this is surprisingly good. the voice being slightly deeper (by nightcore standards) would lend itself well to this song, but it other than that minor gripe, it's pretty good.
I think this is more of a remix. The speed is about the same, the pitch is normal. And there is definitely no piano in the original.

They started quietly chuckling before going into full-blown maniacal laughter.
The hero's jaw tightened, fists balled up tightly. They grabbed onto the back of the villain's neck and repeatedly smashed their skull onto the nearby brick wall.
Their face was bloody and beaten, both eyes and cheeks swelled up and their nose was very clearly broken. Their body mangled, it was a miracle that the villain was even conscious. They gave a sly smile. "Ah ah ah, kill me and you'll never found out where she's hidden."

Okay but why does this song suit him so well? For those who dont know, This is ren/Joker from persona 5, he was falsely accused if assukt, and sent away for a year on probation. In this time he meets up with Ryuji, and a few other people, chnaging the hearts of twisted adults via mementose, in one place, he gets caught, and has to recount his story (the gameplay is him telling his story), the group he forms is called "Tha phantom thives", and Joker/Ren is their leader.
Throughout the game, the public goes bavk and forth on if the phantom thives are criminals or good guys

I'm working on a story, I've got the idea from this song, especially this version.
It's about a Russian boy named Nikolaj Bezymenskij who's in a organisation called "The Mafhyja" from the Russian form of Mafia.
Nikolaj joined the organisation when he was nine years old without his parents knowing, now he's twenty-two, he was the youngest ever to join it.
He was Russian-orthodox and would always pray in the street light after he did his "work" and he said that it was for the better, the things he does.
He watched a lot of television when he was a child and this got him to have what the other members called unrealistic and absurd dreams, he was jealous of the people he saw on the screen, wanting to be as successful as they was. The thing that changed him the most was when his parents was asleep, he would watch the news, seeing horrible pictures of murder, explosions and other similar crimes, even this made him jealous because they were also "successful" in his head.
He and the other remembers would do anything for money, power and fear. He would do most of the dirty work in the organisation, such as torture, blackmailing, assassination and so on, but only to the people he thinks deserved it, which for him, was almost everyone.
His mother started to grow worried of him and his mental state because he's been "blasting and laughing so long".
Suprisingly he, unlike most of the members, still had a little of sanity left at some times, others not. The reason I say "others not" is because he usually shoots dead bodies of the people he was sent to kill, long after they are dead because he says that they deserve it.
Sometimes he talks about how he can't go back to being normal, that all the things he has done will leave a mental scar inside of him forever.
He was a talented student when he was still in school, but he dropped out of it by the age of thirteen.
Sometimes he would also break a stranger down either mentally, physically or both just for pleasure.
His most dark age was when he was eighteen and he was crueler than cruelest, more sadistic than sadistic and so on.
When he's older he starts to regret all the things he has done in his life, he starts to get anxious that God will send him to hell, he starts to worry about his future. He wonders if he will live when he's twenty-three and if he will live to see himself grow old. At this time he starts to attempt suicide quite a lot, but never successful, the other members notice this and he stops.
He thinks about quitting The Mafhyja but he heard stories about people who have, one got his legs cut off, shot dead, got blinded by the leader and so on, so he stayed and continued his duties as a member, but now with a little guilt. He feels like he's as good as dead in his current state, and at times he's numb with his emotions.
By the other members he's often described as a mysterious, cruel, suicidal and completely confident, though this is changed when he's twenty-one, soon to be twenty-two. Currently he is described still as mysterious, less confident, paranoid and suicidal.

I haven't really come up with an ending yet, will he take his last suicide attempt? Will he be stuck in the The Mafhyja forever? Will he escape? Will he join a organisation that tries to stop The Mafhyja? I kinda need help with this.
its a nice plot, the ending really depends on what other characters exists in the story
if the story heavily emphasizes on the main character only then maybe you could write the ending in a way where #1. he successfully escapes maybe to another country or #2. he dies trying to escape
if the story is going to introduce a new character like maybe a romantic interest or someone he met during a mission (perhaps his target) who further pushes him to decide on leaving the mafia for good. Then your main chara could start his plan to escape the mafia only to realize that the higher ups already suspect him of doing so and have threatened to kill/held hostage this new person he met
i thought of two ways to end this one
#1, he breaks this new chara out and runs away with he/her, during this process they end up getting caught by the others and they (refers to the mafia) decide to kill them both to make sure none of what they were doing got out and the two charas escaped barely alive or
#2, the mafia felt that the threatening and blackmail isnt working and kill the new character hoping that his/her death causes enough trauma to the main chara for him to completely break (this only applies if the two charas have a deep relationship). What they didnt expect was that the main chara snapped and started a killing spree, massacred everyone that was there that day screaming that "you deserved it" repetitively and then out of guilt and feeling like he has lost everything, he kills himself.
(in this one everyone dies xD)

@@horriblekellible Nikolaj does in fact have a pretty "deep" relationship with a higher up who is 5 years older, Tamryn Ivanov. He kinda saw Tamryn as his saviour that would always be there even if everyone else turn their backs. He and another person who also has quite the title in the mafia are also good friends. This trio would usually drink togheter, talk, have fun and etc. I think about a possibility with the second ending that Tamryn is killed and like you said, Nikolaj goes on a killing spree.
Maybe Tamryn will say that he want Nikolaj to do good instead of bad before he dies?
