Putting three coronation starscreams to one sludge implies Hasbro honestly thinks more people are going to want to by the starscream over a goddamn dinobot
I think it's more that the Starscreams are cheaper to make, so Hasbro really wants to try and Gouge people for the money.
I honestly love this figure looks really great and unique,the design is really cool to be honest especially the cool looking visor,the alt mod is great,i think this toy looks even great next to wreck gar

It does look great next to Wreckgar, but I don't know if that's a visor, so much as it's a pair of Shades.
3:55 I can. Starscream in g1 is probably left handed, considering he shot with megatron's gun mode with his left hand. Armada starscream mostly uses his left hand for his wing blade. And beast wars megatron ONLY has a left hand, not including his transmetal forms. And you can technically consider any playable character from Fall of Cybertron to be left handed if you only played with the left side shooting.
I mean he did that in the movie, but I don't think that was consistent, Armada Starscream does not predate this character, but yeah I guess he would be an example of a left.
once I saw you can have Wreck-gar ride him, I immediately pre ordered. He showed up last week and dear lord does it look so cool to see Wreck-gar going full Mad Max mode on my shelf!
Yeah, I just wish it felt a little bigger in comparison with Wreckgar.

@@PerspectiveEnd It's partly a money saver and partly because the transformation is what primarily attracts me to transformers. Repaints never feel "new" to me.

This is definitely a nice voyager figure that is worth the price. Hopefully the 3rd retool is just as if not better for a solid trio of figures.

Honestly, I don't like buying repaints or many retools, but DAAAM, this guy is awsome. I really wanna get this, but if I do, I will want a group of Junkions. My wallet could do with loosing a few pounds I suppose...

I'm very surprised to see the January 2023 studio series line in stock on BBTS oh and the spikes on my Wreck Gar still haven't bent yet.
The Spikes on Wreckgar don't bend, they either come bent by the packaging or they are fine.
As for this being intended for 2023, man I've seen these on shelves at Target, so I don't know about that.

Im really excited for the upcoming studio series stuff. I’ve been having a lot of fun with galvatron and already ordered arcee due to how great she looks. I’m so hyped to see how the fallen turns out, I always loved his design even if it is weird.

I like how to train your dragon, but that has very little to do with Vikings. Like yes they are Vikings and all but Vikings as a whole are what's overrated.
I just got the buzzworthy bumblebee “heroic maximal dinobot” and despite the box literally calling him a maximal, his instructions sheet has the predacon symbol

I appreciate your take on SS '86 Junkheap. I think he's pretty dope, myself. I think the Junkion color scheme is spot on for the period, though. Orange, yellow, and brown were extremely popular in the 80s, at least here in the South. Restaurants, arcades, shopping malls, car dealerships, and movie theaters, were all slathered in healthy amounts of orange, yellow, and brown paint, tiles, and carpet. There was always a healthy dose of veneer wall paneling, too. The movie theater where I saw The Transformers: The Movie was brand new in the summer of '86, and it had orange carpet in the aisles, orange aisle lights, orange and gold screen curtains, and even orange and brown acoustic panels. It was like Reese's: the Movie Theater. Great vid, though! This Junkheap really is a nice figure!

@@PerspectiveEnd You are most welcome. Yep, I actually saw it in the theater. I had never seen the cartoon at that point. We only had four channels on an antenna back then. The Marvel comic was my sole source of Transformers media until I heard about the movie. I was beyond stoked to see it. At the time, I had no idea there was any kind of animation at all. I loved and still do love that movie. Optimus' death was sad, but seeing the new characters and all the other characters I loved "alive" and moving on the big screen was such a thrill that I guess the dopamine kept me from thinking about it too much.
Re: the orange theater, it was brand new in 1986, with new orange and brown deco. It opened right around the time school let out that year, so May 1986. Speaking of flops, I saw Howard the Duck with my cousin at that same theater the weekend before Transformers. Not a flop, but also interesting is that sometime around Thanksgiving or Christmas that year my parents took me there to see Disney's Song of the South. It re-released that year for the Holidays. What a different time it was.
I mean the colors do mimic a rusty junkheap (no pun intended) so the garishness does make sense.

