I have passed my driving test in Tottenham on 18/10/23. As you mentioned, there are plenty of narrow roads and the speed limits keeps on changing everywhere in Tottenham. Great video. You are a star.
Did my driving test today in Tottenham and passed with four minors. A van cut me off unexpectedly and sharply who was turning right and I was going straight ahead. The examiner got angry honked at him and tried to hold the steering wheel with me as I had to emergency brake. I managed to stay calm and continue as it was the start of my test. Traffic was heavy and impatient. Tottenham is a tricky place to do your test but it’s definitely doable. Good luck everyone😊

@@DrivingSchoolTV yes, I was completely shocked, but that van well deserved the frustration from both of us🤣 Examiner probably had a long day already and wasn’t haven’t have it anymore knowing Tottenham drivers.

@@JoshX249 No, he didn’t but there are many test routes and you might be taken there so I would say practice as much as you can

I normally don't comment on videos, but I completely agree with you about the area, passed my test last year, bought a car, stalled at red light and took a few seconds to get it up and running again, next thing you know, the person behind me drives up besides me hurling and shouting abuse ready to get out the car and start a fist fight, and I just thought, you know what, is it really risk both of us going to the hospital if we really got stuck in over a stalled car.. Seriously.. this area..

Wow you went to Tottenham and didn't do the great Cambridge roundabout! Doing my test here in 2 days. Watched this video a couple times already. A lot of the roads you drive on here, I haven't practiced on at all... like from minute 8 where you go straight at the lights (usually go left here) until close to the end. I just hope I don't get these roads on test.. Thanks a lot for this video and all your videos. I love watching your mock tests, love your energy makes it so fun to watch!

How did your test go??
I have driven through Tottenham plenty of times and I can confirm there's a lot of mad drivers, you just gotta have patience and be safe; I'm currently doing driving lessons in Wood Green but I've been to Tottenham as well and sometimes I get overtaken when I'm already doing the speed limit in a 20 zone or tailgated like it's a competition 😳🤣
Oh don’t you know, those 20 signs are apparently actually minimums, they just ran out of the blue versions(!)
But seriously I’ve actually passed some time ago, yet any time I keep the speed limit, people love to overtake me as if I’m crazy. I generally don’t mind, if you want to take that risk that’s fine by me, but the worst ones are when they tailgate you and overtake dangerously 🙄

I took my test there 2 days ago and I passed first try. Around the hospital Quite surprinsingly is actually a 30 road not a 20 but you can’t actually go to 30 with all the hazards. And coming that Edmonton Green roundabout is easy af but I stalled at the red light coming off by the station😭😭
I have my test here in 4 days. Tottenham residents are often angry like with overtaking and honking at learners. The test routes are also tricky with a lot of parked cars, narrow roads etc. I’m nervous but praying it all goes well and I get my license.

Not too confident 😩. Definitely angry drivers in Tottenham. Too many roads with meeting situations, parked cars on both sides, tight turns, Mini roundabouts and not to mention the VERY bumpy speed bumps right at the beginning 🙄 but it’s not impossible

Hey thanks for the video! have learnt so much about this test route! Would you kindly give the details that you put in the sat nav to get the correct route? This would be SUPER helpful as I am visiting Tottenham Test centre on my Driving lessons with an instructor from a different area... This was the only centre I could secure a test in this year... luckily not too far away!

Nooo way now is the worst time to give up. When you've spent time and effort learning something, you can actually do it and you got a little knock back. More driving test dates are being released 8am on Monday. Be FIRST in the queue!!!

Hi Francis, at 18:26 wouldn’t it be considered a minor for not indicating left whilst exiting the mini roundabout or is it not needed although you could’ve indicated.My instructor tells me to try indicating left whilst exiting if it’s possible to do so.
Treat a mini roundabout like a crossroads in terms of signalling. If you're turning right signal right, going straight don't signal. And you don't need to signal off it, you won't be penalised for it if you do though. Hope that helps 😊
Can you do chingford test route ?

Chingford test route is mostly residential, mini roundabouts and country lanes. It’s definitely on the charts for one most difficult test centres. And not many UA-cam videos cover the area so definitely a niche to look into !!

There are roughly 15 routes at any test centre

At 18:57 would the examiner mark you down for coming onto the roundabout despite the other car? Or is that fine because they were in the wrong and it means you weren't hesitating?
No because he is suppose to give way to the right

Good question. On your test you're supposed to be able to deal with whatever is in front of you. If another car makes an error you're supposed to be able to think quickly enough to make sure you, and everyone around you, is still safe. So if I had ploughed into that car that made an error I would definitely still fail my test even though I had priority lol

Had my test here today and failed. I’m so gutted. Got 2 majors. I was nervous and put off from the start as he asked for the manouver straight away and I didn’t get to feel less nervous as I would of if I was able to drive around for a bit first. There were many people watching. I don’t want to give up but I’m not sure if there’s a point to continue. I feel like I will never pass at this test centre right now.
There is a huuuuge point in continuing Phoebe! If you've taken a driving test you've come a long way through lots of driving lessons and learned LOADS. you've also spent lots of time and money on learning a life skill! The driving test is just a small bit at the end of your learning journey. Just having taken it you've achieved a very big important milestone and I'm sure learned a lot from it. If you were nervous work on that and bay parking with your instructor and come back stronger and more ready to pass next time. All the hard work and effort is already behind you. You just have to complete a little 35 minute drive and you get a driving license for LIFE!

This deffo helped me feel better, I’ve been trying to rebook all these months and been unlucky due to the government restrictions but hopefully one day I’ll have the courage and the chance to re book it. It’s annoying there’s a pandemic or I recon I would’ve been able to re do my test by now
The manoeuvre was reverse bay parking in the test centre. I’m actually confident with this but was asked to do it straight away at the start of my lesson infront of other learners who were waiting to start their test. This really put me off. Also, the test route was different and more challenging than the one in the video as the examiner had me go onto the A10 Dual carriageway straight away. Overall my experience felt very intense and I didn’t ease into it. Usually my driving instructor lets me ease into it by driving on normal roads then going onto the dual carriageway and parking after already driving for a while. I am not used to doing those things right at the start when I turn the engine on. But I guess this is something I need to work on, it just increased my anxiety and I would’ve been more calm and probably passed if I was eased into it. Then again. I guess the more people that fail, the more money they get because I’m capable of driving perfectly without being under test conditions and surveillance. ✨
