I was so happy with 17.4 version on my iPhone 15. And 2 days ago I updated to 17.5.1 and now I'm regretting as hell, my iPhone is heating like a hot pan along with the battery draining problem. VERY DISAPPOINTING 😠
I heard it still hasn’t fixed the battery issue which is why I still won’t update. Still on iOS 17.3

i updated mine and now my phone is horrible now my battery can be fully charged then after like 8 min it power off then went i turn it on its at 12% so now i gotta keep on the charger everytime apple just scamming u

I decided to ignore all the bad comments and updated my iPhone and so far it’s been working fine.
After updating ios 17.5.1 my iPhone 15plus , my battery health became 100% to 99%. In total my charging cycles are 26. Expecting your opinion.

This update just killed the Bluetooth. Now, my iPhone 14pro Bluetooth becomes unavailable.
My iPhone 13 is still stucked in the jungle of iOS 16.5.1 am afraid upgrading it to the latest iOS versions.
Same I don’t update it and I came to see videos to see if I should update it, but my IPhone 15 pro max doesn’t perform as it should be for the price and the phone itself, battery goes down fast, fails to react quick and bugs, strange things like switching itself off or hanging up calls and weird things occur which this phone😮
The battery thing is a sensitive issue. I’m not taking the risk and updating
Battery life is horrible on 6 month old 14 pro max! On iOS 17.5.1, it was actually better on 17.5 charged every other day. 17.5.1 100% in the morning I’m not a heavy user by 5:00 it’s at 20%. 80 percent of the day phone sits idle. Not a setting issue as 17.5.1 it started it’s a software issue! Horriblely frustrating.

Same here 14 pro max. What a dud phone. iOS 16 and 17 both inconsistent with 17.5.1 worse performing in battery life.
15 Pro Max here. Battery is at 100% in the morning (phone in use starting around 5:00 am) by 5:00 pm I’m at about 65-70%, and I use the phone all day. This is either 17.5.1. Battery life is excellent!

After upgrading to 17.5.1 my iPhone 14 Pro max battery percentage dropped again from 83 percent to 82 percent. Waiting for it to drop to 80 percent before September 2024 so Apple will pay for a new battery while still under AppleCare. Please keep screwing things up Apple.

Weird, my refurbished iPhone 13 Pro Max, that I bought 2 and half years ago is at 95%. Not a heavy user though, so that may explain some...

There is nothing wrong with a battery health decrease after an update. The system calibrâtes the battery again.
My battery usage is only showing 24 hours the last 10 day option is not showing what’s the problem ?

After all the negative and some few positive comments on iOS 17.5.1 I decided to ignore them and update my iPhone as well. And it’s been about an hour and I am experiencing normal performance. I haven’t noticed anything bad so far.

In 15 pro max battery life is good after 17.5.1. Less heating issue and battery is holding well. Cycle count 101 and battery health 100%

I've an iPhone 15 pro with IOS 17.6, I'm not a heavy user, usually my battery last 3 days. But with IOS 17 and so on, it's only 1 day an a half ? No, the battery issue is not solved.

I had great battery improvements on 17.5 and updating to 17.5.1 is so terrible
So far, the only issue I had with 17.5.1 was when I was unable to lock my device. This happened just once, and could not replicate it. Don't know if anyone else faced the same issue

Don’t worry. Happen’s sometimes when RAM is usually full. Just force restart your phone once and it’d stop. (Search how to, you’ll find)

This update is the WORST thing apple released, there are tons of others myself included, apps freezing, screen freezing, while typing on keyboard other letters would come up. example if I typed a P I'd get a s instead.. slide to type was off, I double checked it was off 17.5 was perfect.. I can't even use check for updates says unable to check for updates a error has occurred. DONT UPDATE!!

I’m having issues with standby where the clock freezes at a certain time or switches to photos on its own. Other than that it’s been really good. This is on my 15 pro max btw.
My XS has surely stabilized, no heating issues anylonger and my battery is better plus no bugs sofar