Question, could Beast Megs be considered left-handed? I mean, it's not as if the mouth of a t-rex is great for handling things, and he can abandon his lance/bazooka/tail to have his left hand free.

Oh... Huh... Ok so that's just another picture of Flamewar... I must have accidentally duplicated the layer and shrunken it down some how.
They probably had the budget for it as most of the mold forms could've been reused from wreckgar. So it's become more beneficial, even considering the paint, to do rather this than a new mold.
But what do I know
If this is what they can do with retools then what the hell, Why aren't they doing this more often.

in the first 17 seconds of the bumblebee movie only arcee prime wheeljack and one seeker are right handed which means all the main autobots other than those 3 and bee are left handed.
I mean this character existed first though, dating back to G1. I will have to look back on that scene to see if those other characters are all left handed though.

@@PerspectiveEnd I actually saved cash due to cancelling mmc whirl and roadbuster because I already have the hasbro versions and my fee was turned into BBTS store credit so I actually reduced my haul and saved a good bit, but still pricey but not as much as it would be if I kept the original haul.
Calling salt a spice is the most white thing that has ever been said. But to be fair vikings had salt, in fact they had waaaay to much salt because they preserved everything in salt

Horned helmet reminds me of "Kill The Wabbit!" I suppose Stampy would serve as the Bugs equivalent in that scenario. Rabbit robots are a rarity in TF.

In the IDW comics Blast Off was confirmed to be left handed by one of the artist. The comic in question was Till All Are One.
Interesting, didn't know that. Still this character predates that interpretation of Blast off.

I prefered Coronation Starscream over Sludge. My Starscream may have been unlucky and had the wing issue (4th time with the mould and this is the first time I have had to deal with it) but the rest of the QC was on point. Cannot say the same about Sludge the floppy mess. The Dinobots have gone down in quality since Grimlock and Sludge has been the worst so far with stupidly loose and easily popped off back wings that heavily block posing, but ratchets and joints looser than a wet noodle. Starscream was worth more money than Sludge. If you need him, wait till a 50% off sale.

But Comics are are like 3 to 4 dollars an issue, so 5 dollar weaponizer plus comic is 30 not 40.

I’m still struggling to figure out what the “Controversial opinion” in this video. This figure looks really good, all the 86 junkions look amazing, and I love the love hasbro has been giving the junkions as of late. As soon as I watched the 86 movie for the first time last year, the junkions and Wreck-gar especially became some of my favorites. So glad I picked up 86 Wreck-Gar on your recommendation. Also, I fucking loved the 86 movie. Such gorgeous animation, a fun and fast moving plot that doesn’t over stay its welcome, some phenomenal voice acting, and some great new characters like Hot Rod, Kup, Magnus, Arcee, Springer, and Galvatron. Funny how IDW managed to make most of those guys fan favorites.
It's two things. 1 People were sure this thing was going to suck.
2 It's the thing about Vikings not being all that cool.
And yes the 86 Movie is a FEAST for the eyes.

No they just didn't think it was going to feel different enough. They were kind of viewing it as a Seeker Situation, where it's not a Seeker, so it wasn't going to feel Justified.

Man I've been eyeing this figure for a while now and finally bit the bullet when I found one in person at game stop, and it is now my favorite figure.
it just feels bigger than it is and I have no idea why, he's almost exactly the same size as SS bee soundwave but he feels like he's a head taller despite not being that at all. Also I just adore the shitty horns my favorite trash Viking

I recently got the old generations version of this guy and i quite like him, especially the part where he's literally just legacy crashbar but older and cheaper and bigger and better. Still have yet to purchase this mould but i doubt ill have to pay too much since nobody else bought this specific toy.

