- Unfortunately this was our Christmas special and had to be delayed due to this trip being featured in the sea angler magazine.
So we embarked into another journey to our second home……. The Highlands of Scotland in search of a barn door … the common skate and the elusive cuckoo ray, this time tho we decided to use a lighter rod for the first part of the video as we were asked by the factory . During our expedition we were faced terrential rain and wind , but we managed to get shelter on several marks around the Oban area . Hope yous guys enjoy it

Absolutely brilliant. The 2 Skate were mega catches but to see a cuckoo was awesome.
Really fired up now for my spring trip even though I’ll only have time to catch 2 tides.
Catching a skate would be the icing on the cake for me but just being there and having a chance will be good.
With the homework I’ve done, it won’t be for lack of preparation if I fail to catch.

Well done guys! Some cracking skate there. Also an extra well done on the Cuckoo Ray! I’ve been chasing one myself now for a few years but to no avail. Awesome effort once again guys!
