- In this episode, we go from the comfort of our own homes (mine in Collingwood Ontario, Canada, and Carol's in Bonanza, Oregon, USA), and the comfort of our home trails, to the rugged beauty of the East Coast Trail, located on the edge of the Avalon Peninsula Newfoundland. This hike is NOT for the faint of heart, or the weak of knees!
Great video Linda. The ECT is on my list for next season. I am enjoying your introductions of the people you meet and their stories. It is amazing the people you meet out there.
I hope you get the great weather that we did, as the terrain an be completely different (muddy/slippery/dangerous) in wet weather! Yes, the people were wonderful!
Great videos. Looking forward to more.
Thanks for following!
Love watching your adventures, Linda. Thank you so much for taking us along!
@loriloignon-uprichard4525 Thanks so much for watching!
Grateful that you’ve captured your adventures mom, so proud of you. ❤
Great start. Can’t wait to watch the rest on this rainy afternoon
BIG BIG Like #8 Linda….the East Coast Trail is quite an adventure! ENJOY!
Thanks for watching!
The views are amazing aren’t they? I was just at The East Coast Trail in Pouch Cove a week ago! Full Watch and Full Support. If you see Freebie….stop by for a chat!
Would love to, but we are each back in our hometowns on opposite sides of the continent. Really appreciate your comments though - thanks!
Thank you, great video. I did this part to Pouch Cove a few years ago as a test of my set up. I plan to do the ECT next year but starting in Cappahayden. Better chance to get my hiking legs starting from that end.
Thanks for watching, and wishing you pain-free hiking legs, and happy trails!
Welcome to Newfounland! 😊
I just moved here from Toronto at beginning of August. I've only managed to have time to do one day hike on the ECT so far, and it kicked my butt! I'm guessing the section will be in your next video, I think.
Enjoy!
Yea, it's amazing what level of difficulty they hike just as a casual "day-hike" out there! (I'm all done, and resting comfortably back in Collingwood now.:))
