Her process of generalization of the word went like: LITTER = clean up the litter box ➡️ using the litter box (aka "poop" or "pee") ➡️ an excrement-related expletive. We only modeled the first meaning, the rest was all Fog. It is strikingly not unusual for AIC learners to use their "poop" word as a swear word!

And after all those nice things I said about her! Litter is definitely the feline favourite swear word. Foggy, wash your mouth out with Churus! 😂❤
She would be VERY happy to wash her mouth out with Churus.... 😂
I think Koko the Gorilla did swear first ;-)
But yes, Litter is used for that, too ;-)
I think at Catmanjohn you can see Russel swearing cat, too ;-)
Interesting is that swearing on cats, gorillas and humans the topic of swearing is similar.
I find it absolutely *fascinating* that it seems like every AIC learner gets to the point of creating their own swear words eventually. I would have thought that swearing was a human concept. And especially that it seems like some version of $#!+ 💩 is a pretty universal curse!
And dogs… some dogs seem to enjoy poop, but Puppy Parker Posey uses it as a swear word… a lot! 😱
@@CrepuscularChaot So assume aliens come to earth, stumble and..."sweaer" with *beep* Bodily excrement *beep*...
It seems that swearing is kind of universal to all animals...and maybe the first thing SETI receives is "*crackle* Who created that ***** connector...do you think they can hear us now? *crackle*
i wonder how many generations it's going to take with those pads until the cats actually just understand human speech it's gonna be wild in like 50 years.
Wow this is pretty neat!!❤
Yes! A new (to me) talking kitty.
Welcome! Glad you found us.
Really, what if I just want to say "meow"?
