Mine came out great, thanks so much for this easy follow tutorial! I would consider myself an intermediate crocheter, and I was able to finish the heart only by listening to your voice, I didn't even watch! I'm going to add this heart to the front of a sweater I am making for my daughter. Keep up the great work!
💕😍That is great to hear! Thanks so much it sounds so adorable - I will love to see a picture of the completed project. The last time a made a sweater was 14 years ago just before my son was born :) 😍💕
I've been crocheting for 58 years. This is one of the best videos I've seen for making a heart. This heart has a beautiful shape....compared to some. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the video on this! I tried super heart to create this with no pattern and it wasn’t quite spreading the way I had hoped. Those 3 double crochets really curved out well
That’s wonderful thank you so much for letting me know. I’m so happy that you liked it. I have yet to try one changing yarn at every round and making it striped but it’s on my to do list something to give a thought to.
I love this! Thanks mine turned out great. I have to say, I’ve never seen someone physically wrap the yarn around the hook like that before! That’s so different. Being unique is awesome.
I learned how to crochet in grade school and have only recently come back to it (thank you pandemic!). I was looking for a heart tutorial and really liked this one. I admit I found it a bit tricky at first, but your directions are clear and easy to follow. After the first one I got the hang of it and made several of these in different sizes for my sister. She absolutely loved them!
I love this tutorial-- your voice is so helpful and comforting and the instructions are easy to follow with great results! I'm wondering if you have any advice for how to continue on with this pattern, adding at least one or two more rows? Thanks so much!
This tutorial was so helpful and easy to follow! How do you get the middle (where we skip two chains) so defined? I’ve noticed mine does not look as defined 🤔 also, if i wanted to make a bigger heart how would i go about increasing?
I pull the middle tight so the stitches kinda close together. I have been making tonnes of the hearts this weekend. To go larger you can increase the beginning chain. Although I have never done it because I just go up a hook size or/and yarn size. :)
Wonderful! Thats great - I got a wee bit addicted to making them this year - now that you have made one you might like this video that moves a bit quicker and has a really cute edging. ua-cam.com/video/a8pIBcqX6v0/v-deo.html
You asked if there are any videos we would like to see. Well, I’d like to see a video on the Brookside hat. I started four times and took out started over. I just couldn’t get it to look right with black and white yarn. I put it aside and started making the adult beanie with worsted weight yarn. I love it. ❤️
Hi ya! Because of the way the increases are done with the Brookside the texture won't look like the picture until you work the sides of the hat. Just like the sweet scalloped this increase rounds look slightly different because of the increases. Let me know if this helps - also feel free to send me a picture through etsy convo and I can have a look! xo
do you have any advice for adapting this pattern to a smaller heart size? trying to make mini hearts for a Project and this is the only video i found of a heart pattern without the magic loop in the middle. also this is really helpful and easy to follow! ♡
You could try starting with a shorter chain and do less increase rounds. Unfortunately I have only made smaller hearts by adjusting the yarn and hook size.
Th soooooooooo very much for a # of great things you do for the beginnerwith, A.D.H.D.I've been learning from you off & on for about 2 years, I'm embarrassed to tell you that bebeacuse , I only know how to do SC & D.C. No need to be embarrassed!!! I am happy to hear though that you have not given up. Please stick with it and hopefully you can try more different designs soon! xo
Omg THANK YOU ! For actually showing us how to tie it off ! I can't tell you how many videos I watch and when it comes to ending the project the video just ends 😳
I would like to crochet a more anatomical heart for an art project I am working on. Is there a way for you to show me how to create a more life like shaped heart? I'm am making lace and need the heart motif for the lace. Thank you
I should shoot closer and do the stitches more slowly. It would make it much easier for those who don't understand English like me: I loved this heart, but I think it's difficult to do when you don't speak fluent English. But I will try !
Thank you for the great feedback! I have started filming closer in my newer videos - so hopefully that will help. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know.
The chain two space is what is created when you skip the stitches. If you look closely you can see that those stitches are more open than the regular stitches. hope this helps!
Do you have a video for a granny square for this heart? I am doing a blanket using this heart pattern, however; I can’t find a granny pattern for this heart.
I try looking online for a granny square similar to your pattern. I will need to redo all my hearts with other heart pAttern that has a granny square. I loved your heart out of all the hearts videos. It took me forever to finally crochet this heart pattern. It’s too bad. Thank you
Do you have the directions written down? I wrote your directions down myself and double checked it three times to your video, however; my heart still comes out cricket.
+Cassandra Good morning you could make the starting chain longer and do more rounds. I’m a bit lazy so I usually go up a yarn and hook size. Hope this helps have a great weekend
It's kinda hard to see what it doing cause it's a bit far away and I'm trying to watch and crochet at the same time. But I can't see where your crochet into to make some of the parts
Thanks so much I always appreciate the feedback. I have been moving much closer and now on my videos and you might find this one a little easier. It's the same heart just has an edging but you may want to check it out. Thanks again for being here. ua-cam.com/video/a8pIBcqX6v0/v-deo.html
@@prettydarnadorable I love this tutorial! I am trying to make an extra large heart, however I'm struggling to figure out how to keep increasing. Is there a sequence/pattern of how many stiches to keep increasing each time?
I agree very much. I’m a beginner and want to make this so badly. But it was hard for me to understand without being able to see close up. I still haven’t gotten it but I will try again maybe when I have some more experience. Thank you for the tutorial
while this heart is cute, you need to NOT fast forward the video for starters, 2nd slow down your going way to fast and for someone like me who might not be a beginner anymore It's still hard to follow, and lastly so beginners CAN also learn it....do STEP BY STEP don't skip steps it makes it too complicated and impossible for a beginner. As I said i'm not a beginner anymore and even I stopped partway through and looked for something else cause It was too difficult to follow along or even try to.
Thank you for the feedback Mellisa - I always question about fast forwarding I guess it is better not to and put time stamps for those who don't need as much direction :) HAPPY HOLIDAYS XO

Wow Susy - that means so much :) Thank you for the kind feedback!
Finally! A tutorial that makes sense!!!!!! Thank you!
Thank you so much - I just made one up in Super Bulky and even a #7 it worked great!
2:02 beginning, 2:50 skip chain, 4:05 1rst round, 4:36 re adding stitches for the bottom, 6:04 round 2, 8:45 round 3, 12:02 round four 11:10

I have only used larger hooks and yarn. You would need to do a few more increases if you are adding more rounds.
This design was so helpful for making pockets! Thank you
That sounds really cute! Thanks so much I am so happy you enjoyed the video :)
Thank you for taking your time to make this video! I was having such a hard time to read the pattern, until I came across this video.

Hi!! Does it only work on single crochet?
Yes 😊. If you tried to use a longer stitch the heart would start to curl to the inside.
