Yeah and then they got rid of him like they do/did all their good players except Ben the two time rapists. I used to rock with them but after this and then how they managed to let A.B and Bell go in the same year basically was enough for me. Those two moves giving Carolina 4 defensive players to start their franchise off with was some of the worse decisions they made.

Holmes may not have had a HOF career but if there was a Pittsburgh HOF he’d be first ballet. Me and my friends spent years recreating this catch in the backyard. Dude put up the greatest drive of his life to win us the Super Bowl.
People forget two things: first, it wasn't just the final catch, it was also the amazing drive before the catch. The near-sacks and amazing catches before the final catch were spectacular. Second, it was only 2nd down with plenty of time left on the clock. If that catch wasn't made, we could have still won. Regardless, it was probably the finest catch Holmes made and one of the most precision throws Ben ever threw.
Zero timeouts. The clock adds a ton of pressure. It don’t matter how you look at it. This drive was clutch.
