I was eighteen weeks pregnant and lost my little boy a little over a week ago and I've crocheted a couple of these little hearts to put in his coffin with him so he has something to remember his momma by. thank you for teaching me 💛
My son Archie died when he was 6 days old, so I'm making these to send to the NICU and L&D for loss parents. I'm so sorry for your loss. 💙
@Catherine Johnston That is a wonderful idea. There were two little crocheted flowers laid next to my baby in the bassinet at the hospital and my boyfriend and I still have them. Our little boy's name is August. Thank you for sharing your experience with me. I'm so sorry about Archie 💕
this is the first crochet video that hasn’t lost me immediately as a knitter, i can’t thank you enough honestly i’ve been trying to learn for years
I just want to say you are the first person who is not rushing with the crocheting. I was able to follow you as you were going along. You have taken the time to make the crocheting experience so much better. Thank you. I will do a few more heart.
I love that you did this in real-time instead of saying what to do, then skipping ahead. It was SO nice to be able to crochet ALONG with the tutorial, and your speed is perfect. I can't believe this only took 20 minutes! I made one to go with two amigurumi turtles that I gifted to my step-brother, in memory of his wife whom he lost two days ago.
You: so now we have a little heart
Me: sitting here with the circle I just created😟
I started learning how to crochet simple flowers today. I made four before I was happy with the outcome.
@@dianadavis5002 I've just tried ten times in a row and always seem to arrive at the chain too early on the 2nd row.
this was actually one of the most helpful videos on youtube on how to do a heart. most videos just have the person making the heart with no instructions and not guiding along with their voice or slowing down, but this helped me soo much on my second day of learning how to crochet. i'm definitely subscribing! now i have a present for my mom when she gets back from her breast cancer chemo!! thank you so so much!💓🥰🤩
Thank you for this. I have just made lots of these to go into my Grandads coffin after loosing him last week. And another 22 sets of 2 ready to give the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital for Covid-19 patients and their families whilst they are unable to visit. Great video and myself mum and sister were easily able to do this so thanks.
My friend + I have just made 50 big crocheted hearts to give to Corona families as well
Thank you for your reply.. it means so much to me . We made them because we care for people like you + others who couldn't see their loved ones in Hospital ..
I am praying that in your time of need .that you know that other people around the world Care xx
Wow I was actually looking at making these for the exact same reason for the exact same hospitals but wasnt too sure how to get it over to them? Did you have someone you sent it to who then took them over or did you just send it to the hospital :-)
Your voice is so soft, it feels like a hug ❤️
THIS WAS THE BEST TUTORIAL I HAVE EVER WATCHED! The pace was perfect and I could follow along easily. And it had great camera views and descriptions of the stitches!
Agree with you I was able to follow her the pace was just perfect and follow it. Wow what a difference. :)
I am so glad I found this video again. Yes, I too had actually written the directions, but still needed the video to complete my hearts. Ms. Happy Berry, you must know that I crocheted some and gave them to people that had come to our memorial service. They truly touched everyone's heart! This my dear, you have made a heartfelt impression by sharing your talent. Thank you so much. God bless you. It made our hearts happy during a "Covid 19" service when hugs were not allowed for comfort.
hey! i just made my first heart and this is so easy especially for a beginner like me! thank you!!
Your tutorials are always just the best I can find. The steps are so clearly and carefully presented and I never have any doubts. This heart came out very beautiful and I made it for valentines day. Not that I have a valentine. 😅
i thought i was gonna messing things up but her small 'okay?' made me feel better :') also this tutorial is the best!! currently i made three hearts so far and im proud of myself
I’m new to crochet and I have LOVED watching your videos, they’re so lovely to follow along to because it’s like crocheting along side someone 😁 also sounds also we’re from the same part of the map so It’s a familiar voice to crochet with 😃
Love how slow you crocheted so we could have the time to understand what you were teaching. The only problem I had from the written pattern was I thought the 1dc in top of next 4chs meant I would end with 4dcs. But as soon as I viewed the video I knew what you meant. Very good video
I'm in the process of making these for one of my daughters' class instead of sending candy. She's excited about it. Thank you for sharing this pattern with us.
I am really pleased with your creative talent. Best of luck dear.
I am 11 yrs old and i love your tutorials ❤️ i did this heart today and the flower. This is the channel from which i learned how to crochet. Greetings from Romania!
