Herb Glidewell Receives Expert Burn Care at Doctors Hospital of Augusta

When HCA Healthcare patient and United States Marine Corps veteran Herb Glidewell, was on vacation with his family in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, he sustained third degree burns across 30% of his body following a cooking accident. To ensure Herb received the highest level of burn care possible, he was transferred to the JMS Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia. Throughout Herb's hospital journey, including numerous surgeries, skin grafts and a 21-day stay in the burn intensive care unit (ICU), his burn care team provided him with innovative burn care in a nurturing and compassionate environment.
