Great musician, great Multi-instrumentalist, time breaking jazz organ player and he. was a great person also! you are a legend, Rest In Peace Joey! your great music will be with us forever
What a mess these commercial interruptions in the middle of the performance! You guys are great, I've been following you for a long time, could avoid commercializing such a beautiful video so abruptly! Thank you
When you are already amazed beyond words at Joey D playing organ....but THEN you hear him play trumpet AND sax !!! WTF??? His early departure touched me deeply...
Saw Joey at Jazz Alley with David Sanborn. I was devastated when heard about his death. I’ll remember him for the rest of my life. He’ll truly be missed! RIP Joey
I had the privilege of seeing Joey almost 30 years ago with John McLaughlin and Dennis Chambers at the American Music Hall in San Francisco. This was my introduction to Jazz and the ultimate live experience. God rest your precious soul Joey. Heaven is real and God is good.
So did KNKX release this session a day after Joey died? I had the pleasure of sitting and eating sushi and sushimi at the Bonaventure Double Tree with Joey for a whole evening. What a great guy. May God Bless and Keep His Soul, Mind, Body and Talent. One of a kind.
John DeMetrio: John is one of the greatest supporters of Jazz in the Country. He has sacrificed so much, kept his Club operating thru every economic condition in the Northwest. I know John personally loved Joey and brought him to town as often as he could. He helped him gain exposure doing all he could. There are many Hammond Players but only one Joey. Innovative kind and respected by his compatriots. He has gone to that huge keyboard design center in the sky. Many we’re just getting to know his work and let him shine on. In Seattle/ Northwest you have Mr. Demetrio to thank. RIP Joey!!

We just cleaned up the ad breaks, they were placed automatically. They are now in-between the songs.
Thanks for watching!

How lucky we were to have had Joey DeFrancesco sharing his time on earth with us in his extraordinary way. A gift from above.

He died?! Wtf! RIP king.
Another great one gone too soon.
Nord split program.
I don't think there's anything he couldn't do musically
Saxophonist NOT SO MUCH
He was better than most saxophonists just by virtue of what he knows about music.
RIP