You're without a doubt the best teacher! Slow and precise is exactly what I need. I agree with Icybear!!!
I LOVE your teaching technique! As a novice crochet-er, u have made me want to learn more and make more projects. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your talent. ❤️
Thank you so much. I have now tried one dream catcher video and three heart tutorials with no success. Yay you are a great teacher. So easy to follow. Pattern worked. Thank you namaste
Ever since I learnt how to do these cuties I’ve been giving as presents to family and friends and you have no ideia how people love it! Thanks for your patience while teaching during this tutorial!! ❤️❤️
I just made this out of the yarn leftover from the blanket I made to wrap my infant son in before he was buried. Thank you for making it easy for me to follow.
Dear fallenangelwi25 - I was looking for valentine projects and saw your message. So sorry for your loss. May God give you strength to carry on ...blessings to your family.
@@mistyblue5312 thank you very much. I carry on for our other kids. I thank God for them because I wouldn't be in a good place without them 🙏
I’m a moderate crocheter as I don’t crochet as frequent as I use to but I was able to catch on and make this heart it came out a little Jenky because I’m tired but I know if I do it when my energy levels are higher it will come out so nice. Thank you for such an articulate video and also for informative and step by step
This was such a great video! I just started up crocheting again so I could make something for my 1 year anniversary with my boyfriend. Your tutorial was so easy to follow. Thank you!!❤️
I adore your teaching style ! It's as if I'm sitting with a friend lol. Ive crocheted/ knitted for many years but learning new stitches from books frustrates me at times.... since finding your channel a couple of weeks back. I've learned several of the patterns you have posted. Thank you !!!!!!🌹👍🌹
Can't help myself to leave a comment here 😊 a lot of people are still visiting this vid ❤️💕
Hi! I have to tell you that out of dozens of video tutorials I've seen, yours is the best. Your speed is perfect and easy to keep up with; no rewinding a hundred times. Your directions are perfectly clear and I understand you perfectly. I love your accent as well !!! Keep up the good work.
Thank you so very much! I love this pattern. I wanted mine to be just a little bigger, so I single crocheted all around. It came out lovely. Thanks again!
This has been the easiest-to-follow crochet tutorial I have found! I finally successfully made a heart!!
Why didn't i find this channel earlier this is the best and super easy to follow tutorial my heart turned out soo cute and saved me from alot of frustration thank you🙆💙

Thank you for the very easy instructions to follow. You're a great teacher. 🤗
Thank you so much. Been many years since I last did crochet and we’re making poppies for our wi. Found your instructions so easy to follow and I’m now on my second one! May even try something else after this project.
My mom died in January and the nurses gave me and her matching crochet hearts which look exactly like this (so it must be the same pattern). I learnt to crochet in April to help keep me busy and deal with the grief. Now I've lost my baby girl at 15+4 weeks gestation and I'm going to make me and her a matching set of hearts so we will always be connected too. I hug my mom's crochet heart that was left with me as hers was cremated with her, it's like a little hug when I hold it.
I am so sorry for your loss Jess. It is so nice you have your mom's crochet hearts to hold you through this. These hearts will definitely connect your mom and your baby girl with you forever. I am sending you loads of love and hugs wherever you are ❤
These hearts are so enjoyable to make and instructions easy to follow, thank you so much I gave some to staff and residents at my mother-in-law's care home in red, lilac and white and they loved them 🥰
I am doing this for Mother’s Day and I am sticking “love u” in to it
I just found this video. After reading some of the comments, I was happy to discover I'm not the only one who loves your methods. You explain everything so easily and show us. You prove that you can teach an old dog new tricks- I'm a senior and just starting to crochet.
Can't wait to see the one you did last week
I just got into crocheting and this is the first project i actually did. It came out okay as a little heart but i really enjoyed it. I love your videos and they are so helpful and have veary clear instructions.❤
this is the BEST heart tutorial!!!! I AM FINALLY SUCCESSFUL IN COMPLETING A HEART!!!!!!
Brilliant tutorial, I have made quite a few of these to hang on my crocheted rainbows. Hung in window to brighten everyone’s day and lift people’s spirits in this crazy time. 💕
Good idea. mY hearts didn't turn out that great, but I think they wil be good enough for my window, with a little secret sewiing.
