to know about the gas that's powering these guns. Is it true that you can only buy (and use) the "green gas" (HFC134a) in Japan, but not anything more powerful than that?
Thanks in advance.
@shomosnicholas5 look for the brand "airsoft surgeon" they make race guns but they cost alot, 1400$ is a good average...
wow!!! nice gun guys!!
where do i buy it and how much does it cost
When you say engine, do you mean the blow back housing? like the custom tm hi-capa engine, is that a custom bbh or something else?
what do they add to the custom builds? i would like to know so i can run a similar set up
Idk
why does everyone compare it to real guns? what's the point of doing that ? it's like comparing a go kart to a racing car.
Were those airsoft Kobra optics I saw at around 1:29?? Where can I get em??
As per the compensator, there may be 2 ideas behind this. 1, purely aesthetic. and two, so that it becomes as closely resembling the real steel counterpart as possible. do you skirmish with these guns
Can you buy that barrel extintion
He must have an aimbot
Pretty cool.
i bet they'd have a bit of trouble with a gun that has actual recoil. either way, i like what they're doing. hopefully their oppressive nation will allow guns one day
thats so good
It's strange for someone like him to mod his airsoft guns to have a little recoil as possible when he's actually practicing for real gun IPSC... the hardest kicking airsoft gun is still nothing compared to a real gun, so surely wouldn't you try to get maximum recoil from an airsoft gun for preparation?
Well technically they can own shotguns...but thats it and even then you have to go through more paper work than buying a machine gun over here so...
What was the holsters that they were using?
why would you buy a 100 dollar pistol when i can get a nice m60 that shoots just as fast with a right motor and for half the price?
I thought heights weren't allowed in ipsc
@AdioX321 Because it makes it better?...hhmm lets see, champion shooters do it, and you think otherwise...who should i believe, champion shooters or some random youtube person?
how did you short stroke ur marui 5.1???
@ToreDL87 Yep seriously.
@TehGabrillo Well Actually, some parts are, infact from airsoft surgeon. However, the mods as I see in the vid, must have been done locally, as I have a similar setup, tho I do not have the minimal recoil mod.
im sorry a 1000 dollar pistol.
凄いの一言!
@STiNGFiST77 most people who airsoft are either little annoying children who play call of duty, or people who own real guns as well, me being one who has fired multiple guns and calibers.
0:30 How does this sight mirror ?
Such as a RICH guy~ So jealous
why do u need optics on them anyway, there pistols!
If you don't mind forums, I'd message this guy:
pbase.com/illusive_airsoft/airsoft
I'm not knocking WE, but their build quality leaves most airtuners wanting. Start with a reliable base, it's cheaper overall.
Its nice and all but try doing that with real guns big diffrence
each one of thise costs about $1000
Gold Match, everyone?

@jp554731 that's very sad. a government that prevents the people from arming themselves is nothing but destructive and oppressive. your post helped me understand what this airsoft movement is about

Are you selling any of these and if not how do I build one on a budget
@EZairsoft ...
why on earth anyone would want the trigger at 0:17 beats me.
Suuper 👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏
how can you reduce the recoil like that ?! at 0:47-0:49. thnak yiu
plastic slides... Japanese law bans metal slides
MrSARG222 what the hell really???
