Hi Annalise! A suggestion for a mic for the try on part is a small clip on mic that you could clip on to your clothes or hold it in your hand at a good distance away from you. This allows you to have the camera far away to show the shoes/clothes but also have good audio being far away. I hope this helps! 🩷🙂
I have suggestions this in the past. Wouldn't be an echo and would be much smoother audio..

Try a clip-on lavalier microphone for wide shots, hon! They’re designed for that kind of thing, just make sure you place the microphone somewhere it won’t be easily brushed against clothing because it will cause loud rustling noises in your audio.
And use a clapboard or even just a loud clap so you know where to sync the audio from your lav mic and your video when you’re editing. Don’t do what I did once and just turn off your camera mic because if you need that camera mic audio as a backup (sometimes files corrupt, sometimes you think you hit record, etc) and it was never captured in the first place, you’re SOL and going to be reshooting 🌝

I honestly don't understand why on every UA-cam video someone complains about the audio. I know some people are hard of hearing but the audio with the camera is really fine. It echoes a bit but not enough for it to turn me off from watching it. Anyways, thanks for trying to update the quality as you can! Love your videos.
I reckon it's your location, jabbed in a corner and the room looks like you don't have enough soft furnishings to absorb some of your acoustics. Maybe some acoustic pads to help improve your acoustics

Comparing shein and temu is difficult because of their different business models. Temu is a much larger marketplace for businesses big and small for a wider variety of products, whereas Shein is specifically for fashion, with more specifically chosen manufacturers.
Hey Annalise (a few recommendations to mic)
Try Røde they sell great mics. And sometimes you can edit audio to be better as well, sometimes it's just a addon you can overlay on the audio while editing. I've noticed you have a lot of acoustics too, a mic or edit could remove that too.
Last thing, I've noticed you have a little pixel glitch or something on your camera right in the middle, if you haven't tried it you should try and clean the lense 🥰

I love the selection on SHEIN. But I am wary because I ordered a white dress with flower pattern. I received an orange and white checkered top. WTH. I tried to return. I’m not very computer savvy and couldn’t figure out. There is no one to call on phone. Disappointed I gave up. When I finally figured it out it was past 30 days and the online customer service rep said it was too late. I still order from SHEIN and had no further trouble but I am still holding my breath either way each order.

I always see other girlies clip a mic to their shirts so maybe give that a try. I think the reason the mic didn’t work was because it was way too close but if you clip in to you maybe that might solve the problem 🤷🏻♀️
This was entertaining. I do not wear hi heels. I have not ordered from Shein. As far as your demos it looks like Shein wins,and the price is a little more. I liked the looks of the temu heel on the black pair,only that part of it. If you would speak slower, it would improve understanding.

Annalise, I used to LOVE ur videos, but this makes me honestly so sad. I would really recommend u to watch documentaries about Shein. The workers work at least 12 a day, barely get any salary and are real life slaves. This is not fair at all and if u really cared for people u would do ur research better.

To help with the microphone issue when recording from a distance, I suggest placing it behind the rose plant that you have on the table… It’ll pick up your voice, but it will decrease the resonance in the feedback 🩶🤘💯
