Consider this, Quo have just finished the 2024 European tour and UK all 32 venues were sold out, a band that started in the early '60s and has toured every year from the beginning, what other band could match that.

Well, Cabaret QUO took a break from Touring during COVID and they haven't been
STATUS QUO since Coghlan and Lancaster left the Band in the 80's.

@@alanstrom2221 The Quo brand has carried on for 60 years, my favourite era was the Frantic 4 though :)

Greatest song ever without a guitar solo.

Alan Lancaster's Bass playing comes close to a solo.

I challenge anyone who can sit back, open there mind and just allow the Status Quo groove in, I'm betting they will be tapping their foot or nodding their head by the end of it.

Status Quo are considered part of the British institution in their homeland. They've been going since 1962, and had their first chart success, albeit as a, 'pop group', in 1968, with, 'Pictures of Matchstick Men.' The only single of theirs to have had any success Stateside. They continued with their success for another year or so, doing as they were told by the record producers in order to become famous, releasing, 'Ice in the Sun.' After that, they felt what they were told to play/record didn't really align with their own preferences and so, instead started playing their own boogie/blues influenced style of music. They also played down their image, appearing in t-shirts and jeans and letting their hair grow long. Gone was the, 'pop group', and by 1970, they'd reinvented themselves. They worked hard at their new craft and it was a couple of years before they had their next success, when changing record labels, with, 'Paper Plane', in 1972. This immediately got them back into the charts and they stayed there for the best part of a decade and a half, with most of their singles reaching the top 10. 'Down Down', from 1975, was their only no.1 in the UK. They came pretty close on a couple more occasions, having a few reach the no.2 position, also. The 90's were their wilderness years, it has to be said, but then did have a slight revival in the 2000's, but only just. They toured relentlessly and it's estimated that they spent a total of about 7 solid years doing so throughout their career. A fantastic hard working live band who honed their craft on the road.
Other songs from their enormous repertoire are:-
    Paper Plane
    Break The Rules
    Caroline
    Rain
    Mystery Song
    Roll Over Lay Down
    Big Fat Mama
    Forty-Five Hundred Times
    Junior's Wailing
    In My Chair
    Don't Waste My Time
    Hold You Back
    Rockin' All Over The World
    What You're Proposing
    Whatever You Want
    Ol' Rag Blues
    Slow Train
    Bye Bye Johnny

I don't think I've heard that song this century. Thanks for reminding me of leaping around the floor rocking to this as a kid. Hi again and catch ya later. And year, let go, not of anything in particular but just everything -- the word "nirvana" means something akin to breathing out, or becoming nothing, like a candle that's extinguished. In brain science terms it means you let your parasympathetic nervous system take charge. In a word, relax. And then you get what's there to be got, grab what's there to be had, drop what's not the now, and free yourself up forever. Or something like that. 🤣 Anyhow, peace and love from the UK 🕊💖Keep rocking, rapping, reacting, relaxing.

There are a few verses in this song that need attention.
It's not just Down Down, Deeper n Down.
    There are other lyrics.
Same with The Police' song "De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da"
There are multiple complex verses in both songs.
    Pay attention people.

    Great observation Pete Greenfield.
The closest they come to a solo is Alan's Bass playing.
    The mighty awesome Lancaster!!!!!!!!
QUO fell apart after Alan left the Band.

Frantic Four were great and what people consider peak Quo due to the charts and harder rock vibe but they hardly fell apart now come off it mate.

Oh yeah and another thing is QUO fans don't like this video at all.
The camera swivelling around and upside down is very disconcerting and discombobulating.
