Hi Mari, now this is definitely a favourite video for me. If I am not mistaken, that tram is an ex-Melbourne W2 class. We have restaurant trams here, though they have been replaced in the last few years with later models. What happened to our older ones? Well, it looks like you may have them over there. Was the food expensive on the tram? The food on restaurant trams here can be quite pricy. Anyway, take care. Robert.

What a great way to see the city and have a lovely dinner! Seen the tram in a couple of your videos, so cool to get to see it properly and the restaurant part of it :) I've been to Helsinki several times, and Koff has a beer/bar tram that takes you around the city, nice and fun way to see Hki. Not the first tramcar restaurant. Melbourne's Colonial Tramcar Restaurant started service more than a quarter-century ago.

I can remember doing the Restaurant Tram in Christchurch several times before the 2011 quakes when there was something to see along the circuit besides graffiti, ruined buildings and shipping container shops. So sad, so long ago and still not much done unlike Japan... they actually rebuilt really quickly after their earthquakes.
The city is actually coming along quite nicely! I think it's cool to see the progress and the innovative things that have come from it :)
I don't know, but I am guessing you didn't live in Christchurch before and through the quakes. Many of us who did don't share your rose coloured optimism. See if you still hold the same views several years from now after the next BIG one and after you lose everything you hold dear.
