- If you can't find the salt level when going through the settings of your Hayward Aqua Rite salt system... you very well could be in metric mode. Here's how to get out of it, and to find your salt level.

I get this same call a lot Also the 500 hr inspect cell light reminder that clears by holding the diagnostic button down. Easy $ I suppose. Even when I explain it most clients can't get it figured out and end up changing the cell type and screw everything up. This video is very helpful for them.
Yea the inspect cell light freaks people out for some reason. Even after explaining it’s built into the system and doesn’t mean that something is wrong. 😑

My Circcupool controller was displaying HOT and water temp of 194, which I assume is max. I ordered a potentiometer kit for about $8 on amazon. I decided to prep for the potentiometer install by carefully cutting away the cable insulation and cutting the red and blue wires. I decided to check display with nothing connected, my potentiometer kit arrives tomorrow, and discovered the controller has a default of 82 degrees. Everything is functioning perfectly now, should I install the pot?
If it seems to be working I would let it be.

My panel shows zero salt. Why is that? Water temp 83. Tried multiple resets....nothing works. Help.
That more than likely means either the cell or board is faulty. How old is the system?

I know Cathy I’m sorry about that. It’s one of those videos that I wish I would have done differently. All you have to do is (very quickly) hit the diagnostic button once then flip the toggle from auto to superchlorinate and then back to auto. That should switch from metric to standard. I accidentally switched into metric mode and didn't know it. Called Hayward for help and got no help. Thank you! This fixed my problem.