I have had some of the worst luck with new figures, I see tons of bulkheads and arcees, which I already have bulkhead and I’m passing on Arcee. I haven’t found a single blaster (which is my most wanted figure of legacy) I got lucky toy colors terrorsaur with dragstrip and now I’m buying the stunticons just cause I can’t find anybody, I only saw laser prime once and I didn’t have the money for him at the time so now he’s gone. No sludges, no kickbacks, nothing. Why is distribution so bad

And yeah SLUDGE is IMPOSSIBLE to find.

If I had to choose between Junkheap and Wreck Gar, which, in your opinion, should I go for? And don't take character into account, just on the basis of toys
That's a hard call to make, cause the Junkheap altmode is better at hodling together, but the transformation is a little worse. But otherwise it really just boils down to aesthetic. It's probably more important to get a Wreckgar, but neither one is a bad choice.
I wonder if the next Junkion will be a mix of this guy and Wreckgar with a new head?
Quite possibly. Though the next one that was announced was going to be a deluxe so we will see what that means.
I got half way through shooting my review for this guy when I had wave two of legacy roll up. I'll defs finish him at some point but got too excited by new bots. I do think he's pretty dope. I hope they had one more head sculpted and then the body could be a mix of his and wreckgars parts to achieve a reasonably different third dude.
I fully expect an army at this point.
Gotta chase those trending figures.

For me it’s 38.99, which includes a pretty much £25 figure (exclusive repaint), a £6 weapon master and a variant cover which I noticed usually go for £6-£7. Altogether it basically comes to the price they’re charging
Usually comics go in the US for 4 dollars, and 25 is not the price of a Deluxe over here quite yet. More like 22.
@@PerspectiveEnd variant covers usually cost a little extra than the basic covers and exclusive/exclusive repaints usually cost slightly extra on their own like the velocitron stuff is slightly more than the regular devices
I thought exclusives having their prices jacked up would have been mentioned with SG ultra Magnus since here in tea mad part of Britain, England he's priced at £60 when leaders are usually £50
I mean 60 isn't that bad when you consider Flamewar was DOUBLED. I just look at the 10 bucks as the price for the extra head which I want more than the Weaponizer.
I went to my local store yesterday and found a legacy Metroplex I went a bought it without a day or two of thinking about it and I just wanted a titan figure i dont have any. I am having both buyers remores and the other one that make you find ways that it was a good choice at the same time. Was it a good decision or am I just dumb for doing it.
I mean that remains to be see, it depends how much enjoyment you get out of it in the long run.
Life is too precious for petty regrets. buy it, enjoy it, keep it/sell it, give it away. In another 10 years, your main concern is how to make room for more cool toys.

Beast wars megatron and revenge of the fallen megatron are probably left handed since those are the only hands that have fingers for them, but then again, when bw megatron got his dragon mode his hand was on the right side so maybe he's ambidextrous, or he is right handed and he spent all the first season in suffering

I’m once again, I appreciate your review, always a unique perspective. I was a big fan of the older Reveal the Shield Junkion mold and I’m loving my shelf with all those older figures next to these voyagers. There’s a lot of variety among each of the sculpts so it really looks like there’s a full community/family of Junkions now.

Mongolian head. Cool cyber shields.
And Junkheap's body looks like Mongolian armor. For the most part, he's a Mongol robot. AKA very sad cause he has mandatory partsforming and I don't want him.
But no one can display their full Mongol pride without the horse, especially if it's for a traditional thing. These horses were a big reason why Mongols were so strong in the past, they were famous for their mounted archers. And horses have been extremely valuable in Mongolia for a long time, even before Genghis Khan was born. Horses are that important in Mongolian culture. That's why we still need a Mongolian looking guy who turns into a horse. And wielding a bow I guess.
This guy's like a modern Mongolian. Like he rides his horse for hunting and racing only and he uses the motorbike for everything else cause he realizes that motorbikes travel even further and faster than his strong warrior horse. And he might fit well in The Hu band.
But I just wanna see the bigger 86 Ratchet's glorious visage and find out if he's actually a voyager.
I'm not saying that people are overhyping Legacy Cosmos. I just want him so much. And he's got a pretty intuitive and easy transformation. I'm crazy excited. Crazy thrilled.
I'm ready to buy TR Triggerhappy. Not sure if my dad is in the right mood though, he's been in a real bad mood for the last few days (I basically only have E-Money so I have to ask my dad to buy it). Maybe I can get him in time for your channel anniversary.
The partforming is a little disconcerting, but it does still feel like they tried so hard with this.

