Since I only menu plan a week at a time it is pretty easy for me to remember what I have planned for meals that week, but it is easy to get to if I need a reminder which is great. Hope you are doing great. Nikki

Jeannette so happy you like the system and can use it. LOL, now you know you put a smile on the face with the meal planning "incentive" We only tip on base because they do bag and take our groceries to the car and load them and the baggers only work for tips. Nikki, this video came at a perfect stage in my life. I am a relatively new empty nester, and have found that my shopping planning skills have flown out the window! When my kids were home I did a faithful weekly shop, knew what we were having every night for dinner, stuck to a budget, never ran out of milk (ha;) etc, and now, it's kind of like the need for structure is gone or something, I don't know, but I'm taking the ball (or list;) and running with it! Thanks for the inspiration!

LOL! I shop at the commissary which is the grocery store on the military base and they still bag your groceries and take them to your car and load your car. They work for tips only. So happy you enjoyed the video. Hope your off to a fabulous weekend my friend. Nikki

I like that cookbook also. I have had it for years. You know menu planning is so rewarding and beneficial in so many ways if we can just make ourselves do it. That has been my big challenge. With this new system of doing it I am hoping I will stay motivated to continue to do it. So far so good :).

This vid came at the right time!...I never menu plan and find myself frustrated and raiding the fridge when I am hungry...but then not being satisfied on what I ate...I do love structure and I find this way of preparation extremely helpful!...Thanks Nikki your great!

Nikki!!! This was such a wonderful video! I'm a college student, but I benefit so much from all of your content on both channels. I like how you give out clear ideas that I can make my own and you're so transparent. I don't know if you already have done this, but I would love to see how you set up other budgets. I am currently saving up for a car, car insurance, and an emergency plan, but I'm working on paying myself first and not feeling like I have a bad habit because I'm enjoying myself.

I spend way too much time on planning breakfast & lunch also. I can just keep common items in the pantry and maybe a list of ideas to rotate for those meals. That will save so much time. I love your sweet spirit and amazing ability to simplify household tasks. You have blessed me.
This is fantastic! I had fallen into a rut with my meal planning (family of 5!) and this has given me something to start working with again. Hi Nikki. First let me tell you that I love your videos!! I implemented your meal planning system in my household 3 weeks ago. I LOVE IT. It has saved me money, time and stress just like you mentioned. After I finish shopping for the week I hang the plan on the refrigerator so that the family will know what's for dinner that night or maybe even help get things started while I'm at work (that has not happened yet...but here's hoping). Something my mom always did, and sort of ended up doing myself when menu planning; utilize your Sunday Paper Coupons and see what's on sale. That will save money as well. Or if you don't feel like paying for the paper, you could go to a coupon site and print them out.

Hahah the Snickers Bars... "Nikki, take me home.." .... "So I had to take them home!" I could not tell you how many times I have done that. This whole video was SO helpful, I'm going to try to adapt this into my shopping routine. A lot of the times we shop it's "winging it" and it's really a great way to go over-budget! I menu plan everything on my phone but after seeing your system I think I might I do this because it's so cute and organized or I don't know I just like to see paper and notebooks (you are super organized and have a lot going on but its so nice!!!)

You are such an inspiration! I always have good intensions but for years have had a very unpredictable schedule, so I usually stop by the store on the way home from work with just a mental list. I've wanted to be fancy all the time & have menu plans, but I tend to only "plan" when I'm expecting company. Thanks for the pretty template. Perhaps having a foo-foo sheet to help inspire me will give me the kick in the seat I need to be a little more on top of things. You set a wonderful example. TFS!