This is easy and amazing. I’m a lefty and I watched a lefty person doing the heart but I didn’t do it as good and real as watching this right handed video. Thank you so much for your clear explanation ❤
I am a long-time crochet lover, and I must say these are the very best instructions I have ever experienced! Amazing job of making crochet fun for the next generation! Clear and concise in every possible way. Thank you very much!
Love this wee pattern, I made two hearts with cotton and crocheted them together to make a little soap saver 😬
I don't know how anyone can not like this video. It was fantastic. Thank you.
I love how to explain things step by step. I have been struggling to make a cute heart and I finally did it with your help! Thank you so much!
Just made this and I’ve only started crocheting the last 2 weeks!! I’m feeling rather pleased with myself too 💙
Thank you for this very easy to follow pattern! I will be using my pesky balls of scrap yarn! Hahaha! I have some green yarn, a lot of black yarn, and light blue that I have to use! A blue heart? A black heart? I hope you have other easy crochet patterns to use as magnets for my fridge. I mostly knit...loving my crochet as of lately! You are an excellent teacher! Thank you and Blessings!
the first time i messed up quite badly and make a very funny-looking heart. but I learned from it and made two great-looking ones after that! thanks a million :) great tutorial
Thank you so much! The video was clear, your instructions were simple and easy to follow! I'm fairly new at crocheting and i successfully made a heart on my first try!
This is literally the best video ever for learning how to crochet hearts. Thank you so much for making it!
I'm so happy to have found you. Your videos are wonderful. I pull up your videos for my grand children and we pick a project to work on together. We have such wonderful fun times together. Thank you so much for providing these wonderful videos. You are a gifted teacher.
I didn't know you had other videos.😯 Now I just have to find them. OH GOODY GOODY YESH 🎉
I have looked at so many different tutorials and by far this is the BEST one. Thank you for taking the time to post these!!
This may have been a simple project for some, but to a newbie or more inexperienced, the articulation in both speech and application in this video is what I found to be beyond fantastic. You were patient, directive, and you had a camera view with clear visual language without confusion. That for some reason most videos fail in having. When you indicated as to where the hook should be placed or follow through. The angle captured it clear and precise. I have never seen another video presentation be able to do this. Your voice is gentle and warming. Thank you kindly!
Lovely tutorial! I easily crocheted along with you, and ended up with a beautiful heart. Thank you so much! Your video saved me so much time, and kept me free of frustration. :)
Love this! I’m going to make them into grannie squares for a patchwork cardigan ❤️
Hello!! Did u make it? If so do u remember the pattern? because I really would like to make them into granny squares but I don’t really now how and the other tutorials doesn’t seem to use this kind of heart
I'm a knitter and have always been completely flummoxed by crochet. Yours are the first videos that have made sense to me. I can do this! Thank you!
This is probably the most explanatory tutorial I've seen for small things like hearts and flowers as a beginner crocheter. Its also the only tutorial which left me with a project that looks like what it is meant to look like 😂!
This was just the touch I needed for my purse that I was making! I love this pattern! Thank you for doing this!
I am for the first time on your channel and fell in Love with the chrochet heart, witch I going to make for my first grandson in december 😍
O my God, i tried and it did turn into a heart. Sure not perfect but im so happy i crochted my first heart.
The instructions were very clear. Thanks dear. ❤
Thank you! I only learnt to crochet a couple of weeks ago, and this was very easy to follow (previously only made granny squares). My Nan is self isolating alone so Im hoping to make some of these to send to her to cheer her up! thanks a milllion!
I love this video. Your voice sounds so sweet. I’ve made 2 hearts so far. Wishing you lots of love peace and happiness ☺️💗💗
Thank you. Made a few of these as a nice embellishment to a crochet dress for my little niece. They look lovely on it. Fantastic instructions.
This is such a great tutorial! I was crocheting back in the past but very casually and last night I got back to doing it and this tutorial had helped me a great deal to get back to shape. Very detailed!
I have been crocheting for about 10 years... I just want to say that your videos are so easy to follow! Thank you so much.
first crochet project i’ve ever done!! my first half of the heart is a bit wonky but once i got the hang of it, it came out neater! so excited to learn crocheting bigger projects :)) thank you for this tutorial! sincerely the best one i’ve ever seen for very first beginners!
I'm so glad I found your channel! You explain so very well & make crocheting easy :) I've taught myself through UA-cam and I've just completed my first beanie from you! Now onto this heart because it's adorable!! Can't wait to try more stuff :) :) thank you!