G1 is probably left-handed because how is he gonna get anything done with that giant Fusion Cannon knocking everything over? And Beast Megs is *DEFINITELY* left-handed because his right hand is a TRex head. *Boom.*
I mean he has the Fusion cannon attached to his right arm because that's what feels like what's natural to shoot with.
And I think you are forgetting that when BW Megatron got his Transmetal form he switched what his dominant hand was, so it wasn't so much his handedness but a disability preventing him before.

At any rate, you asked for a pointedly left-handed Transformer, and Beast Megs in season 1 is undeniably so. His potential hand-dominance change in season 2 and guaranteed change in season 3 don't change that he was originally left handed

This also shows that *when they want to*, Hasbro can put out greatness. Remember the Deluxe class Reveal the Shield Wreck-Gar? Cool figure, but the Generations Junkheap we got outta THAT? Aside from the new noggin, that thing was a straight up repaint of that Wreck-Gar. Still a cool figure, but it did next to nothing to differentiate itself from its predecessor. The SS86 version, however, goes super hard, as it was meant to do. Now the abysmally hard part: finding them sumbitches. How hard is it? Well...
1. I lucked out on SS86-10 Sweep because I NEVER saw SS86-5 Scourge in stores at all. (I passed on SS86-1 Jazz, passed on the first run SS86-2 Kup but got the Buzzworthy reissue, got SS86-3 Blurr and hate it, and got SS86-4 Hot Rod.)
2. I never saw SS86-6 Grimlock, SS86-7 Slag, SS86-8 Gnaw, SS86-9 Wreck-Gar, or SS86-11 Perceptor in stores, either.
3. SS86-12 Coronation Starscream brings all the bad comedy. Shelfwarming like hell. Just clearance the McBastard already...
4. SS86-13 Cliffjumper was supposed to be in the same wave of Buzzworthy Bumblebee as the repainted SS86-2 Kup...never saw Cliffjumper (fine cuz I already have Earthrise), but got Kup cuz he was the cheapest option. A dollar cheaper than the first SS86 run, and way less than aftermarket prices on Titans Return Kup & LG46 Targetmaster Kup.
5. No sign of SS86-14 Junkheap, SS86-15 Sludge, or SS86-16 Arcee, either. 😒

Like a chug Figure, or what? Cause if we are talking MP scaled then the Deformation Space one is great, but otherwise there haven't been that many great Seeker molds in the Chug Scale.
You could go for the Siege Tetrajet one which is cool, but doesn't have the classic altmode.

I know everyone loves this thing but I have the wreck gar and I hate that thing with a passion, I want to like it but it just feels so off to me, doesn't help that the inner wheel rims over time now like to just come out of the actual tyre when I pull the wheels off for transformation

It's the yellow rim parts are coming out of the grey tyre section every time I pull it off the arm or leg as is required for transformation, and they're hard to line up correctly again and even when I do that I can hear the parts rattling around together, it's just such a shame, I would glue it but I'm the type of person who hates modding their stuff even if realistically it would be helpful, I can send you pictures in an email if you want? I've transformed it maybe less than 20-30 times and I'm quite careful with my figures so I'm not sure why it's decided to do that but oh well 🤷♀️

I can't wait for Flamewar, I've been waiting for a figure of that character for so long, and I like the included battlemaster and don't mind the 40 dollar price point, it is Shattered Glass after all.

3. They chose the weakest of the battlemaster molds to pack into it. (I have the one that comes with Jackpot and it is nothing special)

Its a shame because Flamewar is a badass character whos only had hard-to-find Botcon figures (besides a legion class prime toy) that I and many other people really wanted a toy of but they handled her release so horribly that I'll probably never be able to get her nor do I want to shell out double the price for her. Im better off buying another Legacy Arcee and trying to paint her