Love this thank you, I have done a very cute hippo that will be holding this heart. I have done 2 of them then stuffed and stitched on to hands and feet for a lovely valentines present. Love your work.xx
just want to say thank you because your videos are the easiest to follow and always allow enough time for me to learn, very clear instructions. big thank you.
Very easy tutorial, thank you. As I followed along, I used a dark pink chunky yarn with a size K (6.5 mm) hook, and it made a 4"X4" heart. I love it! Thank you
Really easy to follow without pausing, especially because you say what are you going to do before doing it!Thank you! Made couple of these for my crochet knit pillow!
Valeriya Osipovskaya Salter I would like to learn to do the stage it is easy I like to put the video of the heart knitting net
Perfect pace, easy to follow along and a soft, beautiful voice. Thank you 🥰
I finally got it!!!! I’m such a beginner and I’ve tried over and over to learn how to do this...THANK YOU so much for such crystal clear direction!!!!
YAY...I feel inspired instead of defeated❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing!!!! I am making "mini" hearts with worsted weight yarn for
valentine pins!
What a great idea...Can even make then just as I care for you, as little prize for friend and family...Thanks for sharing that...👍👍👍
This video was super easy to follow along with, and it's a perfect speed for beginners! I personally have a lot of crocheting experience, but I loved this anyways. Thank you for the written version as well!
Well! I have been practicing! Not difficult now! So much fun! I made three green hearts and sewed them together to make a shamrock for St. Patrick’s Day!
Love the demonstration clear instructions very easy to follow, thank you for sharing
I’m a beginner And this was such a good start for me so thank you so much ☺️
You made this tutorial so easy to follow, thanks to you I have made lots of hearts 💕 that I have donated to our local hospital. The hospital in Toronto wanted them in pairs so one heart would be placed in the hand of the patient that passes away and the other heart will be given to their family members. Thank you again.
@@applejackisbestpony it is a very beautiful and sad idea that a nurse came up with ❤
Thank you so much for this video! I've only been crocheting for 4 days and I was able to create this heart! Your videos are so easy to follow. I also made a strawberry. Thank you so much!
I made this because I was crocheting a cow but ran out of white yarn for the last arm and I was fine with a 3 legged cow but the spot looked a little empty so I made this heart as the cows heart-shaped spot. Before this I haven't done a treble before but you explained it perfectly and following this tutorial was super easy!! As a bonus your voice is also very calming and made me feel very comfortable :)
My friend passed away a few days ago. I just made a heart for her husband. Thank you for this lovely and easy to follow pattern.❤❤
Where have you been all my life. At last someone who shows clearly and slowly. Thank you
I'm a beginner and followed your tutorial. It worked!! I'm so pleased with my first attempt, I ended up with a slightly bigger hole on the one side at the top but I think it's my tension. Great tutorial, can't wait to try out your others. Thank you so much x
Wonderful tutorial as always God bless you! Happy Valentine's Day, Love! Xoxo
Gorgeous! I just finished making one. I love it! Could it be because I'm a Valentine's Day baby born only 59 years ago. lol lol, Thank you so much for sharing this!
Hello, Yes, I'm still making this Beautiful Heart and I made it to 63 yrs old on Valentine's Day 02/14/ 2020. Thankful To God & Crochet! 😊❤❤❤
I crocheted the mini heart and it worked! Thank you, you are a fantastic teacher x
Thank you . I finished my heart. Had trouble at the very last triple but it turned out okay. Thank you once again.
Thank you so much! Your tutorial is so easy to follow with clear instructions. I made a heart easily with your instruction! Yay!
The perfect crochet heart for Valentines.
Thank you.
I've never crocheted anything other than chains but really wanted to do this. It was so easy to follow and lovely to listen to. Thank you!
This is the first crochet tutorial I've followed that made me gasp with how easy it was to follow, ive been crocheting for less than a month and this video made me smile so big! I am so proud of myself I made it on the first try and your video is to thank for that! So thank you!!!
I will give this a go.. but I find it really hard to know where to put the hook in.. will look at your other videos though
I love this pattern. Very easy to follow. I switched colors for the second row and it can out awesome!
I just picked up crocheting again after years of not touching it, and I'm happy to report my heart is only a tad wonky, thanks to this great video! Nice soothing voice, clear instruction and good pacing. Thank you!!
The fact that she still responds to comments when this vid is made 4 years ago means she clearly works very hard and is wonderful!
Thank you 😊
